Created in honor of the patron saint of music and poetry, the Saint Cecilia Hotel Austin takes inspiration from the great era of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s when a revolution of rock and roll and beat poetry overran the hallowed halls of established convention. Each of the five suites, six poolside bungalows, and three studios embodies an equal love for the elegance of old-world luxury and the irreverence of our muses – The Stones, Bill Burroughs, Anne Sexton, Hunter S. Thompson among them.
The secluded property and lush grounds are open only to hotel guests, thereby offering a unique sense of privacy situated steps away from the heart of South Austin.
Hotel Saint Cecilia was originally built in 1888 as the Miller-Crockett house, and is among the five remaining Victorian homes of twelve originally built along this stretch of the Colorado River.
The home was occupied by a descendant of Davy Crockett, Leslie Crockett, and his wife Mary Ann Miller for over 60 years before it was converted into a Bed & Breakfast in the mid-nineties. Bunkhouse renovated and reopened the property as Hotel Saint Cecilia in 2008.
The Hotel Saint Cecilia sits in the historic Travis Heights neighborhood one block from the South Congress district, home to iconic live music venue the Continental Club and other hubs of Austin culinary, entertainment and shopping culture.
GARDEN SUITES
The six new Garden Suites are a new take on our beloved Poolside Bungalows. Tucked away on the west side of the grounds, each suite features a spacious bedroom with a King Hästens mattress, updated spa mini bar, lounge complete with a sectional and dining table, and a private outdoor patio.
Guests will find cause to love each for their unique blend of classic and modern design elements in the signature Saint Cecilia style.
SUITE FOUR
One of the hotel’s grandest accommodations, Suite Four has a living room, writing space and large bedroom with King Hästens bed. Among the suite’s many assets includes a seating area and porch.
SUITE FIVE
Tucked behind the garden bordering the hotel lounge, Suite Five has a large bedroom with King Hästens bed, sitting area and media room. The suite also offers a spacious, private screened outdoor porch and lounge area, and is home to an upright piano for those occasions when the muse calls.
POOLSIDE BUNGALOWS
Each of our six Poolside Bungalows offers a spacious bedroom with King Hästens bed, living area and outdoor seating. Guests will find cause to love each for its unique individual features.
LOUNGE
The Saint Cecilia lounge lives at the center of the property and provides both indoor and outdoor seating exclusively for hotel guests and private club members.
In order to preserve the intimacy and privacy of the hotel, the hotel maintains stringent hosting guidelines. Guests wishing to host non-guests in the lounge may do so in very limited numbers and only with reservations made in advance at the Front Desk.
AMENITIES
Perhaps the Saint Cecilia’s most significant offering is an exquisite night’s sleep on a handmade organic bed made by Hästens, Sweden’s most revered bedding company.
Bathrooms are outfitted with custom kimono bathrobes and Grown Alchemist bath products. The hotel offers a variety of other amenities and services to inspire and delight.
LENDING LIBRARY
All rooms and suites also offer Rega turntables and Geneva sound systems, and guests are invited to borrow from the hotel’s lending library of vintage LPs as well as a collection of rock biographies and poetry anthologies from our favorite artists.
IN ROOM MINI BAR
Each room and suite comes equipped with a spa minibar full of Haoma body care products, as well as a food and beverage minibar stocked with an attentively curated assortment of local and European products.

LOBBY
The hotel lobby is located next to the lounge at the center of the property, and offers a variety of guest amenities and opportunities. This building has an accessible path of travel to the entrance.
The lobby is also home to the Saint Cecilia’s retail store, which carries a selection of items from travel necessities to souvenirs, including products by Haoma and D.S. & Durga, and a variety of local and international craftspeople. Some items are available exclusively in the lobby store, like our custom indigo Robe and Eloi Silk Scarf.
POOL & ARBOR
Saint Cecilia’s crowning jewel is its 50-foot heated lap pool which is open to guests twenty-four hours a day. The Saint Cecilia also offers seated poolside dining under the arbor for breakfast and light fare.
Kids under the age of 13 are allowed to use the pool from 10 am – 2 pm. All other hours are adult swim only. Dogs are not permitted in the pool area.
TERRACE
Located above the lounge, the covered terrace is perfect for an intimate meal, cocktail party or business meeting of 6 to 20 guests. This space offers a city view and overlooks The Saint Cecilia’s stunning grounds.
PRIVATE DINING
Private Dinners and brunches for groups of 6 to 40 can be served by our talented culinary team at Hotel Saint Cecilia. The Terrace Private Dining hosts groups up to 20, and the Piazza or Private Yard of Suite 4 hosts groups up to 40. For private dining over 40 guests, a hotel buyout is required, and can host up to 85 guests.
WEDDINGS
Suites 1, 2 and 4 can accommodate weddings up to 40 guests for both ceremony and reception, and are handled completely in house by our talented event staff. Suites 1 and 4 offer the perfect location for pre-wedding photos and bridal parties getting ready.
For weddings over 40 guests, a property buyout is required. The property can host up to 85 guests with a hotel buyout. For weddings over 40 guests, use of one of our Exclusive Caterers is required.
Wedding buyouts are required to have a planner, who will be the primary point of contact for the hotel. All weddings are required to have a rain plan, in the case of inclement weather.
