RESERVE COLLECTION
Our Reserve collection represents the highest level of wine making perfection achieved by Castel Mimi. These two exclusive, high quality wines, from the best yields of 2012, have been matured in limited edition French oak barrels for 36 months, and aged in bottles for a total of 4 years.
Between them they have won no less than 8 Gold or Grand Gold international awards. The concept of ‘Reserve’ refers to the noble character and taste of these prestigious wines which are specific to the Codru region of Moldova. They embody the innovation, craftmanship and skills of the wine making experts at Castel Mimi.
THE GOVERNOR
The Governor is a premium wines series that honors the memory of Castel Mimi’s founder. Each wine owes its noble aromas and refined taste to the outstanding harvest of 2018, considered to be on of the best years in the region.
The grapes were harvested and selected manually in the vineyards of the Speia village located near the Nistru river. The vineyards possess a unique microclimate and soils composed of chernozem, sand, and gravel.
The wines were matured in premium quality Radoux Omega limited edition French barriques. The labels have an exclusive vintage design, that emulates the paper and ink features of tsarist currency from the period in which Constantin Mimi lived.
LIMITED SERIES
Limited Edition series features the selected wines of Castel Mimi, produced with the “one vine per bottle of wine” philosophy in mind, and by combining last generation equipment with old traditions, as most of the wines were matured in French oak barrels.
These wines are our battle horse, as they have won numerous awards at some of the most prestigious international competitions and being appreciated by consumers worldwide

WINERY TOURS & FOOD TASTING
Each winery tour allows you to discover the fascinating story behind Castel Mimi and taste some of the best Moldavan wines. The winery tour includes a captivating walk through the chateau’s cellars, gardens, courtyard and the production area of the winery.
The winery tour is concluded with guided wine tastings that will provide you with a great sensorial experience. All but one of our tours also includes a selection of traditional Moldovan, gourmet tasting dishes.
BLEND YOUR OWN WINE
During your “Blend your own wine” workshop you will get to create your very own cuvée by blending three Castel Mimi wines. During the workshop you will learn about wine blending and have fun in the process.
Once you have blended your wine you will get to bottle it and make a personalised label. If you’re looking to learn how to blend wine and create a wonderful memory of your time at Castel Mimi to take home with you and enjoy; this is the workshop for you.
