VOMO LAILAI (LITTLE VOMO)
A short distance to the west of VOMO sits Vomo Lai Lai, a true deserted island. Surrounded by trademark aqua waters, this tiny island has some of the finest snorkelling and diving we have to offer. Vomo Lai Lai can be hired by romantic couples for your own Robinson Crusoe experience.

We take you by boat the short 1 mile/1.6 kilometres to the island, set up a beautiful gourmet picnic for you to enjoy under a shady umbrella. You’ll have a two-way radio to call when you want to return back to ‘civilisation’ at VOMO or if you run out of champagne.

TALEITAKI  VILLA
The ultimate tropical island vacation residence. Four bedroom holiday home affording indulgent indoor/outdoor entertainment & relaxation spaces. Introducing Taleitaki – Fijian name meaning “Precious Place to which you’ll want to return to”. A stunning all-inclusive vacation for up to 8 guests. 410 sqm of space to experience VOMOlife with family and friends.

Existing bedding – one super king bed in each of the four bedrooms to accommodate a total of eight (8) people. The beds in bedrooms 2 and 4 can be split into twin configuration. Maximum occupancy with additional charged bedding and meals is 10 people of any age.

Set on a generous north facing beach frontage, is Taleitaki. This four (4) bedroom home has been meticulously designed to take advantage of its location, whilst considering the privacy of each guest in your travelling party with a multitude of alfresco entertainment spaces.

All bedrooms feature private outdoor showers whilst three of the bedrooms feature an outdoor bath for the ultimate bathing experience under a canopy of stars.

At the centrepiece of the home, the kitchen and living space lends itself to indoor and outdoor dining and relaxation spaces that flow effortlessly to create the ultimate in relaxed home living. A Butler’s pantry with separate entry provides a space for unobtrusive meal & beverage preparation behind the scenes.

VOMO offers a complimentary daily laundry service and Taleitaki also includes a laundry with washer/dryer. The sky blue 14 metre infinity pool set amidst the Dilo trees, offers vistas to the Yasawa Islands.

Thoughtfully designed and with extensive use of beautiful natural timbers throughout, Taleitaki lends itself to the ultimate in luxe tropical living and is one of VOMO’s most modern residences offering great space and privacy.

THE BEACHOUSE 
A grand 3 bedroom luxury residence with 14 metre infinity pool, positioned halfway along north-facing Yasawa Beach. Centrally located to all island amenities including The Rocks, Ocean Play water sports, the golf course and Kui Spa. Includes a dedicated VOMO Butler on hand at all times to help guests create magical Vomo moments.

The BeacHouse caters for couples and families craving a sophisticated island experience. Three beautifully appointed king bedrooms have indoor ensuites, private outdoor showers, private sun decks with double daybeds and a majestic outdoor bath for the master suite. Two bedrooms are available in twin configuration.

The house wraps around the large infinity pool and is only steps away from the soft sands and lapping ocean of VOMO. American Oak floorboards lead out to expansive deck areas cooled by the island’s only fine-mist cooling system and accented with contemporary Dedon furnishings, lounging areas and covered outdoor dining.

Broad steps lead into the pool, providing shallow options. The poolside shower enables a smooth transition from beachside to BeacHouse. A media room offers entertainment for all guests.

Whilst all meals are included in the nightly rate at VOMO’s restaurants for The BeacHouse guests, the kitchen in this residence is a gastronomic dream, with top of the range stainless steel appliances and a 200-bottle wine fridge.

An outdoor barbeque enables a more casual style of poolside grilling and dining for evenings when you may choose to eat-in. Adjacent to the entrance to The BeacHouse is an outdoor cocktail and dining courtyard, complete with pizza oven, teppanyaki plate, BBQ, gas fire, mist cooling and plentiful relaxed seating.

VOMO’s chefs can prepare meals for guests using any of these culinary options at additional cost. Lush native and tropical plantings over the entire property and an exotic fragrance garden offer both privacy and sensory delight.

