Go straight, take a hairpin bend, a turn ……… Pilastru estate. In the heart of the Gallura countryside between granite and junipers, olive trees, dry stone walls, memories of ancient times and modern times. The wind digs and marks the rocks, gives a sinuous movement that goes well with the swaying of the branches of the well-kept vegetation that surrounds every single house.

The stories of Minnannu echo through the trees. Minnnnu a Gallura term for grandfather, the only custodian of the vast property bequeathed to his daughter Maddalena and her husband Sig Piero. The family’s adventure began in 1980 when they started farming livestock.

Fatigue, sacrifices, commitment and union The impossible mission of 2005: to allow all those who wanted to take a leap of faith, explore and experiment to breathe in the Gallura countryside. It was a family friend, architect Savin Couelle who drew us the layout of all the buildings built around the 1840’s farmhouse after having listened to the stories, the tales and the desires.

Tenuta Pilastru was created to be a refuge from the frenzy of the coast, to be a haven of peace, of sounds, of scents, colours and shades. 15 km separate us from the sea and we’re only a few metres from the archaeological sites of the necropolis of Li Muri and the Tombs of the Giants.

The traditional cuisine of the restaurant with a selection of Gallura traditional dishes, the freshness of the meat reared on the farm and the fresh pasta made in our kitchen is highly valued and appreciated.

We offer guests walks on trails to be followed light of heart and curious of mind, relaxation by the pool, the care and attention of the wellness centre and a culinary experience in the fresh pasta making workshop.

Tenuta Pilastru is a refuge stemming from a family dream, from the attempt to convey emotions, memories and the everyday countryside lifestyle which is so obvious and natural for people like us who have experienced it since childhood and who often, over the years, have heard an affirmation echoing in the distance “one day when you grow up, you won’t come here anymore”.

Yet still we are here, because we believe in the estate and because in it we have found the beginning of a path whose horizon remains to be scrutinised. The Filigheddu family opens up its world to you and, with the help of its historical collaborators, it offers you a new holiday experience.

THE HISTORY – 1840
It was a family friend, architect Savin Couelle who designed the layout of the estate as you know it today, in 2003, inspired by the stories, the tales and the wishes of our family.

Surrounded by nature, shaded by centuries-old trees, they offer privacy, comfort and modernity. The independent lodges are furnished in rustic style, with great attention given to detail to ensure harmony and relaxation.

MAX SUITE
Double rooms, ideal for 2 people, spread over 50 square metres and dedicated to those who are looking for maximum comfort with lots of breathing space. The bedroom, the living room with a sofa and the bathroom have been designed to create a warm, comfortable and inviting environment by paying attention to detail, colours, materials and furniture

The terrace seating area allows you to immerse yourself into the countryside, sipping a glass of our wine. … A good book is also not a bad idea…

DINING
In a separate building, surrounded by the natural granite caverns (Conche), the restaurant offers a wide selection of traditional local Gallura dishes and guarantees the authenticity of the meat and wine, which we produce ourselves, and the freshness of home-made pasta, prepared according to traditional recipes.

Vegetarian cuisine and gluten-free products complete and enhance our offer to satisfy even the most demanding palates . Our restaurant will welcome you with an experience of flavours, aromas and top quality, strictly local ingredients, which tell the story of us, of our land and our traditions.

Special treatment could not be excluded for customers staying at the Estate. Our guests are pampered from the morning with our rich buffet breakfasts and, in the evening, our restaurant will amaze you not only with traditional dishes but also with our à la carte menu. Carefully thought out and defined every day, it offers the tastes and flavours of Italian gastronomy, intertwined with the delicacies of international cuisine from time to time.

Stepping over the threshold is simple … immediate ..We don’t want to impress you, we want to thrill you with the knowledge of our ingredients that are intelligently mixed together to create the typical produce of our workshop.  Gnocchi, ravioli, cucciuleddi, casgiatine, fiuritti, acciuleddi and seadas!

You can try making the Gallura soup: it is made of simply layered bread and cheese but it takes technique and passion to ensure that a few simple ingredients are transformed into the symbolic product of our Gallura. You will not be able to escape learning, cooking or simply taking back home a fragment of your experience at the Estate … … the most fragrant and tasty experience.

Traditional recipes are the basis for the preparation of all our fresh pasta. The simple secrets handed down from generation to generation that value and celebrate local ingredients, those simple ingredients we have at home that take us on a gastronomic journey of discovery.

Traditional aromas and flavours will encourage you into discovering our desserts. Honey, almonds, raisins, orange and lemon peel, egg whites, sugar … the main ingredients for the creation of unique products that bring our taste journey to life.
