Welcome to Hotel Montefiore, our beautifully restored, 12-room boutique hotel & award-winning restaurant in the heart of Tel Aviv. We opened in 2008 after an exhaustive three-year restoration, determined to create the city’s first intimate, boutique hotel experience.
Since then, our passion for and commitment to classic hospitality has never wavered. Hotel Montefiore delivers authentic luxury, devoted service and timeless style, nevermind the trends or gimmicks.
Inspired by stays at the finest properties around the world, we created Hotel Montefiore for travellers seeking an elegant respite with a distinctly Tel Avivian spin.
Built in 1922, Hotel Montefiore was once an Eclectic architecture-style private residence in the historic neighborhood now referred to as “Lev Hair” or “Heart of the City”. Today, the feeling of home remains unmistakable upon walking through our doors.
Before ascending to one of Hotel Montefiore’s 12 elegantly dressed rooms, guests are greeted by the bustling scene at our namesake lobby restaurant & bar. Jazz music, the cling of fine china and the hum of hearty conversation combine to create the hotel’s soundtrack.
Dark wood floors, white tablecloths, and over-sized vases exploding with crimson roses set the tone for a hospitality experience that is always classic but never stuffy. We look forward to sharing our world with you.
BEST LOCATION
Hotel Montefiore resides in a beautifully restored 1920’s Eclectic-style building on Montefiore Street. The edifice was once a private residence in what is now referred to as the “Lev Hair” neighborhood, translating to “Heart of the City.”
The neighborhood is speckled with historic former homes in stunning shades of butter and Robin’s egg blue. Even amongst them, Hotel Montefiore’s salmon-hued façade stands out.
Hotel Montefiore is situated in the heart of Tel Aviv’s White City, an area named for its distinctive white Bauhaus buildings such as the Independence Hall museum, which displays historical photos and documents, HaBima National Theater, and the Charles Bronfman Auditorium, home to the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
Hotel Montefiore is mere steps away from the bustling Rothschild Boulevard, home to many of the city’s tech offices and upscale eateries, as well as the popular Independence Trail. Walking distance to the sea and Shuk HaCarmel, there is no better base from which to explore Tel Aviv’s most beautiful offerings.

Hotel Montefiore is home to 12 spacious and luxuriously appointed rooms, each featuring choice embellishments that echo our love for classic sophistication. Natural sunlight streams in through white window panes, pouring over our signature dark hard-wood flooring.
High ceilings create a sense of space that is otherwise elusive in city accommodations, while our walls showcase contemporary works by Israeli artists. Each room boasts its own floor-to ceiling library, brimming with classic titles and contemporary novels in multiple languages, encouraging you to relax & unwind.
Meanwhile, black marble bathrooms are stocked with plush terrycloth robes and exclusive bath & beauty products created in collaboration with local vendors. As a guest of Hotel Montefiore, you will arrive to an assortment of home-baked goods from Bakery, our sister bakery with locations across the city.
We envision you reclining in your room’s leather chaise lounge enjoying a “pachzaniot” cream puff and a great book during a serene, sundrenched moment.
BON APPETIT
Our restaurant is as much a local haunt as it is a dining destination for out-of-town visitors. Serving French cuisine under a Vietnemese spell, Hotel Montefiore’s kitchen is based on seasonal, local ingredients that show off Israel’s fine range of homegrown produce & products.
Our wine list was curated by in house sommeliers to feature a range of varietals from both Israeli vineyards and foreign winemakers, while our artisanal cocktail program emphasizes local herbs & bitters.
Hotel Montefiore is one of the only places in town where you can enjoy a classic martini & tray of oysters the likes of which you’d find in Paris, while also indulging in distinctly French- Asian dishes like Duck Breast and Vietnamese Beef Tartar.
We’ve drawn inspiration from life changing meals around the world, while never straying from the flavors and preparations that we’ve grown up enjoying.
Hotel Montefiore serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and high tea seven days a week. Guests of the hotel may enjoy their meals downstairs at the restaurant or delivered to their rooms. Reservations are recommended.
