TOUR OF PHANG NGA BAY & JAMES BOND ISLAND
Just a 45-minute long-tail boat ride from Aleenta Phuket Resort & Spa is the gorgeous Phang Nga Bay where you’ll find mangrove forests, beautiful lagoons and one of the most iconic landmarks in the area, James Bond Island.
Locally known as Koh Tapu, this limestone island precariously balances on a narrow base for a spectacular sight made entirely by nature. An early departure will allow you to enjoy the peaceful marine surroundings and take photos before other visitors arrive.
After enjoying the island sights, you are whisked away to Hong Island where you can kayak on a stunning emerald green lagoon at your leisure. As you gently paddle around, you’ll witness beautiful birds and sleek, silver fish in their natural habitat.
The tour then continues with a visit to spectacular Lagoon Cave and Diamond Cave on Panak Island before returning you to the resort to enjoy the rest of your day and evening.
SAMET NANGSHE VIEWPOINT
One of the most beautiful viewpoints in southern Thailand can be found atop a hill just 45 minutes from Aleenta resort. Overlooking the Phang Nga Bay National Park, this breath taking spot boasts 180-degree views of islands in the distance and lush mangrove forest below.
The viewpoint requires that you hike for roughly 15-20 minutes, but it is well worth the effort. There is a small campsite once you reach the top and the views are particularly gorgeous in the early morning as the sun rises behind the towering limestone karsts.
If you visit the site at sunset, it’s possible to see the Milky Way on certain nights throughout the year. Depending on the time of day you will also have the opportunity to visit a local museum to learn more about the culture and history of the area.

The class is specifically tailored to the tastes of you and your partner with a special emphasis placed on attentiveness and direction throughout the course. Beginning at 8.30, visit the local market to take in the lively sights and sounds. As you wander between stalls, learn about the Thai herbs and vegetables that are used in traditional Thai dishes, many of which may be new to you.

NIGHT MARKET IN OLD TOWN PHUKET
On Sunday nights, the Aleenta Phuket Resort & Spa invites guests to enjoy an open-air night bazaar near the heart of Phuket’s charming Old Town. It’s an exciting must-do attraction that will give you a behind the scenes glimpse of the local Thai community!
Among the artfully lit stalls and colourful umbrellas you will find food vendors serving up delicious southern Thai cooking and entertainers wowing the crowds. Those who enjoy shopping will find paradise among the handmade Thai souvenirs and crafts on display.
Skilfully embroidered garments, stunning lacquerware, wood carvings and intricately woven baskets are just a few of the traditional Thai delights sold at this busy market. The resort provides a shuttle service to the Night Market. There is also the option to visit the nearby Weekend Market, which is held on Saturdays and Sundays.
MONKEY MOUNTAIN & THAM SUWAN KUHA TEMPLE TOUR
High on a majestic mountain, after a scenic 30-minute drive past limestone cliffs and symmetrical rows of slender rubber trees, sits Tham Suwan Kuha Temple. What makes this temple so unique is that it is nestled within a large natural cave that it is also home to a family of monkeys.
At the entrance of the cave is a chedi that looks similar to the famous Wat Arun in Bangkok. However, it is what is inside that offers the main attraction – an enormous gold reclining Buddha that is both majestic and timeless.
The cave also has several standing Buddha figures, important religious items, shrines and stupas that can be visited via a series of staircases and paths snaking around stalagmites and other rock formations within the cave.
Just outside the temple monkeys eagerly wait for tasty treats. It is possible to buy food for the monkeys from several vendors that have set up shop near the temple. Many vendors also sell cold drinks, fresh fruit, and Thai snacks for visitors to enjoy.
