Designed by architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the resort’s layout and overall design incorporates the culture and natural elements of the location. The hotel has been built and furnished using hand-cut volcanic stones, rich exotic woods and refined fabrics.

Natural lava and palimanan stone are used for the garden and interior walls, refined bangkiray hardwood in the villas, natural green-colored sukabumi stone to clad outdoor showers, plunge and swimming pools.

A collection of exquisite Balinese antiques and exotic art pieces adorn the entire resort. Furniture and decorative details, such as stemware, flatware, ceramics and woven fabrics, were designed and produced in Bali by a team of local artists and designers in collaboration with the resort’s architects.

FIVE-BEDROOM MANSION
The Five-Bedroom Mansions feature five separate bedrooms, private pool and garden with Indian Ocean View, terrace, open – air living room pavilion, Miele kitchen appliances and private elevator.

Every Mansion has its own garden and swimming pool ranging from 14 to 23 metres surrounded by sun decks and a gazebo with open living areas opening into the garden. The top floors of The Mansions feature a large open space including a living room, a dining room and a bar.

The common spaces continue outdoors in the garden, with the gazebo sheltering the open-air living room, and the poolside area that offers some of the finest views of the ocean. The swimming pools, inspired by rice paddies, have been lined with the green hues of Sukabumi stone.

The private spaces are located on the ground floor and feature spacious bedrooms with every imaginable comfort and privacy. Both the master bedroom and the guest bedrooms have a foyer, a study and walk-in closets. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with walls clad in warm-toned exotic stone.

THE BULGARI VILLA
A private entrance conducts to this 1,300 square metres unit that includes two bedrooms, a living room with bar, a spacious dining room, a private cinema, a kitchen and a spa treatment room.

Closest to the high cliff’s edge are 8 villas that stand out over the others. The cliff villa at Bulgari Resort Bali offers a completely unobstructed view of the ocean’s infinite horizon.

THE BULGARI BAR

Definitely one of the best beach bars in Bali – the curved bar counter in black resin is modeled on that of the Bulgari Hotel bar in Milan, while its main element is a massive stone, sculpted entirely by the forces of nature.  The menu at the Bulgari Resort bar offers a refined selection of cocktails, quality wines, canapés and snacks, all in keeping with the Italian tradition of the aperitivo.

STARLIGHT DINNER EXPERIENCE

IL RISTORANTE – LUCA FANTIN
Opened in 2017, Il Ristorante – Luca Fantin at the Bulgari Resort Bali is an intimate 36-seat restaurant that serves creative interpretations of classic Italian cuisine blended with local, organic ingredients all paired with the refined techniques and the great creativity of Italian Resident Head Chef.

Open for dinner only, the restaurant offers a seductive ambience overlooking a reflection pool, enhanced with suggestive soft lighting. The wine list also features 200 bottles of predominantly Italian wines and an excellent Champagne selection.

The first flagship Michelin-starred Il Ristorante – Luca Fantin is located in Tokyo’s Bulgari Ginza Tower, and has offered one of the city’s most sophisticated dining experiences since it opened its doors in 2009.

SANGKAR RESTAURANT
With its extraordinary position at the edge of a cliff and its elegant yet informal atmosphere, distinguished by a magnificently illuminated ceiling and traditional woven lamps, the Sangkar Restaurant at Bulgari Resort Bali offers a menu of international specialties, creatively combining popular Indonesian dishes with contemporary culinary techniques.

Throughout the day, guests can enjoy Balinese dishes such as tamarind chicken breast or bamboo shoot and vegetable curry with turmeric-scented rice.

LA SPIAGGIA

Located under the cliff, over the stretch of white sand beach of the Bulgari Resort Bali, La Spiaggia is immersed into unspoiled nature. It is available exclusively for our guests, open for lunch from 12 pm to 4.30 pm, and only accessible through a funicular.

THE BULGARI SPA

WATER WEDDING
The altar at Bulgari Resort Bali is set upon a transparent carpet gently floating on the surface of the Water Pond. A truly unique experience, for a wedding ceremony held in front of the infinity of the Indian Ocean. Certainly an impeccable wedding venue in Bali.

THE BULGARI MANSION WEDDING
Designed by the Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the Mansion is inspired by Balinese culture and design. Located within the Resort on a secluded hill bordered by cliffs, the five-bedroom Mansion offers extraordinary views of the Indian Ocean and spacious outdoor and indoor areas that cover 4,415 square metres.