Positioned halfway along north-facing Yasawa Beach, The BeacHouse is centrally located to all island amenities including The Rocks, Ocean Play activities, Kui Spa, Gym and The Reef Restaurant. THE PALMS
The Palms is a richly unique residence located on the beach front, on north facing Yasawa Beach. You’re situated amidst pools and water walls set in an opulent space that is the ultimate ‘live in – live out’ residence.

From the grand porte cochere entry, you step inside to the hub of the house – the main living areas, consisting of open plan lounge and service kitchen that overlook the U shape swimming pool.

Beautifully appointed at every turn, The Palms is very contemporary in design with an abundance of open space and includes state of art Bose audio visual sound systems. Four bedrooms are stylishly designed and three of the oversized bedrooms feature lounge areas and deep luxurious baths in the outdoor bathroom.

Each of the 4 bedrooms has king beds that can be reconfigured as twin single and 5 star ensuite bathrooms. Two of the four bedrooms are in separate pavilions, whilst the mastersuite is connected to the fourth bedroom under the same roof – perfect for families.

The large U shape pool is partially covered allowing you to bathe in or out of the Fijian sun. Beautifully appointed with bespoke furnishings crafted specifically for The Palms, you are immersed in a truly unique piece of paradise.

BEACHFRONT VILLAS & HAVENS
Located only steps away from the beachfront, Beachfront Villas are VOMO’s most popular accommodation for couples or families of up to 4. Villas have dressing rooms at the rear of each villa, privacy curtains to separate the bed from the lounge area and very large bathrooms with free standing bath tub and walk in shower.

With contemporary island chic furnishings in a neutral palette, your Beachfront Villa or Haven opens onto a deck with personal sun loungers and vistas of the palm fringed beach. There are duplex pairs of Beachfront Villas available with inter-connecting internal door, to suit families.

Like our Beachfront Retreats, Beachfront Villas (not Havens) are interconnecting with the neighouring villa. Perfect for families of 5 or more who wish to be in close proximity.

HILLSIDE VILLAS 
VOMO’s private Hillside Villas – on top of the world. Spectacular garden/ocean views and seclusion. Located just a moment’s stroll from the Reef Restaurant, Vuda Bar, swimming pool, and beach. The interior is island chic and very functional, with contemporary furnishings of timber, rattan, and natural fibres.

Villas feature privacy curtains between the bed and the lounge area and a dressing room at the rear of each villa. Large bathrooms feature free-standing bathtubs and walk-in shower, provide a spacious haven for bathing.

The villas located higher on the hillside pathway feature stunning views over the ocean and island, whilst the lower Hillside Villas afford pleasant garden views. Perfect for couples seeking more seclusion or families with children over 4 years.

DINING
Organic, island-fresh culinary creations changing daily. Incredible food and wine isn’t just something we’re passionate about, we’re renowned for it. VOMO’s Executive Chef Iain Todd, hails from Tasmania Australia, where he honed his skills to bring the freshest local ingredients to the table, with flair and flavour to tantalise the palate.

Iain leads the VOMO culinary team in the creation of world-class cuisine and premium international beverage selections served throughout VOMO, that fit just perfectly into the tropical environment.

The VOMO culinary team ensure VOMO’s highly regarded reputation as a premier gourmet destination in the South Pacific. With produce sourced from the best domestic and international suppliers, dishes are complemented with ingredients straight from VOMO’s own gardens.

With a great love for food and creating memorable dining experiences for guests, our team strives to better the dining experience with each meal. All meals are included for all guests throughout your stay at the resort’s restaurants.

Breakfast at the Reef Restaurant is a vast selection of fresh fruits, nuts, yoghurts, chia puddings, muesli, cereals, island baked pastries and breads from our chilled walk-in breakfast buffet room.

Your breakfast a la carte menu features delicious breakfast meals, made to order. All served up with espresso & latte coffees, specialty teas, fresh blended juices and infused waters. Open 7am to 10am daily for everyone to enjoy.

Lunch is available at Reef Restaurant for all resort guests from 12noon to 3pm. A choice of several items across three course menus, that change every day of the week. Every menu at VOMO features vegetarian, lactose free and gluten free options. A vegan menu is available also on request.

