GOURMET RESTAURANT
Chef Stefan Reiter and his team stand for exquisite delicacies from the amuse gueule to the assortment of sorbets. He masterfully manages to repeatedly win over even the regular guests at the Salzburgerhof in Zell am See who are very experienced in culinary matters. Stefan Reiter worked as a sous chef from 2008 to 2012, came back in 2015 and has been setting unmistakable accents as a chef ever since.

Desserts have always been very important in classic Austrian cuisine. The Salzburgerhof cultivates this tradition with a wide range of options in the “Salzburgerstube” à la carte restaurant and, in particular, with the traditional dessert buffet on Friday evenings.

Under the leadership of Lukas Schmiderer, our pâtissierie will spoil you with a daily range of strudels and cakes and evening dessert creations. “Luki” has been conjuring up sweet temptations at the Salzburgerhof since 2010 and was named “Patissier of the Year” by the Schlemmer Atlas in 2017. You must try his hand-made chocolates in particular!

The restaurant team will make your stay as pleasant as possible with an attentive eye and a passion for hospitality. Maitre & graduate sommelier Günther Rettenbacher always knows the right wine for your set menu or à la carte dishes.

THE BREAKFAST
Whether you are an early bird or prefer to sleep in, a good, hearty breakfast lets you start every day in a completely different way. If you slow down from the moment that you get up, the day can’t run away from you.

That’s why it’s important to enjoy the first meal of the day in a relaxed manner. Have a pleasant chat, breathe in the smell of cappuccino and read the newspaper from cover to cover. Because it’s often the little things in life that you should celebrate.

BAR & TERRACE
In the evening, it is a meeting place to enjoy an aperitif and a sophisticated end to the day, and in the afternoon it delights as a light-flooded salon overlooking the garden, where you can enjoy a good book, an aromatic tea and cake specialties from the in-hotel patisserie while sitting in the wing chair.

In summer it acts as an open garden paradise right on the banks of the idyllic swimming pond and in winter as a warm, cosy retreat. The long-serving bartender Peter with his smart choice of words is one more reason why the regulars keep coming back.

Here you can meet up and treat yourself to a special drop or some sparkling champagne to round off your day on holiday at the 5-star superior hotel in Austria. Our bar staff serve refreshing drinks and cocktails every day from 2.00 p.m.

Shortly after sunrise, the breakfast tables in the hotel garden are set on a sunny day. You take a seat. Enjoy. Finally have time for an extended breakfast until 11.30 a.m. Plan the day. Read through a newspaper.

Listen to the sound of the waterfall – and meet up after a sporting rendezvous for a light lunch or coffee and cake in the flowered hotel garden in the middle of Zell am See.

ROMANTIC DINNER
Flickering candlelight captivates you – always combined with fiery cuisine. Romantic clinking of glasses when the rich red wine melts on the tongue. And the filet almost melts on the plate, which sweetens the mood and turns the dessert enjoyed among the light and shadow interactions into a work of art ….

It’s an eternal longing. For delicate aromas, a spirited atmosphere and gentle taste. When the lights go out and everything is as it used to be. Then the senses awaken.

And with them the taste of the roasted flavours of steak, accompanied by the gentle hint of mustard in the salad dressing. Followed by a composition of fresh herbs and pure natural ingredients. Welcome to a sea of candles and emotions!

THE WINE CELLAR
Enjoy this privilege, the sophisticated society and the expert advice from qualified sommelier Günther Rettenbacher. His wine list with over 400 wines includes remarkable rarities and exclusive national and international top wines that will surprise even discerning connoisseurs with new nuances.

When opened in the stimulating evening mood of the hotel garden or in one of the elegant ”Stuben” at the Salzburgerhof, every bottle from the wine cellar promises a perfect gourmet moment at the gourmet hotel in Salzburg.

SALT WATER DOME
Floating, is equivalent to “gliding, hovering, drifting”, takes place in the high salt concentration from the Dead Sea. The pool is more than 60m² large and 1.2 m deep with a temperature between 34°C and 36°C. You reach not only the physical state of weightlessness but also on the spiritual – emotional level.

We are the only establishment in Austria which offers accompanied floating: a trained aqua balancer accompanies you with deliberately gentle streching exercises and a mobilisation which optimally loosens the musculature.

Boosters for the knees and neck help you to achieve the floating state at the beginning. These aids are usually not required after the initial stage, since the state of absolute relaxation has been achieved. How far – or, rather, how deep – the therapist goes with whom, is decided during the course of the application.

If you really immerse yourself into this unique, total relaxation experience and are prepared to really give yourself up completely, floating becomes an unforgettable, fascinating experience that carrys the floater into a formerly unknown embryonic and primordial state. Light and sound effects assist the magic of this “floating” wellness maxim.

DRAGONS GROTTO
Ionised oxygen and nebulised salt water (with or without steam, upon request) are fed into the grotto. A rejuvenation cure for the cells, a good deed for the bronchial tubes and your feeling of wellbeing as a whole. Mystical interplays of colour round off this experience, taking you to a state of pleasant wellbeing.
