The story of Stikliai hotel is a tale of ancient beauty, continual innovation and a single-minded dedication to the highest standards. Thirty years ago three young dreamers wandered along dilapidated Stikliai street, looking at the gloomy buildings with dark windows – and their mind was picturing breathtaking views.

Instead of broken tiles and mouldy walls they saw a beautiful restaurant with white tablecloths and ringing wine glasses. Instead of tiny dark apartments they saw a fancy hotel with a beautiful inner yard. They smiled at each other and naively believed their beautiful dreams could come true.

And the most beautiful thing is that the legend of Stikliai, born in the ruins of the Old Town, has actually become a reality. The first step towards the dream was called „Cooperative No.2“. It was a public catering company established by Anna, Aleksandras and Romas – one of the first private companies in Lithuania.

At first it was just a small cafe on Stikliai street, which immediately became famous for delicious ice cream and good coffee. It attracted not only residents of Vilnius, but also guests from other cities and countries too.

A few months later a small European restaurant appeared, and then family decided to open a hotel. They gradually bought apartments around the restaurant, and in a few years a shabby building turned into a beautiful boutique hotel.

An amazing French-style interior was created by famous French designer Anne Toulouse. In 1995 the hotel was honoured with a five-star rating. Today Stikliai buildings are spread around the area of 7000 square meters in the most prestigious part of Vilnius.

Today you could say plenty of beautiful words about Stikliai co-owners Anna and Aleksandras Ciupij and Romas Zakarevicius. They are hospitable, elegant, educated, pleasant, delicate, successful in their business. However, today they are not naive. But if they did not have naivety then, thirty years ago, Stikliai probably would not exist.

ROOMS
Unique French-style interior of the hotel rooms was designed by the famous French interior designer Anne Toulouse. All hotel rooms are different and exclusive.

APARTMENTS
Established at house No. 13 of the Dominikonų st., Stikliai Apartments are available for a long-term rent. It used to be the palace of the Lithuanian noble family the Zavišos, and today this magnificent building is a historical and architectural monument.

Dominikonų St. is one of the oldest and most charming streets in the whole capital. It is dated back to the 14th century: many churches and palaces of Grand Duchy of Lithuania stood here. Noblemen families Pacai, Gureckiai, Sapiegos used to live here, and the 13th building used to belong to Zavišai family.

Zavišai palace was built in the 16th-17th centuries: it is an early Classic style building with Renaissance cellars, now beautifully restored. Since it stands in the heart of the Old Town of Vilnius, it is surrounded by a solid neighborhood: the Presidential Palace, Vilnius University, Embassies, and Residencies.

THE RESTAURANT
Stikliai Restaurant is famous in the country and beyond for its excellent food, high service culture and an impressive and pleasant atmosphere. It is located in a closed garden under the glass dome, full of romantic atmosphere around green plants and candlelight. The restaurant is designed by the famous French interior designer Anne Toulous

The delicate taste of the kitchen is ensured by the fact that the chef uses only the best products, and most of the fresh vegetables, fruits, berries and herbs are grown in a 2.5 hectare farm owned by the Stikliai restaurant in Dubingiai.

PRIVATE VENUE
Since 1987, the team of Stikliai restaurant has gained a great experience in serving the restaurant and outgoing events. For two decades, Stikliai has been serving world leaders visiting the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Lithuania, members of the Royal Families, and celebrities of the world.

Weddings, anniversary celebrations, christenings and other private celebrations are being organized here. This special venue is for your private parties, evenings with close friends, colleagues or family members, as well as for conferences. Professionally equipped room will provide cosiness and exclusivity for any celebration and will hide you from the outside eyes.

STIKLIAI TAVERN
Stikliai Tavern, along with a rich delicious menu and an authentic interior decorated with straw-wicker gardens, clay sculptures, linen tablecloths, is the place that represents our country, culture and traditions at the highest level for local and foreign guests.

Two-storey restaurant in a unique, restored 17th century building. In the basement, concerts of the folk ensemble with games and program are organized. Personal celebrations are also available.

WINTER GARDEN
The guests of the hotel are very fond of the Winter Garden – to have a seat and enjoy the sunlight coming through the glass roof or to have a relaxing evening by a fireplace with a good book in hands.

DREAM BAR
In the heart of Vilnius Old Town, the famous Stikliai Hotel houses a cocktail and cigar bar, where guests can enjoy exclusive drinks and a cigar room. Elegant bar décor, a wide assortment of cocktails and wines, bartender shows, gourmet snacks and hot meals, a pleasant bustle of guests – together create a harmonious, cozy and warm atmosphere for your celebration.

PONIU LAIME
Bakery and café Ponių Laimė (The Ladies’ Delight), the long-lasting legend of the city, may be found just steps away from the hotel and constantly attracts its guests from far away with delightful sweet aromas.

It is a real kingdom of dreamy scents and subtle flavors, a true dessert paradise where you can taste not only French desserts such as Madame de Pompadour or macaron cakes, but also enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.

For your lunch, you will find a variety of daily snacks and meals prepared in the kitchen of our well-known hotel restaurant. You will be offered a wide selection of salads, traditional and popular Lithuanian and international meals.

ORGANIC FARM
The desire to ensure the highest quality to the guests and to use only organic products in the kitchen has led Stikliai to establish a self-managed organic farm. It is settled in the forests of Dubingiai, 50 kilometres away from Vilnius, on a plot of 2.5 hectares.

There you can find long rows of vegetables and greenhouses full of fruits, herbs and edible flowers. Strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, and currants also are grown there: a great variety of home-made jams are offered for breakfast to hotel guests every morning.

There are many hives next to the farm: fresh honey goes directly to Stikliai guests’ table. The hosts are pleased to tell their guests that they took care of everything from the beginning until the moment food was served on the table.

For your health and well-being, our cozy spa features a swimming pool (6.0 x 3.0 m, 1.5 m depth), a sauna and a relaxation area.