Lunch is offered at The Rocks Restaurant for adult guests from 1pm to 4pm daily, dishing up an eclectic and delicious Asian menu selection to enjoy in the restaurant or at your deck chair or cabana by the poolside.

Dinner is served nightly at Reef Restaurant from 6.30pm for all resort guests. Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, we offer a sophisticated la carte dining menu with a selection of 4 starters, main meals and desserts.

There are vegetarian, gluten and lactose free options on all menus. On Thursday and Sunday evenings, Reef Restaurant has a more relaxed family style menu. There is entertainment each night at Reef Restaurant.

Children are welcome to dine with parents or can enjoy their own dining experience at The Kids Village from 5.30pm from the fabulous kids menu. Wednesday evening, is VOMO’s Lovo, Meke and barbecue night.

The Rocks is open for adults only dining (fr 16 years) on Thursday and Sunday evenings with a journey through South East Asia of share plates. The extensive menu changes regularly and features stand out cuisine, not usually found in Pacific Rim dining rooms. Open from 6.30pm right after sunset canapés and cocktail hour.

THE REEF RESTAURANT
The Reef is VOMO’s main dining restaurant, perfectly positioned with a pretty outlook over the swimming pool and out to palm fringed beaches and ocean vistas.

Breakfast is served daily from 7.00am to 10.30am. Your selections start in the Chill Room; a walk-in air-conditioned room, brimming with fresh fruits, home made parfaits, cereals, yoghurts, cheeses, cold cuts and island baked pastries and breads.

Your main menu provides options from the kitchen of blended juices, hot plated breakfast selections and espresso coffees and teas made to order. VOMO’s chefs prepare delicious 3 course lunches and 4 course dinners each day, with 4 options in each course.

Menus change every day, ensuring each time you are seated for a meal, there’s surprise and delight awaiting you. Our Executive Chef, Michael Fosbender, has designed menus to suit the tropical environment, using both locally sourced and imported produce.

Keeping the menu fresh, varied & light, your taste buds will be taken on a culinary journey of the Pacific Rim. On balmy evenings guests dine poolside, at elegant candlelit tables, under a canopy of pretty stars. VOMO serenaders entertain with soft acoustic Fijian and international tunes to enhance your dining experience.

Pair this with a carefully curated wine list and service from our VOMO culinary team and you have the makings of magical tropical island moments to remember forever. Restricted diets are catered to with every menu offering Lactose Free, Gluten Free and Vegetarian options. Delicious Vegan menus are also available on request.

Those with allergies and strict food limitations, can be catered for in consultation with Chef, to ensure all culinary team members are made aware of the dietary restrictions of the guest.

PRIVATE DINING
By special arrangement with the Indulge team, private lunches or dinners can be served as a special treat for loved ones or as an intimate option for groups or families wishing to dine together.

Choose to dine on the deck of your villa or residence or perhaps down on the beach front at twilight, with the sand between your toes and the sounds of the waves on the shore. Ask our Indulge team about Yasawa Lobster & Chilli Crab Platters optional at additional supplement and on request subject to availability.

FAMILY DINING
Children are welcome to dine with adults at The Reef Restaurant for all meals. Seating is provided in consideration of other adult guests and with preference for early dining times of an evening.

In fact at VOMO, The Kids have their own daily changing menus and dedicated Chef to whip up favourites such as Spaghetti Bolognaise and Chicken Stir Fry and also more exotic selections such as spaghetti bolognaise and some more exotic options such as Bento Boxes & Asian Udon Mushroom Noodles.

The Kids Village may be used by children to dine from 12noon to 7pm for lunch or dinner or any time in between. Of an evening tables are set at the Kids Village Restaurant from 5.30pm, so children can dine together and adults can make every night ‘date night’ if they choose.

FIJI CULTURAL NIGHT
Each Wednesday evening, VOMO host a cocktail party on the beachfront for all guests to meet our team & enjoy complimentary coconut cocktails and other refreshments.