The altar is set upon a transparent carpet floating on the surface of the upper pool, creating a truly unique experience. To continue the celebration in privacy and style, the Bulgari Mansion Wedding includes a two-night stay in a five-bedroom Mansion.

A Bulgari Wedding Planner will take care of all necessary coordination to ensure an exquisite day. The Wedding Planner orchestrates such details as the arrangement of flowers, music to be played during the vow exchange, and drinks and food for the reception.

THE BEACH
The white sand beach between the cliff and the water’s edge is inaccessible to the general public from both ground and sea, as it is protected by a coral reef. The only access is from the Resort’s inclined elevator that takes guests to and from the beach as well as to the Beach Club.

The absence of man-made development is often taken as an invitation by schools of dolphins to frolic in this stretch of sea, visible to guests from the ocean view villas and from the beach.

As in most of the beaches in Bali, the heights of the tide as well as the strength of the current are prohibiting any swimming activity. The Beach Club has been conceived to provide guests with any comfort while sunbathing, to stroll by the beach, or simply to relax while enjoying lunch from La Spiaggia.

PRIVATE INCLINATOR
Bulgari’s private beach and beachside restaurant La Spiaggia are only accessible via the Resort’s private inclinator, which is available exclusively to in-house guests. The inclinator takes guests from the top of a dramatic cliff down to the beach below, hugging the natural trajectory of the cliff as it descends. The inclinator runs from 9 am to 6 pm each day.

BULGARI BOUTIQUE
The Bulgari boutique, which represents the first and sole Bulgari store in Bali, offers the unique opportunity for clients to browse at leisure and enjoy Bulgari jewellery, watches, accessories and fragrance collection as well as a special Bulgari Hotels and Resorts, Bali collection of silk shirts, swimming suits and hats, exclusively sold at this location.

LA GALLERIA
A refined selection of gift items reflecting the thriving Balinese crafts tradition and rich artistic heritage is available at the arts and crafts store. Finest examples of traditional artefacts, such as ceramics, woodcarvings, stone sculptures, and hand-woven textiles are displayed in the shop along with original island jewelry. A wide choice of international newspapers and amenities is also available.

PURA LUHUR ULUWATU AND KECAK DANCE EXPERIENCE
Pura Luhur Uluwatu is one of Bali’s most famous sea temples, and is known for its spectacular cliff-top location. The experience brings the guests of the Bulgari Resort to the temple, where they watch the sunset and take in a traditional kecak dance featuring 50 performers in authentic Balinese dress.

MELUKAT PURIFYING CEREMONY
A ritual to cleanse body and soul, banish bad spirits and bring good fortune, the Melukat Purifying Ceremony of Bulgari Resort Bali takes place on the Resort’s private beach. Guests are dressed in traditional attire and led through the experience by a Balinese priest.

THE DESIGNERS EXPERIENCE
This full-day experience takes guests behind the scenes of two artisanal workshops — the ceramics studio of Gaya and the jeweller John Hardy — for an intimate look at the crafting process.

BALINESE COOKING CLASS
Led by the Resort’s award-winning culinary team, guests learn to prepare three iconic Indonesian dishes. To commemorate the occasion, they receive a Bulgari apron, recipes and an exclusive dining experience at Sangkar restaurant.

A DAY IN UBUD
Bali’s artistic and cultural centre of Ubud is the focus of this daylong excursion. Guests begin with a visit to a family home, before continuing with stops in villages, rice paddies, farms, and, finally, Ubud Center — home to Ubud Palace, a market, museums, art galleries and a monkey forest.

GREEN INITIATIVES – TRI HITA KARANA
Bulgari Resort Bali is proud to support the environment by implementing “Tri Hita Karana”. “Tri Hita Karana” is a Balinese life philosophy based on the human relationship with God (the spiritual environment), the human relationship with the community (the social environment) and the human relationship with nature (natural environment).

Every year, Bulgari Resort Bali embraces the “Tri Hita Karana” principles through a variety of initiatives. Honoring the different rituals and religious rites of the Hinduism practiced in Bali, the Resort employees make daily religious offerings and take part in ceremonies at the Resort’s temple.

Some of the more significant contributions to the community and environment are regular visits to a local orphanage, the recycling program, mangrove planting, a monthly cleaning campaign by the Resort’s employees, and the creation of the Chef’s herb garden.

We are also very proud to support local bee activists to preserve Bali’s declining bee population by adopting and maintaining several bee colonies within the Resort. Bulgari Resort Bali has won numerous “Tri Hita Karana” awards.
