A stunning panoramic view overlooking the Lérins Islands and the Estérel mountains, everything you could possibly dream of. Finest gastronomy and leisure by the private beach combined to five-star service… all temptations that Cap d’ Antibes Beach Hotel has to offer.

Right on the water edge, this unique site of almost 2.5 acres is a famous address in Cap d’ Antibes. With its terraces and private sandy beach, this is the perfect venue to unwind with friends or family.

It offers a wide range of gourmet experiences with its gastronomic restaurant Les Pêcheurs (1 Michelin star) and healthy with its beach restaurant Le Cap.

Since May 2009, this idyllic setting has played host to a new Relais & Châteaux property with 27 rooms and suites offering refined lines of contemporary architecture surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. All the charm and freshness of a garden bathed by the sea.

Cap d’ Antibes Beach Hotel has gotten bigger in 2016, extending to 35 keys including 8 new rooms and suites. Combined, both new suites Design and Executive constitute a 130 sqm. meters two bedroom suite, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

This Double suite features a Jacuzzi, a private access and an outstanding view over the Lerins islands. The 6 additional rooms also have fantastic views of Cap d’ Antibes Halfway between Cannes and Nice, Cap d’Antibes Beach Hôtel is a 40-minute drive from Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport.

Ideally located on the seafront, it is also easily and quickly reachable by boat. This is one of the most prestigious addresses in Côte d’Azur which provide this all of these arguments.

History

At the beginning of the 20th century, large properties stretched down to the sea. Only one little path allowed the curious to discover Cap d’Antibes. In those days, two little huts built of stones surveyed the Bay du Croûton.

These rudimentary buildings were used by the fishermen to store their nets. Today, old fishermen tell the story of the Baron, the owner of the cape, who allowed the fishermen to stay on in exchange of an annual “bouillabaisse”.

In 1954, Camille Rayon, a hero of the French Resistance nicknamed “The Archduke”, acquired the two huts and the grounds of 750 sq. He obtained the permission to build a jetty and gradually took back more land from the sea.

The tiny “Port du Croûton” came into being. With help from the fishermen, Camille Rayon then built a restaurant between the two huts. He called it “La Maison des Pêcheurs” in tribute to these men of the sea who caught and cooked the fish, and even served it in the dining-room.

The venue became a sought-after address for its authentic cuisine and its legendary “bouillabaisse” prepared by Ricardo. It attracted the elegant clientele from Le Provençal and the Hôtel du Cap.

Elections of Miss Festival de Cannes were held there, and the arrival of Brigitte Bardot and her husband Pierre Charrier at the wheel of a 2 CV didn’t go unnoticed. From Sophia Loren to Gary Grant, all the stars and personalities of the time could be spotted at the restaurant.

It was here that the MICA, the aristocracy of the yachting world, organized their most brilliant receptions, and Eddy Barclay inaugurated his legendary parties on the themes of different colors. In 1960, the Rayon family turned the space beneath the restaurant.

They built a night-club with a concert hall accommodating up to 1,000 guests, a fashion boutique, an outdoor pool and a bowling alley. It was the heyday of Juan-les-Pins, and the Maison des Pêcheurs became a meeting-place for those attending the Cannes Film Festival.

Jazzmen adopted the place and it soon resounded to the frenzied rhythms of their impromptu jam sessions. Jazz, elegant tuxedos, glamorous evening gowns and smart American cars then set the scene for the most enchanting evenings ever seen on the French Riviera.

In 1967, the construction of Port Gallice and its breakwater permitted the creation of a small sandy beach: this seafront area became a bridgehead for watersports.

Sailing was popular, as well as the sea kart, a small forerunner of the jet-ski. Invented by ex-parachutist Camille Rayon, the first parachute rides over the sea were tried out there.

Great water-skiing champions, World Champion Philippe Logut and European Champion Maxime Vaseille gave thrilling demonstrations of their skills. The first scuba diving club adopted the site to try out the first oxygen cylinders.

Sponsored by the Aga Khan, this diving club boasted a membership of famous pioneers such as Commander Cousteau, Loulou and “Porte Latine”. In 1981, the Rayon family sold the property to a local family of fishermen, the Bargès.

Afterwards, La Maison des Pêcheurs changed hands several times before entering a long period of inactivity. When the Ferrante family acquired La Maison des Pêcheurs in 2003, the legendary site had been left to abandon for quite a few years.