Following this twilight hour of beverages and mingling, the VOMO family of staff perform a special cultural performance, called a ‘Meke’ (pronounced meh-kay). This vibrant performance of song, dance and movement, is truly captivating and provides an insight into the history of Fiji.

This is followed by a Kava ceremony where the ‘Chief’ serves the national drink that is made in a timber Tanoa bowl and performs the ceremonial offering of the drink to special guests who wish to partake in tasting it.

All guests are then treated to a Fijian Feast where meats and vegetables are cooked in an earth oven, that is prepared on Wednesday morning and has been cooking all afternoon. This traditional style of Fijian cooking is called a ‘Lovo’.

The food items such as pork, fish and root vegetables are wrapped in palm leaves and buried in coals, resulting in a unique smokey flavour. The Lovo is accompanied by a barbecue and buffet and VOMO’s famous ‘dessert room’.

The acoustic Fijian music continues throughout the evening. Often heralded as everyone’s favourite night in Fiji, this is not to be missed. No surcharges apply.

THE ROCKS RESTAURANT
Located on the western tip of the island, overlooking the little island of Vomo Lailai, The Rocks Restaurant offers modern dining with majestic views. The Rocks is VOMO’s very chic beach club for adult guests over 16 years.

Rocks Restaurant is open daily from 1pm to 4pm for lunch with a grazing menu of delicious selections, perfect for poolside dining. On Thursday and Sunday evenings, our Chefs prepare a menu that’s inspired by Indian, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Thai flavours.

Guests will work their way through a selection of items they choose from the menus, sharing plates together, exploring a plethora of Asian flavours.

THE VUDA BAR
The Vuda Bar (pronounced Voon-dah) is located adjacent to The Reef Restaurant and swimming pool, conveniently located just steps from the beach front. Open from 7.00am to brew delicious espresso coffees, speciality teas and refreshing juices to get your morning started.

Our VOMO Indulge team will circle the pool deck right throughout the day to mix cocktails, mocktails and all manner of indulgent beverages to keep guests hydrated and happy.

Start your day with one of VOMO’s fresh blended juices such as the Vomo Detox or Green Machine at breakfast. A delicious concoction to get your day started. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better espresso or cappucino in Fiji than those prepared by the Vuda Bar barista team at VOMO.

If tea is your cuppa, we have a selection of beautiful tea leaves to brew just the way you like it. For the wine buffs, VOMO has a carefully curated wine list to ensure your meals are paired with the perfect choice of wines & champagne, sourced from New Zealand, Australia, France and The Americas.

THE ROCKS BAR
The Rocks Bar is our adults only environment, located on the western tip of the island and offering adults only infinity swimming pool and relaxation areas. Open from 10am and serving refreshing beverages and light lunch menu, The Rocks is a quiet haven, with stunning vistas.

As the day draws to a close, guests gather at Rocks Bar. This is THE place to enjoy sundowners in an adults only environment and the best place to enjoy a famous South Pacific sunset behind Vomo Lailai. Twice weekly Rocks dining offers delicious share plate menus, featuring Pacific Rim cuisine for adult guests.

PRIVATE DINING
We love a special occasion and sometimes that might simply be, that you’re are on vacation at VOMO, so why not celebrate in style? Perhaps the day could begin with our Indulgent breakfast at the yoga deck. The culinary team will set a superb feast of tropical fruits, island baked pastries, blended juices and more, for you to enjoy as the sun rises in the East.

As the surrounding islands wake up in a fantasy of colour and light, you’ll have a breathtaking view of the dawn, as you dine on your breakfast at the summit of the eastern end of Mt Vomo.

To top off this amazing awakening experience, why not engage our island Yogi, to take you through some wake up stretches and poses before you dine on your scenic delicious breakfast feast. Private picnics can be organised on our little princess island across the way or on VOMO’s own beachfront.

For the ultimate indulgent picnic, you can hire our tiny island of Vomo Lailai for a beautiful white table cloth luncheon for two. Complete with sun loungers, shade, beach towels, icy cold beverages and a delicious gourmet picnic of seafood, salads, cold cuts, fruits and desserts.

