LOCATION
Termini is a part of Sorrento, a picturesque village wedged between the two coasts, Sorrento and Amalfi, In the heart of the protected area of Punta Campanella, renowned for its crystal clear sea that every year, without fail, is awarded its well-deserved recognition of the Blue Flag.

Relais Blu is a perfect area to discover the natural beauty of the area. Through a network of paths and roads linking the various villages of the Sorrento Peninsula, and to visit the nearby islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida.

For a relaxing day at the beach and less than ten minutes away from the Relais Blu you will find the two beaches of Nerano and the Romantic Garden.

THE HISTORY
The passion for hospitality is in the Acampora blood. For four generations the Acampora philosophy is to provide consistently excellent service with politeness and discretion, allowing guests to feel at home, amongst friends.

It was back in 1912 that newlyweds, Antonietta e Vincenzo Acampora decided to dedicate their lives to something that would be much more than a job, it would become a lifestyle.

They set out to share the beauty of the flavours, fragrances and beloved land with their visitors. It is with this spirit and dedication that in 2006 a dream called Relais Blu was born.

Each room type has unique feature that makes it special: the Double Superior rooms have large windows overlooking the sea, the Double Deluxe rooms have a balcony or garden overlooking the sea, the Specials Rooms are the most striking as here you can enjoy the most breathtaking view and all are with balcony or a garden overlooking the sea.

SPECIAL SEA VIEW
All slightly different from each other, one offering a separate double bath tub overlooking the sea, with a view of Capri in a glazed corner, or with the double bed perfectly positioned in front of the spectacular panoramic window. These rooms are large and bright and are for people that want the best of the best.

DOUBLE DELUXE SEA VIEW
The Double Deluxe rooms are ideal for those who wish to enjoy the sun and the scent of the coast from a private balcony or garden.

RESTAURANT
Created from the great passion of the owner’s love of food, the cuisine of Relais Blu combines traditional and contemporary dishes. These essential perfect plates are served with wine chosen from among over a thousand Italian and international labels of the cellar.

A great selection of spirits and Cuban cigars are also available. The restaurant is open daily for lunch from 12.00 to 14.30 and dinner from 19.00 to 22.30. External customers are also welcome.

The Restaurant was born from the love for gastronomic culture of the Mediterranean by its owner, Salvatore Acampora. His passion for traditional cuisine and openness to international dishes has allowed the kitchen of Relais Blu to achieve great success.

The vast cellar, the excellent quality of ingredients combined with creativity and elegance in the kitchen, has gained Relais Blu many awards in the most prestigious food guides.

THE CHEF 
Art and gastronomy lover, he began his early training by working in some of the most renowned restaurants in Italy. In 2020 he became the Chef of Relais Blu. The underlying philosophy of his work is combining local products, enhancing the taste with innovative cooking techniques but never forgetting the true tradition.

It is for this reason that the majority of the ingredients used in our dishes are grown directly in our garden or we buy them from local supplies within the two coasts.

GAGA’ COCKTAIL & LOUNGE BAR
An aperitif on our terrace: a must at Relais Blu. There are two essential ingredients for a perfect aperitif: The stunning backdrop of the sun disappearing slowly into the sea of Sorrento, and a signature cocktail that is expertly mixed and accompanied by four sensational finger.

Between our speciality cocktails are the must try jam based cocktails and the intriguing smoked Negroni. Every day, on the beautiful terraces of the hotel, you can enjoy a drink with the most delicious dishes of the Mediterranean tradition from our “Small Kitchen”, offering a wide selection of salads and sandwiches.

PRIVATE CHEF
From November to March, during the closure of the hotel and under supervision of the director, Antonino Acampora and Chef Alberto Annarumma, Relais Blu is available for consulting and private catering in Italy and abroad.

WEDDINGS IN SORRENTO
With its phenomenal view and elegant style, Relais Blu is worthy of its prize as one of the most popular locations for weddings and special events on the Coast.

Thanks to the professional staff, coordinated by the director Antonino Acampora, Relais Blu is able to organise any type of ceremony, religious or civil, ensuring that every little detail of your special day becomes a reality.

The Gourmet restaurant at Relais Blu will make sure that your chosen menu is a combination of colours, flavours and scents of the very best Mediterrean produce. For spouses travelling from abroad, an international menu can also be tailored to suit your individual requirements.

For intimate events of 15 to 60 people, Relais Blu can reserve one of ours lovely terraces for exclusive use. Should your guest numbers range from 60 – 150 or perhaps you wish to celebrate your wedding in complete privacy, then the entire hotel, including the rooms must be reserved.

Having the whole of Relais Blu in complete exclusivity will guarantee a unique experience in one of the most picturesque villas on the coast making your special day truly memorable for everyone involved.

SWIMMING POOL
A mesmerising infinity pool overlooking Capri. It is easy to confuse the blue water of the pool with the sea or the sky as the continuous flow of the water blends into the horizon. The infinity pool and the beautiful terrace overlooking the Gulf of Naples offers the guests of Relais Blu an unforgettable and wonderful experience.

