The Val la Reine is an estate with a long history. In 1652, Thibault MOULIN, a ship’s captain and Honfleur resident began the long job of joining together many pieces of land around the village of Equemauville, thus creating the estate of the Val la Reine, of which he became the owner.
In 1727, he built the Manor. His son, Olivier Moulin, a merchant-trader and alderman of the government of Honfleur would inherit it and continue the expansion of the estate. The Warrain family became the owners of the Val la Reine in 1888 until 2000, the year when Michel Serrault and his wife acquired it and lived there for about ten years.
Heloise and Olivier Moncelet took over and restored this elegant Estate in 2010, with the intention of creating luxurious guest rooms. The main manor house remains their family home but the surrounding buildings are open for their guests. In 2016 Heloise and Olivier entrust the management of their estate to Louise and Sukru, a young couple who also work in the hotel trade.

THE BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served from 9:00am to 10.30am in the Factory’s breakfast room for a home-made breakfast. On the ground floor, the large dining room welcome you each morning to our homemade breakfast made on the menu you can enjoy pastries, breads, fresh fruit juices, jams and artisanal yoghurts; for the gourmets, there are cakes and crêpes!
A selection of Damman teas , coffee , chocolate and cappuccino is at your disposal …. Everything to get your day off to a great start. A welcoming open fire greets our guests in the colder weather.
COOKING LESSONS
In a warm and friendly atmosphere (with the family or friends) discover various seasonal recipes during one of the cooking lessons propose by Jérôme Billochon, a renowned pastry chef from Honfleur. The cooking classes are interactive and take place in the kitchen of the Clos de Grâce.
“The Factory” has a large kitchen which is fully equipped with the latest high tech equipment. The lesson last around 2 hours, after which you can sample the dishes prepared. Enjoy an exceptional moment.
LA PLANCHE DU CLOS
We have selected local cheese and Italian cold meats that you can enjoy during your stay at the Clos. The selection goes with a chosen bottle of red. Ideal for a cosy and relaxed dinner.
THE SWIMMING POOL
Le Clos de Grace enjoys all year round a super indoor swimming pool heated at 29°C. Large bay windows offer a superb view of the Normandy countryside.
During the summer, you can take your sun loungers on to the terrace and soak up the Normandy sunshine. The 15m x 6m pool is treated using a salt water system. The swimming pool is open from 09.00 am to 20.00 pm.
MASSAGE AND HAMMAM
Upstairs, in subdued lighting a hammam scented with essentiel oils and a massage room await you. Between these there is a quiet room with loungers where you can sit and relax looking out of a bay window onto an orchard and the countryside. To quench your thirst we offer you tea-making facilities so you can choose the brew of your choice to make your relaxation complete.
FITNESS CENTER
A calm place to come and workout…In the former artist’s studio, the gym is at the disposal of our guests. A gym available for your use, where you can exercise on equipment such a rowing machine, an exercise bike, an cross-trainer, or simply a multifunction bench with weights. Large bay windows invite the surrounding landscapes indoors creating a relaxing, luxurious and motivating workout environment.