The entire tiny island will be for your exclusive use for the hours you choose to spend there. There is idyllic swimming and snorkelling around the island or just relax and be carefree. We leave you with a two-way radio, so just call us when you want to be ‘rescued’ or if you run out of champagne!

VOMO LAILAI PICNICS
Vomo Lailai can be reserved for picnics, romantic getaways or the sheer adventure of being completely alone, with dining and daybed platforms offering privacy and comfort during your visit.

Staff will deliver you, a gourmet picnic and your choice of beverages to the island, leaving you with a two-way radio and more privacy than you may have ever experienced.

Gourmet island picnics with chilled beverages can be prepared and delivered to you throughout the island for an intimate yet relaxed dining experience. An island picnic is a beautiful way to share your breakfast or lunch with someone in one of the many idyllic locations on VOMO.

VOMO knows that to keep the natural beauty of the island alive for current and future generations, it must look after and protect its environment. Despite often being referred to as the most beautiful island in the Mamanuca group, VOMO knows that to keep the natural beauty of the island alive for current and future generations, it must look after and protect its environment.

VOMO is a proud member of the Mamanuca Environment Society (MES), an organisation founded in 2001 to protect the stunning marine environment of the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji. Along with other key stakeholders in the region, we are committed to the promotion of environmental awareness and to protect the marine and terrestrial resources in the area.

To support this cause worthy initiative, a nominal fee of FJ$5 will be added to the room charge per stay. It is entirely voluntary and the fee may be removed if guests choose not to participate. ‘MES remains forever grateful for the generosity of our sponsors’

VOMO is committed to reducing our human footprint and has implemented some steps towards making VOMO single-use plastic free. We started small by eradicating the use of plastic straws on island and replacing with paper ones.

The next phase was the introduction of our own bottling plant on VOMO. We opened an automated bottling plant that provides guests with purified drinking water in sealed reusable glass bottles.

We have also commissioned our own scented soaps and lotions and will be providing these in guest villas in beautiful ceramic dispensers, allowing us to do away with the small single use plastic bottles that hotels currently use.

These are significant steps towards ensuring VOMO stays committed to our stated cause to care for our environment, so that generations to come can enjoy this pristine environment we call home.

FIJIAN CULTURE
Proud cultural traditions and strong family values make for the happiest people in the world. The Fijian culture is an extremely important part of VOMO’s ethos. Fiji has an ancient and living culture and this is celebrated at VOMO.

The genuine warmth and hospitality of the Fijian people needs to be experienced to be appreciated. You hear about the friendly people of Fiji but it is not until you stay at VOMO that you will fully understand how the Fijian way of life integrates so harmoniously with hospitality.

The Fijian culture is much about community and family, just as VOMO is. Here at VOMO you will find heartfelt luxury. Each week, usually on a Wednesday evening, VOMO hosts all guests for a cocktail party, followed by an authentic and very entertaining Meke and Lovo night.

In the morning, the Lovo pit is prepared where some of the evening meal is cooked in the traditional Fijian method under the ground. The evening ceremony includes a selection of Meke dances and songs performed by the VOMO family of staff.

Guests also have the opportunity to try the national ‘drink’ called Kava in a ceremony following the Meke and throughout the evening dinner service of the Lovo. Following the Meke, VOMO’s chefs present a Fijian-inspired buffet featuring local ingredients and authentic island dishes. We can confidently say you will remember the Meke as a highlight of your stay.

The Kids Village at VOMO also integrates the Fijian culture into the children’s programme through several of the activities included. Throughout your stay you may be able to celebrate the Tree of Life with us where we educate guests about the coconut palm tree and its importance as part of Fijian life through various discussions, demonstrations, and activities that are part of the optional daily program.

KAVA
Kava or kava-kava is a crop of the western Pacific. The roots of the plant are used to produce a drink with sedative, anesthetic, and entheogenic properties. Kava is used for medicinal, religious, political, cultural and social purposes throughout the Pacific.

These cultures have a great respect for the plant and place a high importance on it. In Fiji, for example, a formal yaqona (kava) ceremony will often accompany important social, political, religious, etc. functions, usually involving a ritual presentation of the bundled roots as a sevusevu (gift), and drinking of the yaqona itself.