EXPERIENCE
Relais Blu is ideally located to access the main historical, famous and picturesque sites of the region. Our concierge are able to organise private excursions, boat trips and even car rental. To see the coast in style and experience the true Dolce Vita era, we can even arrange an Alfa Romeo Spider or Juliet.

SORRENTO AND THE ISLANDS
SORRENTO is without doubt the most famous coastal town of all. Many famous poets such as Torquato Tasso, writers, films and love songs have been created thanks to the charm of this beautiful town.

We highly recommend walking through the narrow local streets of Sorrento where in additions to shopping for local crafts, you will also be able to try the ice cream and of course the world famous limoncello! Lunch in Marina Grande is a must!

Some of the most famous scenes of the hit 1950’s movie made by Vittorio de Sica and starring Sophia Loren “Bread, love and…” were filmed here. This quirky, traditional fishing marina is sure to be one of your most favourite parts of the town. Sorrento is approximately a 20 minutes drive from the Relais Blu.

CAPRI is the most famous island in the Gulf of Naples and is commonly known as the island of dreams. We suggest having an aperitif in the square, taking a walk along the shopping street of Via Camerelle and then maybe stop for lunch in a one of the restaurants close to the pier.

For keen walkers, we highly recommend that you take the cable car and climb up to Mount Solaro, which offers the most beautiful and panoramic view of Capri. From Relais Blu it is possible to reach Capri with:

• Connection via public ferry service leaving from the port of Sorrento (about 20 minutes drive from the Relais Blu). The journey is about 30 minutes and the connections are frequent from morning until late afternoon.
• Group Excursion (with approx. 70 people): pick up from the hotel at approximately 8:30 am in the morning, you will have a tour of the island and about 5 hours free time to explore Capri. You will return to the hotel in the afternoon.
• Excursion shared, (with approx. 10 people) in a typical Gozzo Sorrentino. You will be picked up from the hotel between the hours of 9:30 and 10:00 and then be accompanied to the port of Sorrento before boarding your boat. Some stops will take place in the crystal clear seas around the island and then you will have approximately 4 hours free time to explore Capri. This excursion includes snacks and drinks on board. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
• Excursion with private boat (pick up time to be decided): we recommend the pickup to be at 10.00am from our hotel. You will be accompanied to the port of Massa Lubrense before boarding your private boat, discovering the famous caves and ravines around the island of Capri. With relaxing swim stops in the famous caves and around the Island, this will be the perfect opportunity to see the island at your own pace. Naturally, you will also have free time on the island before returning to the hotel later that afternoon.

ISCHIA is the largest island in the Bay of Naples and is famous for being a popular spa resort for the Romans. This beautiful island has always been adored for its natural beauty and lush surroundings. From Relais Blu you can reach Ischia by:

• Connection by public ferry. This speedy service runs twice a day, with one departure from Sorrento in the morning and one from Ischia in the afternoon.
• With a private transfer and pick up from the hotel, plus the ferry time, the total journey time to Ischia is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

GEMS OF THE AMALFI COAST
POSITANO is the pearl of the Amalfi Coast. The typical white house’s dotting the hillside and sloping into the sea, its quirky narrow streets, the boutiques of the famous Positano fashion and its beautiful beaches, make this town a tourist destination not to be missed.

Positano is about a 45 minute drive from Relais Blu and is easily accessible by car or for those who wish to have fun, it is great on a scooter too!

Our concierge can also organise excursions by private boat, which include; pick up from the hotel, sailing along the coast with stops for a refreshing swim and free time to explore this quaint Mediterranean village. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

An evening in Positano will prove to be a very fun and romantic experience Have a drink on the beach and then dine in one of the typical restaurants on the sea. For those of you wishing to make the most of your evening in Positano, there are also several clubs to visit too.

AMALFI is an ancient Maritime Republic and offers magnificent examples of medieval architecture, including the famous St. Andrew’s Cathedral, with the Cloister of Paradise.

Definitely worth visiting is the Paper Museum in the Valley of the Ferriere, where you can discover the history of the famous Charter Wadding of Amalfi. Amalfi is about 1 hour and 20 minutes from the Relais Blu and is accessible by car.

You can also reach Amalfi with a group excursion. This is available 3 times a week in the summer months and includes: pick up at the hotel (about 8:30 am) and two stops in the towns of Amalfi and Positano before returning in the afternoon at the hotel.

RAVELLO is a place with undeniable charm and has inspired many great legacies, such as the great German composer Wagner.

The “Belvedere Infinity” in Villa Cimbrone, the gardens of Villa Rufolo, the Ravello Festival, (the well renowned festival of symphonic music and dance) are some of the many excellent reasons to visit this magificent town. Ravello is about 1 hour and 30 minutes’ from Relais Blu and is accessible by car.

NAPLES, POMPEII AND HERCULANEUM
The ancient history of NAPLES is spectacular from its churches, the palace and the remarkable underground that runs beneath the city; you will sure to be mesmerised by this great city.

The Cathedral, The Angevin, The San Severo Chapel with the extraordinary Veiled Christ, San Gregorio Armeno, Piazza Del Jesus, are just some of the famous landmarks that make it one of the most unique cities in the world.