The buildings were sound but needed complete refurbishment. The Ferrantes invested 3.5 million euros in renovation. The aim was to use the original structure to create luxurious, versatile and very modern premises, designed to draw an international clientele with a high profile in search of leisure facilities.

“The Ferrantes are very courageous to bring this outstanding site back to life, unfortunately abandoned for too many years. Cap d’Antibes can only congratulate itself and encourage this initiative which will help to regild the town’s image. I sincerely wish them every success…” – Pierre Rayon, son of the site’s creator.

In 2008, the Ferrante family decided to transform the property by building a luxury hotel with 27 rooms and suites, together with a Summer Beach Wellness center, while keeping the gastronomic restaurant Les Pêcheurs and the private beach with its restaurant.

The transformation work totaling 12 million euros enabled Cap d’ Antibes Beach Hotel to become the newest gem in the crown of Cap d’Antibes.

Our Restaurants & Bar
Relais & Châteaux is committed to « making the world a better place through hospitality and cuisine. » With these values in mind, Nicolas Rondelli, Michelin-starred chef of the Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel, showcases local cuisine by working with the products of market gardeners, fishermen, and artisans from the area around Antibes. Discover Mediterranean-inspired tasty recipes in each of our three restaurants.

A Michelin-starred experience
Every evening, our Michelin-starred restaurant opens its doors to guests on the bay of Cap d’Antibes. Inside, you’ll discover a serene setting that breaks free from the traditional, with fabulous modern decor and a spectacular view of the sunset and sea.

Once you are seated, the ballet put on by Julien’s service staff begins. Bit by bit, you’ll feast on Chef Rondelli’s creations, each one tastier than the next and presented in unique ceramic dishes designed especially for the hotel by Agnès Sandahl, an artist from Vallauris.

Finest local producers
At Les Pêcheurs, the cuisine is resolutely Mediterranean and highlights local products carefully selected by Nicolas Rondelli in the purest Relais & Châteaux tradition. Benefit from the expertise of our Head Sommelier Frederic to choose the wines that go best with each of our refined dishes.

The Chef Nicolas Rondelli
Native of Nice, Nicolas Rondelli studied at the Lycée Paul-Augier before joining Alain Llorca’s team when the latter was Head Chef at the Chanteclerc restaurant at the Hotel Negresco in Nice.

He continued his training at other prestigious hotels such as the Réserve de Beaulieu with Olivier Brulard, the Maison des Pêcheurs with Francis Chauveau, and the Grand Hotel Cala Rossa R&C in Corsica.

Rondelli then became Head Chef of the famous Félix in Cannes, before taking over the reins of the Michelin-starred Hostellerie du Château restaurant in the back lands of Grasse.

Rise to stardom
A perfectionist at heart and a lover of the cuisine of Nice, he then teamed up with Michelin-starred chef Jacques Chibois in another Relais & Châteaux hotel. Finally, in 2016, Rondelli returned to his roots and now delights guests at the Michelin-starred « Les Pêcheurs » restaurant.

« Cooking? It has always been a passion of mine, which I undoubtedly got from my grandmother. » Give in to the temptation of his Mediterranean recipes highlighted by exotic touches and his childhood memories.

Mediterranean Flavors
Facing Cap d’Antibes and the Lérins islands, our chic and trendy beach restaurant Le Cap is perfect for enjoying a gourmet meal with your feet in the water.

You’ll be warmly welcomed by Angelo, Jules, and Alexandre, who have been here since the beginning. Nothing beats the reassurance of familiar faces and the quality of Relais & Châteaux…

Created by our Michelin-starred chef Nicolas Rondelli, our menu features healthy and delicious Mediterranean cuisine enhanced by local seasonal products including the fresh daily catch delivered each morning by the chef’s fisherman friend Tony.

Chic & casual atmosphere
Our beach bar is one of the iconic spots of Cap d’Antibes. Formerly known as the legendary « Maison des Pêcheurs, » which was popular amongst the jet set in the 80s and 90s, this spot has maintained its appeal and is now the festive and friendly pulse of the Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel.

Resembling a Caribbean straw hut, it instantly puts you in a vacation state of mind as you’re greeted by bartenders with contagious smiles. The only thing you have to worry about is choosing a cocktail!

In the summer, our beach bar stays open well into the evening with a stunning sunset as a backdrop, making it the perfect starting point before hitting the town.

