La Casa di Rodo is a farmhouse in the countryside at the foothill of Tizzana, an ancient hunting lodge of the Medici family, rulers of Florence. Over the years the manor, along with the surrounding estate, has been redesigned and enlivened and is now completely accessible to the most demanding modern travellers.
In its rural context where many animals still wander freely, the owners, who are sensitive to the Art and Design world, have embedded in the environment numerous works of various artists, integrating them with the beauty of the tuscan landscape.
Tuscany: a region that throughout the centuries has managed to protect and preserve the originality and beauty of a rational living model, which we define today as sustainable. In its wonderful territory, rich in history and full of extreme simplicities too, such as the “savory bread”, born from the hands of the same artists which have been able to produce some of the most unforgettable masterpieces.

Our restaurant’s kitchen offers our own interpretation of all the best tuscan dishes in exclusive settings. We make a careful selection of regional products from small handcraft productions, respecting biological phylosophy and environmental sustainability. Seasonal vegetables come from our organic garden.

The Agriturismo La Casa di Rodo is the perfect location for your special events with his suggestive atmosphere sourrounded by the nature of Carmignana and Tizzana hills. In the refined and exclusive rooms of our restaurant our Guests can taste unique dish with a strong personality and a new execution thanks to our Chef , inspired by the traditional Tuscany’s cuisine.
Our restaurant can host maximum 175 persons:
- inside the restaurant – 60
- under the porticate – 35
- our garden has a zone paved in teak and covered with big umbrellas to host 80 persons.
Moreover, for business meetings and special events we offer the possibility to use our gazebo placed on the poolside, heated in winter, with a capacity of 150 persons.
ACTIVITIES
During your stay at La Casa di Rodo you can relax in the marvelous swimming pool surrounded by well-kept gardens, also gym, sauna, playground and bicycles. In the implementation phase, equipped educational paths. These visits can still be carried out within the company through company farm activities.
La Casa di Rodo is surrounded by an olive grove and a vineyard under construction that will produce 100% Sangiovese wine. Our olive trees are distinguished in Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino and Pendolino for the production of the renowned Tuscan Extra-Virgin olive oil.

In addition, the farm has numerous animals, which roam freely in the large park, such as peacocks, hens, geese, roosters, falabella horses.

La Casa di Rodo is well positioned to offer its guests historical-gastronomic excursions in the surrounding area, to be done in the day, independently or with the help of a guide/guide.
You can easily reach Pistoia, capital of culture 2017 (20 minutes by car), Florence with its important artistic and cultural heritage (30/40 minutes by car), Lucca (45 minutes by car), Pisa (1 hour by car), Siena and San Gimignano (about 1 hour and 20 min. by car), and in an hour you reach the Tuscan coast to spend a relaxing day at the beach.