FISHING
Fishing excursions are available through our Oceanplay team. Our chefs eagerly await your return ready to create the perfect island feast with your catch. The waters around VOMO offer a rich variety of both pelagic and demersal species, from giant trevally, spanish mackerel and coral trout, all of which can be encountered throughout the year.

The art of fishing, reading the tides, feeding times and breeding patterns is ingrained within the Fijian culture and our passionate team at Ocean Play are well versed in all species around VOMO and further adrift.

Troll and casting around VOMO or learn the local tradition of hand line fishing. Hand line fishing is a great family experience and a great opportunity to introduce children to the joy of fishing. With our experienced crew, even the most novice fisherman can be confident of catching that once in a lifetime fish.

• MAY TO SEPTEMBER – During these cooler months where the water temperatures drop to around 23 – 26oC, you can experience the best fishing VOMO has to offer. From large spanish mackerel around VOMO, to the great fighting fish, the giant trevally, or even the lesser known mackerel tuna, the cooler waters allow for greater fishing windows to catch that prized fish.
• OCTOBER TO APRIL – During these warmer months, the water temperatures can reach as high as 30oC, the fish swim deep to cooler waters allowing the art and skill of fishing to shine through. Alongside the local residents of VOMO including giant trevally, spanish mackerel, coral trouts and snappers, an early morning or late evening fish can see you experience the speed of the Barracuda or schools of mahi mahi feeding on flying fish.

Along the barriers and drop-offs on the edge of the Mamanuca and Yasawa atolls, sports fishing for the big pelagic fish can be targeted throughout the year. Some of these species are territorial and will be released when appropriate.

VOMO has a strict ‘catch & release’ policy for all non-pelagic species. Our team will ensure you capture a photo with your bounty before its released back into the ocean. Ensuring our fishing does not impact future generations, some pelagic species will be released back into the ocean during breeding seasons.

GOLF
VOMO provides a range of exercise pursuits for those who like to keep their health regime on course while on holidays. One of the bonuses being a larger island is having the space to play. If sitting still is not your forte we’ve plenty of traditional exercise options scattered in amongst our green lush gardens.

The VOMO gym, keeps the fitness fanatics feeling pumped while our golf course and tennis court allow for quality couple and family time – all the fun and healthy activities you struggle to find time for when at home.

VOMO offers a fun 9 hole pitch and putt golf course for everyone to use without charge. The resort has a few sets of golf clubs for both adults and children that are complimentary to hire.

The floodlit tennis court is available for guest use at any time without charge. A selection of racquets and balls are available at reception. There’s also a basketball hoop at one end of the court, for those who want to practice their shooting.

The Gym is located adjacent to Spa in the middle of the island, next to the golf course. This air-conditioned facility houses a cross trainer, walking machine, stationery cycle machines, free weights and pull down weights. The air conditioned gym is open 24 hours with complimentary access for all guests.

TREKKING
The size of VOMO means plenty of exploration on foot available to those who love to give their legs a little island adventure. See our island trek map below.

All guests are encouraged to pack a good pair of walking shoes or joggers and walk or run the trail to the summit of Mt Vomo. It is a short steep walk of around 15 minutes to the summit, although some have completed this run in under 4 minutes.

There are tracks around the base of Mt Vomo that lead to the furthest hill at the eastern end of VOMO. It is approximately 30 minutes walk to this hill, where you will find the yoga deck. From here, the views of the surrounding islands are breathtaking. Highly recommended at sunrise or sunset.

There are around 5km or 3 miles of beaches that encircle VOMO. To circumnavigate the entire island, takes around 1 to 1.5 hours. Along the way you will find numerous deserted beaches, rocky outcrops and beautiful swimming spots.

We recommend departing on a falling tide and to advise Ocean Play or Reception of your departure before you leave. To raise funds for our favourite charity Cure Kids Fiji, VOMO has the Mt Vomo Challenge.

