The Resident Hotel “Alla Giudecca” is located in the historic center of Ortigia island, in the heart of the Jewish Quarter, next to the sea, with the cathedral behind. The Hotel is an ancient building completely restored, respecting the history and the wide place of the mediterranean locations. In the basement the hotel hides the jewel of the oldest Jewish ritual bath in Europe that we suggest to visit.
The courtyards have an Arabic atmosphere, that improve the spaces of the facility: the conference room, available on request; the reading room, surrounded by the quiet of the palace; the music room and the well-stocked boutique. The large and bright breakfast area offer every morning a continental breakfast.
SUITE
Our suites, tastefully furnished and equipped with all the comfort, are divided into Standard and Superior.Due to their size (70 square metres on average) may be considered mini-apartments: they are all equipped with private bathroom accessorised, living room with sofa, TV, telephone, air conditioning, kitchen cabinet, balcony or porch.
The enchanting view of the sea from the rooms Superior makes your stay at our hotel unforgettable. The suites with more bedrooms can accommodate until 6 people.
JEWISH BATH
In the basement of the Residence “Alla Giudecca” is located, at 18 meters of depth, the biggest and oldest Jewish ritual bath in Europe. Discovered just 25 years ago, it is the Residence’s jewel. The discovery was made during the renovations of the building. This sacred place of the Jewish tradition of immense historical and cultural value was used to carry out the ritual of purification.
BOUTIQUE
Our boutique is located inside the structure and provided with fine fabrics, ethnic clothes, bags, hats and shoes. Pero exclusivist and Saracen Tailoring, is accurate in every detail and can satisfy every need, from daily clothing by sea to exclusive dress for the evening. There are exposed and affordable also, typical food products and ceramics.
MEETING & EVENTS
The conference room of the Residence can accommodate conventions, meetings and events. It has 120 seats and is equipped with video projector, microphones and sound system.