A must stop in one of the restaurants that still make the real Neapolitan pizza, followed by agood espresso in one of the bars in the centre, accompanied perhaps with a classic puff pastry or a rum baba. From Relais Blu you can reach Naples with:

• Private car, in about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
• Hydrofoil from the port of Sorrento, in 40 minutes will take you directly next to the historic center.
• Train (Circumvesuviana), leaving every 30 minutes from Sorrento. The journey time to downtown Naples centre is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

POMPEII is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. When Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79AD, this Roman city was completely covered in ash and has been suspended in time ever since.

A visit to the archaeological excavations of Pompeii is a truly unique experience. Witness the domes with their frescoes, the shops,the splendid mosaics and the casts of the victims of the eruption. Pompeii is a wonderful and mysterioussite not to be missed. Pompeii can be reached by car in about 45 minutes from the Relais Blu.

• By train, the Circumvesuviana line, trains leave every half hour from Sorrento station and takes 30 mins to Pompeii.
• We can organise private drive who will accompany you to Pompeii and if you wish, supply you with a private archaeological guide.

HERCULANEUM is the perfect addition to the archaeological sister site of Pompeii. Despite only being partly excavated, this ancient city offers perfectdetail. You will witness perfectly preserved shops, businesses and houses, allowing you to completely understand the habits and customs of the men of the first century.

One of the main interests is the Villa of the Papyri, which houses a library in the form of papyrus that is invaluable and provides key information to the culture of that time.

A few steps from the excavations and definitely worth visiting is the MAV, a centre of culture and technology applied to cultural heritage and communication technology.

Through extraordinary and faithful reconstructions, you can take a virtual plunge back in time to discover the towns of Herculaneum and Pompeii just before the eruption of Vesuvius. Herculaneum is accessible by car and is about 55 minutes from the Relais Blu:

• By train, the local Circumvesuviana line, trains leave every half hour from Sorrento station, it takes about 40 minutes.
• We can organise private drive who will accompany you to Herculaneum and if you wish, supply you with a private archaeological guide.

WINE TOURISM
The Sorrento Peninsula is rich in gastronomic traditions, typical products like the Provolone del Monaco, lemons, walnuts of Sorrento, the mozzarella are just some of the famous delicacies produced in this region.

We can help organise visits and tastings at local companies, such as farm Schiazzano, which is just 10 minutes from the Relais.

The young manager, will pick you up at the hotel and will take you to visit the dairy, the lemon and wine cellar, giving you an opportunity to taste local products whist welcoming you like family. On request it is possible to conclude the tour with a demonstration lesson on how to make pizza and tastings.

Relais Blu can also organises cooking courses on request. These are based on typical dishes of the local region and will range from the preparation and cooking of appetisers to desserts.

The cost is €100.00 per person. This includes the cooking class, tasting the cooked dishes, one bottle of water and ½ of local wine per person. Several restaurants in the area offering the traditional Neapolitan cuisine provide a free shuttle service for guests at the Relais Blu.

TREKKING
For lovers of nature, Relais Blu suggests some truly memorable paths. From the square in Termini, just minutes from the hotel, a small road leading to a country path, you will reach the fourteenth century Minerva Tower of Punta Campanella.

This is an extreme offshoot of the Sorrento peninsula reaching out to Capri and from this height you can admire a breathtaking view, with the Bay of Jeranto on the left and the Gulf of Naples on the right.

For many years JERANTO BAY has been under the tutelage of the FAI, Italian Environment Fund. It is accessed by a path that starts from the village of Nerano, not far from Termini.

The first part of the trail is fairly level and easy, the second part of the path is more steep however, it will lead you to a small bay with a sandy beach where you can swim in crystal clear water.

The PATH OF THE GODS is perhaps the most famous walk of the Amalfi coast. Begin from Bomerano and up to Montepertuso, hamlet of Positano. You can also get there by car, heading up to Montepertuso and then walking along the stretch of the path to Praiano, from there you can take the bus back to Positano.

For keen walking and hiking lovers the VALLEY OF THE FERRIERE, near Amalfi is a must. It is a nature reserve, for its special microclimate and a home for some of the most unique plant species in the world.

The walk is made even more impressive by the rivers, the waterfalls and the remains of the old paper mills that produced the valuable paper of Amalfi.

BEACHES
There are several private beaches in the vicinity of the Relais Blu, open from May to October. Capitan Cook is a private beach which can be reached via a steep narrow road. The beach also has a shuttle service with a direct pick up from the Relais Blu available to the guests.

The beach is equipped with sun beds, umbrellas and even a restaurant that serves excellent seafood. The beach Baia delle Sirene is about 5 minutes’ drive from Relais Blu. This is a pebbly beach which has a beautiful solarium and a fully equipped bar.

The private beach Sassi offers casual-chic surroundings in the enchanting bay of Nerano. It can be reached by car in about 15 minutes from the Relais Blu, and offers guests a large parking lot, plus solarium, snack bar and restaurant.
