Fontenille Menorca is a unique concept on the island : a new double-headed eagle, two experiences in two separate fincas which offer, thanks to the many interactions between both hotels and their proximity, a large pallet of opportunities for guests staying in both hotels.

Santa Ponsa Finca

With an elaborate watering system and impressive cisterns, Santa Ponsa’s gardens resemble those of the Arabian Nights. Architecturally, although Menorcan elements prevail, Spanish and Moor influences are everywhere : domes, masharbiyya, miniature ziggurat are reminicent of the splendour of what was once a Princely House.
ROOMS
The hotel offers 21 rooms and suites which are located in the main house, former barns and separate buildings in the gardens. The decoration of the house reflects the owner’s penchant for travel at the time : colonial architecture, rattan furniture and a beautiful conservatory.
WELLNESS AND SPA
Santa Ponsa is totally dedicated to wellness and finding a healthy balance. Every morning, fresh fruit is picked and you’ll enjoy freshly squeezed juice.
The spa, slow-food cuisine, gardens, walks, outdoors sports, wildlife , the outside swimming pool in the historic cistern : all the elements are gathered for you to appreciate the natural and historical heritage of Menorca.
Our amazing SPA (opening in 2020) is located in the inside of the majestic 18th century cisterns : covered lap pool, aquatic trail, hammam, sauna, Nordic baths, massage rooms : everything focuses on energy regenerating.
Organic products are used, most of which come from our own production, such as our essential oils which are extracted from our very own aromatic plants. Our Spa clients will have access to a private terrace on the top of the cistern, where they can relax and enjoy the scenic views.
Torre Vella Finca
Torre Vella gets its name from an old fortified tour. It is most likely one of the best examples of a classic Menorcan finca : the entire building is listed. The big building with white walls is arranged around a courtyard. Its farm building stretches out over 200ha, right up to the sea.
Nested at the bottom of the valley, surrounded by olive trees, Torre Vella was thought out as a simple bohemian retreat : lunch under the green oaks, outside massage tables, drinks and candlelight dinners at the top of the cliffs overlooking the sea.
The décor is extremely sleek : white vails, driftwood, local stone, weavings : a genuinely bohemian chic spirit.
ROOMS
The hotel offers 17 rooms and suites located in the main finca, former barns and outbuildings. The rooms are very spacious, most of them have large terraces and some even private pools.
RESTAURANT
The Torre Vella restaurant is only open to the guests of both our hotels. The dishes are mainly vegetarian and healthy. The smaller menu with salads and planchas changes everyday according to the supplies.
WELLNESS AND SPA
Torre Vella is the perfect retreat for nature lovers : amongst several hectars of olive trees and medicinal plants, it is the ideal place to unwind.
A complete fitness program with an outside training circuit will lead you to the cliffs and yoga platforms overlooking the sea. Not far from the pool, beneath the hundred-year-old green oaks, a massage will help you recover from your session.
Our exceptional SPA is located in Santa Ponsa and is open to non hotel clients. Our amazing Spa is located in the inside of the majestic 18th century cisterns : covered lap pool, aquatic trail, hammam, sauna, Nordic baths, massage rooms, all focusing on energy regenerating.

AGRICULTURE
20ha of vines, 20 ha of aromatic plants (Rosemary, Curry Plant), hundreds of orange, lemon, pomegranate and olive trees, an organic permaculture vegetable garden, a vinification cellar, an essential oils distillery, an oil mill, a honey house : farming in Fontenille Menorca is an undeniable fact of everyday life and has been employing twenty agricultural workers and gardeners since 3 years.
To us, agrotourism isn’t a marketing strategy, it’s a way of life. We place agriculture, naturalness, traceability, connection to mother earth at the centre of our concerns – as we already do at the Domaine de Fontenille, in Provence and soon in the west of Paris.
The knowledge of plant life and flowering cycles, pressing grapes, making our own wine and juice, the use of own oil in all our restaurants: that’s what the farming Island of Menorca is made of. Reconnect with time, mother earth and your inner self.
