Hertelendy is a luxury castle for nature lovers, gourmands, romantics, hunters, golfers, horse lovers – but above all for connoisseurs with taste who appreciates the good things of life. The style of Austro-Hungarian empire in combination with an three-years of renovation makes the rooms and suites very charming.

Every suite comes with air conditioning, LCD-TV set, free cabel internet, a refreshment centerwith free soft drinks and much more. The love of detail is mirrored in the whole castle. The artistic arrangements of all rooms and suites creates a unique atmosphere.

Waterstands made out of valuable marble in the bathrooms and furniture out of precious woods, elegant carpets in the living area, heatable tile stoves in the suites and finest linen form a perfect composition. Simply an ideal luxury hideaway in the middle of the Transdanubian plains.

Because there are only 14 rooms and suites in the castle each guest can enjoy the personal and courteous service, of which the Hertelendy-team is famous for. All of this makes this luxurious hideaway a unique jewel, where also long-term stays (on demand) can be enjoyed.

Hertelendy Kastély can be hired privately for weddings, family holidays, golfing holidays, business congresses or hunting holidays up to 40 people sharing 20 rooms – 14 rooms in the castle and 6 apartments in the Hunter’s Lodge.

HUNTERS LODGE
Imagine that you live in an own apartment which has not only separated dining-, living- and sleeping areas, but has an own kitchen and garden as well.

Steping out from the 44 sqm Apartment Deluxe or from the 28 sqm double bed Apartment the countless Fuji-apple trees unfolded before you, in the shade of them the sunset is an unforgettable experience. Inspired by luxurious and tweedy charme it is the perfect scenerey for your holiday!

Get up, open the door and breath in deeply, without being bothered by anyone else. This is only happening at our Hunting Lodge Apartments. However, you are not left on your own, because only a stone’s throw away is the main building, where you can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner in the Restaurant Albizzia.

Of course, you can – on demand – use the functioning kitchen that belongs to your apartment, but in case you do that, you pass on the creations of kitchen artist Stefan Gebhardt.

In any case, tha Hunting Lodge Apartments are perfect for guests who search for peace or come with their pets, because here, dogs are allowed. Naturally our apartments come with a LCD flat screen, free internet access, direct election telephone and a refreshment center with free soft drinks.

HERTELENDY SUITE
The signature suite of the Hertelendy castle is a real piece of jewellery. It awaits you with extraordinary comfort. You don’t live, you reside in our castle on unbelievably luxurious 65 sqm in the middle of a 350 hectar huge area.

An own grand living room and an extraordinary marble bathroom create an additional stately feeling. In former times, the earl and the countess of Hertelendy resided here, and now it is your home for a few days.

It is equipped with the finest luxurious pieces of furniture, two electrically immersible LCD flat screens, a direct telephone connection, free cable internet, and –on demand- a fax or an own printer.

A refreshment center with free soft drinks and a CD and DVD player are also part of the amenities. In addition, the Hertelendy Suite can be joined to other rooms to make it a roomy, luxurious apartment with up to 2 seperated bedrooms.

JUNIOR SUITE
In one of our four luxurious Junior Suites you can experience very special moments. Equipped with first-class Italian antiques they offer plenty of space. Our Junior Suites come with an electronically immersible LCD TV set in front of the bed, a small davenport, a comfortable couch, a refreshment center with free soft drinks and free cable and wireless internet.

The convenient salon invites to relax and enjoy the ambiance: Probably with a bottle of champagne, which we are happy to serve with style in the room. A big and luxurious marble bathroom lets you experience spa-atmosphere already in your room.

WELLNESS
Only a few know about the art of relaxing. The Asians say e.g. that health, beauty and a general well being can only be reached, when one is in balance with nature. Also the antique Romans found it very important to have high quality drinking water and other prevention methods like diets or a kind of work-life-balance. Nowadays this philosophy is missed out often.

In Hertelendy Kastély you experience the unique feeling of well-being and vitality. From our own thermal spring arises 62 degrees hot water from a reservoir which is about 1000 meters deep under the castle.

KELO SAUNA
The Finns are the inventors of the sauna and they use it regularly to purify their body, to get well and to prevent colds. We took that as an inspiration to import an original Kelo sauna directly from Lapland.

A Kelo sauna stands for traditional Finn relaxation and is made out of Kelo pine tree wood. The Kelo pine is extremely resistant to weather conditions, which doesn’t make it necessary to additionally dam it or treat it with preservatives.

