The Hanging Gardens of Bali was conceived in 2003 and completed in 2005. The concept was to create something magical and authentic in the heart of the Balinese jungle: an immersive experience in a natural tropical environment. With 700 local craftsmen using traditional materials and adapting indigenous ideas, the resort took shape in the heart of Ubud.
