Modern glass-roof sauna brings a new dimension to your sauna experience. Admire the surrounding beautiful nature from sauna and enjoy the heat of the outdoor jacuzzi on a scenery terrace. BARREL SAUNA
Traditional wood-heated barrel sauna floating on a river is a perfect place to relax in the middle of nature. Amenities include: Carried water, hot water container, bathing equipment (bucket, vase and scoop), towels, small dressing room, seat covers. Sauna fits about 4 persons at a time. From the sauna deck you can go swimming in natural water, or in winter try ice cold plunge, if you dare.
4H HUSKY SAFARI WITH LUNCH
Looking for a longer tour with the arctic dogs? Here we go on a half-day husky safari through the snowy landscapes of Lapland forests. We stop half-way for a lunch in the wilderness and you can learn a lot about huskies from your guide, a professional musher. On your way back you can swap places so both of you gets to try mushing hands-on!
SNOWMOBILE SAFARI
Driving through the arctic winter forests across the frozen river while admiring the beauty of the Lappish nature your guide leads your way on this exciting snowmobile safari. Keep your camera with you!
There are a couple of stops for taking amazing photos and chatting with your guide about life in Lapland. IMPORTANT: All drivers without exception must have a valid full drivers license and be aged 18 or more.
NIGHTTIME SNOWMOBILE SAFARI
Driving a snowmobile we can go anywhere! Your guide will lead you through the snowy forests to the high terrain to spot the Northern Lights far away from any artificial lights. It’s really exciting to drive at night.
You might even see some white rabbits or reindeer in your headlights. To drive, the participant must be 18 years old or more, and have a full drivers license. Minors aged 15 and up may sit on the snowmobile but under no circumstances will be allowed to drive.
HORSE SLEIGH RIDE
Friendly and beautiful Finnhorse arrives to pick you up from the Aurora Village reception. This blonde haired strong working horse will take you and a calm and relaxing tour through the snowy forests around Aurora Village.
REINDEER SLEIGH RIDE
Meet your guide at the Aurora Village reception who will take you on a short walk to the Reindeer park. Your reindeer sleigh is awaiting and will take you on a peaceful winter adventure in a traditional ‘raito’ form where the reindeer walk one after another each pulling a sleigh. Sit back and enjoy the 800m sleigh ride through the snowy forest.
NORTHERN LIGHTS CHASING BY CAR
After some research on the weather forecast we take a car and drive it to places where the sky is most clear and the probability of seeing the Northern Lights is highest. Your experienced guide, a professional Aurora Hunter has some interesting stories to tell. A hot drink and snack is included. You can get access to the photographs taken during the trip.
SIIDA MUSEUM & LAPLAND NATURE CENTER
We will drive you along beautiful landscapes formed by several small lakes and the great Lake Inari. Your guide will tell you stories about Lapland as you approach the Lapp museum Siida where you’ll see a DVD of the Northern Lights. We will take a tour of the museum.
The guide will walk with you and will be there for you in case of questions. You can have also your own time in the museum of many international awards. The museum displays the original way of living of Sámi people and the Lappish wilderness with its eight seasons of the year. This is an exciting day to see and hear about the Lappish way of living.
BOAT TRIP ON LAKE INARI
Lake Inari is known for its clear waters and many sacred sites for the local Sámi community. Since the size and importance for the local Sámi the lake has nickname Sámi Sea.
Boat trip is heading to one of the many islands of Lake Inari, Jääsaari. Where you can enjoy snack by the fire. If you are brave enough, you can have dip on the Lake so take your swimsuit with you!
HIKING TO OTSAMO FELL
On top of the fell you can find Otsamo day hut, that used to serve as fire warden’s accommodation with its lookout towers.The scenery down towards the village and open lake is amazing! From top of Otsamo fell the scenery opens up towards Lake Inari, Hammastunturi, Muotka and Lemmenjoki fell areas.
Our path follows along the roaring Juutua River in an ancient pine-tree forest for the first five kilometers and then starts ascending towards the fell top. Before reaching the top all pine trees and even the tiny mountain birch trees vanish as we eventually find the bare treeless top of the fell.
FATBIKE & PACKRAFT
On this tour you will have plenty of time to enjoy our beautiful nature on the land and on the water! The tour starts at our hotel where we pack our lunch and packrafts. We ride small roads to a large Wilderness lake where our guide will give you the safety instructions for the paddling while you wait your packraft to fill up with air. We will paddle to the other side of the lake where our guide will prepare your lunch by the open fire.