To take a sauna in a Kelo sauna is pure nature. An essential part of the bathing procedure in the sauna ist he Löyly, the water steam, which is created when infusing the water on the hot oven stones.

Enjoy this special sauna experience in our free standing sauna house equipped with an original Finnish thermal tube bath and let yourself go in the cosy warmth which our –lighted by hand- wooden stove creates.

Get cool after the sauna in our small natural pond which is naturally filled with thermal water. A hot water pool, which is also located directly next to the sauna, is supplementing the sauna experience.

FITNESS
A jogging track without even having to leave the estate? On an area that is 300 hectare big this is absolutely no problem. However, you don’t have to go running. A grand fitness room awaits you: There you can train your body. Modern equipment from ergometers over electronically controlled treadmills to cross trainers are your companions on this journey.

And everything can be done out in fresh air, because our fitness center is a free standing building. No stuffy air in narrow rooms. The fitness area is directly next to the thermal pool, which invites you – after a successful training – to jump into the fresh cold water. Finest fitness in our castle: That is luxury!

ST. BARTH BEAUTY
Exclusive products from Linge St. Barth – just for you in Hertelendy castle. The laboratory of Ligne St. Barth is situated on the island St. Barthélemy, one of the most beautiful islands of the Caribbean. The owners of the enterprise are members of the family Brin and have French ancestors, who went to the island in 17th century to live there.

With their treasure of experiences, they combine Caribbean traditions with modern technology in a perfect and efficient manner. The products of Ligne St. Barth can be bought in the whole world and they are appreciated really much by specialists because of their outstanding quality and inventiveness.

The products for skin are exclusevily produced on St. Barthélemy. They operate with the power of plants, fruits and flowers of the Caribbean. Their fluid texture makes them move into the skin easily. All products of St. Barth answer the international standards of cosmetic industry.

They do not contain any p-aminobenzoic acid, are not tested on animals and are dermatologically tested. Ligne St. Barth was the first to produce sunscreen with annatto. The company is supplied with annatto seeds by one of the last functioning Caribbean tribes on the island.

HORSE RIDING
You love to explore a the countryside on the back of a horse? A very special hobby for special people! We offer everything that horse-lovers might need.

Our professional riding instructors are happy to explain you everything that is of importance, so you can enjoy happy hours on the back of a horse. We offer the possibility of riding one of our 14 Freiberger horses. The Freiberger are special and precious horses and have their origins in Switzerland.

This race can be traced till the 15th century. Because of a strong character and a strong binding to humans, the Freiberger horses are perfect family horses. They are very multifaceted and eager to learn, which makes them the ideal leisure horsesd. Ride over the rolling hills of Somogy and enjoy the beautiful and jaunty hours.

OLYMPIC SKEET
You always wanted to try clay pigeons or skeet shooting? It doesn’t matter if it as a training for hunting or as a sport: it is always worth a try. In our luxury hideaway we also thought about including that activity.

The skeet or rather clay pigeons firing range is fit for tournaments and one of the most modern in Hungary. Of course you enjoy perfect service and superb support. Also our professional shooting trainer lets you really hit the clay pigeons. Try it out!

HUNTING
One of the aristocratic pleasures, which we can offer is naturally: chase! Close to the castle are fabulous hunting conditions. In world known districts like Lábod and Kaszó is a rich wildlife stock: red deer, doe, wild pigs, oxes, pheasants and snipes.

TENNIS
Play tennis like a pro. Which hobby tennis player doesn’t dream of it? Well, we cannot guarantee that you will play like Rafael Nadal or Kim Clijsters at the end of your stay, but we can guarantee, that you play on original US Open pad.

Let’s see what effect that has. Train frequently and it will feel as if you are playing on the US Open. It doesn’t matter how the weather conditions are. If you want, you can play the whole year on our court.

HOT AIR BALLOON
The driving with a hot-air balloon is one of the biggest adventures there are. You float calmly in a height of 150 to 2000 m over the beautiful landscape: every small sound that comes from under the cage can be heard clearly.

Ballooning is possible the whole year, because each of the four seasons has its own charme. Your balloon ride will float over glittering snow, blooming spring meadows, directly into the summer evening- or morning sky or over colourful autumn forests.

It can be about relaxation, business meetings or romantic proposal, the flying by plane makes every occasions special and unforgettable. We organise you a fast and convenient flights from any airport of Middle- and West-Europe directly to the Hertelendy Kastély.

With different types of aircrafts we can transport 1 – 12 people at the same time. In the countries who belong to the Schengen – zone we can fly directly between the destination and the Hertelendy Kastély without having any customs.