A trattoria in the Old Antibes
Le Nacional Trattoria is an authentic Italian restaurant located in the heart of Old Antibes on Place Nationale, a few steps from the Provencal Market.

Thanks to its central location, you can enjoy a delicious meal while taking a break from tourist attractions such as the Picasso and Peynet museums, the famous ramparts, the Absinthe Bar, and the St Bernardin Chapel.

Whether sitting on the terrace under the golden sun of Antibes or comfortably seated inside the luminous patio, dining at the Nacional Trattoria is like being at an old-fashioned trattoria in Italy with friends or family.

The flavor of Italy
Our cuisine is exemplified by simplicity, refinement, truth, and tradition. We take special care to select ingredients that transport you directly to Italy after the very first bite.

Our menu is regularly updated in accordance with the seasons. You’ll find the fundamentals of Italian cuisine such as thin and crispy pizza and risotto, as well as fritto misto and must-try Veal Milanese. Our menu is also enhanced by a selection of premium meats.

Nibble on fresh, authentic, and delicious dishes while contemplating the world over a good wine. You’ll experience la dolce vita.

An entertainment invitation
Open from the beginning of April when beautiful spring weather returns, the Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel is all about enjoying nature.

You’ll recharge your batteries while relaxing in our Mediterranean gardens, lying on our sandy beach with your feet in the water, or indulging in sports such as jet-skiing, water aerobics, and paddle boarding on the sea…

The site
The Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel offers two distinct spaces to unwind at the hands of Marie and her team of trained massage therapists.

The first is inside the hotel, a heated or air-conditioned alcove (depending on the season) near the entrance to the Wellness Area. This secret hideaway is conducive to absolute relaxation.

The second space is located outside, under the tent in the middle of our Mediterranean garden. Here, you’ll experience the full power of nature.

Face and body care
Keeping in line with Relais & Châteaux’s commitment to local development, Marie works exclusively with CHO Nature and Laboratoire du Gattilier products. These two family businesses are guided by a common passion to harness the power of plants for the body and mind.

You’ll benefit from BIO & organic treatments composed of 100% active ingredients. We recommend our signature « Face of Plenitude » treatment for your feet and body.

The alliance of a traditional massage and acupressure on the reflex zones of your feet will facilitate the energy circulation in your body.  Make your trip to our hotel about unwinding and letting go…

Beauty treatments
As a 5-star hotel, we’re dedicated to meeting all your beauty needs so you can feel good about yourself and continue your rituals while on vacation. In our Wellness Area, you can get a manicure or pedicure, a wax, or even an eyelash extension. We also work with barbers, stylists, and makeup artists who can come directly to your room.

The Mediterranean horizon
This place is made magical by its idyllic, almost secret location just a 10-minute walk from the hustle and bustle of Juan-Les-Pins.

Nestled between Port Gallice and the small fishing port Le Crouton, invisible from the seaside road, the fine sandy beach of the Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel offers an incredible panoramic view of the Esterel Massif.

An iconic place
There are places that have become famous over the years and whose popularity continues to grow… We’re proud to say our beach is one such place.
Few hotels on the French Riviera can boast direct access to the beach.

For decades, people have been flocking to our sun-drenched and smile-inducing beach. Serene in the morning, the beach comes to life during the day to the sound of music and slowly winds down as the sun sets in the distance.

First-class service
Haven’t met Ludo yet? Our beach manager is famous for his positive attitude and professionalism! He and his team help you get installed and cater to your wellbeing throughout your entire stay.

At the Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel, we understand that just being in a paradisiacal setting is not always enough to please our guests. Our staff takes great care to maintain the reputation of « Les Pêcheurs » beach by personalizing the service of our guests.

The sensory pool
We like our guests to have choices. If you find the sea too cold or salty, simply head over to our heated outdoor infinity pool with soft water. More than a simple pool, you’ll experience different sensations thanks to several waterjet functions making a sense to this strange name.

The use of our sensory pool is exclusively accessible for our hotel’s guests. In the morning, you can take a water aerobics or aquagym class with our head lifeguard and swimming instructor Arthur (reservation required). Try them both to see the difference!

Mediterranean energizes yourself
Get into a vacation state of mind under the golden rays of the French Riviera. Our peaceful bay is perfect for enjoying the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. Recharge your batteries at the Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel while indulging in water sports such as jet-skiing, water aerobics, paddle boarding, and more.