Any guests who wish to participate can pay $10 each time they run or walk to the top of Mt Vomo and log their time on the STRAVA APP on their device. Your entry fee goes to charity and you go into the lucky draw to win 5 nights at VOMO.

Whilst the Mt Vomo Challenge is not a time challenge, the best time to beat is 3 minutes 20 seconds by Kunaal Pajpal in 2018.

SCUBA DIVING 
VOMO has an array of great sites, very close to the resort and with some fascinating diving, including swim through caves. The island is located between the Mamanuca and the Yasawa Island groups. The waters neighboring Vomo Island Fiji have constantly warm waters with wonderful visibility.

Submerge yourself in vast schools of butterflyfish and oriental sweetlips; drift the channels with white tips, Giant Trevallies and Blue fin King fish; descend deep sea ridges with napoleon wrasses and spotted eagle rays; spot turtles or marvel the stunning species that inhabit the massive volcanic reef-formations.

Exciting sites with thrilling channels, coral filled overhangs, fascinating caves or interesting tunnels and boulders are waiting for you. Snorkel with parrot fish, the beautiful blue linckia sea star, small reef sharks and anemone fish just to name a few in front of Mamanucas and Yasawa Beach.

Vomo Padi Ocean Play Dive Centre offers tailor-made programmes and personalized experiences with specialty courses taught by a very high experienced instructor.

All of our Diving Centre equipment is top quality Aqualung BCD’s and regulators, with the option of weight belts or integrated weights. Our BCD’s are even male or female fit. We offer good quality masks of different sizes and shapes if our guests do not have their own. We have got fins in all sizes (closed heels).

Our wetsuits have different thicknesses in every size, either long or short according to every guest needs. We offer as well wrist dive computers and for emergency waterproof pocket VHF for our safety. We also offer good quality reachable dive torches.

Our dive boat is fully shaded with a 150hp outboard engine. The boat is very comfortable with a length of 8.6 meters. All of our dives are reached by boat. We will be offering courses, single dives and double tank dives. We always look after the needs of divers individually, making sure they are comfortable.

We have a policy if guest has not been diving within the last year they must do a refresher course. We will limit the divers to 6 per boat depending on their qualification. We also try and put the same level of divers together. We do not have set times for diving, we will always arrange the dives depending on tides, winds, swells, qualification of divers and needs.

FITNESS
VOMOfit is a range of workouts and challenges, conducted by our island based VOMOFit Instructors. Each morning at 8am, guests meet at Reception to participate in our complimentary classes.

Some days you might walk to the yoga deck on Mt Vomo, to do some stretches and enjoy some of Fiji’s best views. Other mornings, you’ll be put through your paces using the free weights in our gym.

We even conduct some Aquafit classes at our adults pool. Sessions are free of charge. Pack some light comfortable clothing and sports shoes. VOMO also offers complimentary group yoga classes at 7am daily, from Tuesday through to Sunday.

We encourage all guests to help our charity of choice, Cure Kids Fiji, by participating in The Mt Vomo Challenge. By walking or running to the summit of Mt Vomo, you can help raise money for Cure Kids Fiji and go into the draw to win a 5 night stay at Vomo Island.

To be in the running to win the holiday, we ask each guest to pay $10 each time they scale the mountain. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you walk or run. It’s all about making the effort to walk to the summit of Mt Vomo and enjoying the amazing vistas available from the top!

The walk up Mt Vomo generally takes around 15 minutes, but some have be known to run to the summit in under 4 minutes. Our Mt Vomo Challenge Ambassor, is Channel 7’s Sunrise Sports Host, Mark Beretta. Mark ran to the summit in 5 minutes and 4 seconds in 2016 when we launched the challenge. Mark challenges you “Are you Better than Beretta?”.

Other ways to keep fit are on the 9 hole pitch and putt golf course at VOMO – a challenging little course that can be played by all guests, no matter what your skill level is. We have a few sets of clubs for adults and children. Use of the golf course and clubs are free of charge.

Our tennis court has a synthetic grass surface and is floodlit for night use. Use of the tennis court is free of charge. Racquets and balls are available for complimentary use from the Front Office.
