Located on 250 acres of stunning Yarra Valley landscape, the property offers breathtaking views across the fields and vineyards. A perfect base to explore the region or unwind at the hotel and enjoy the comfort of our amenities and 32 guest suites.

ACCOMMODATION
Approach to your suite takes you through the splendour of the original home and either Eleonore’s Restaurant or Sweetwater Café and on into the wide corridors of the North or South accommodation wing.

The Stables and all suites draw your attention out to the lawns where you briefly imagine ladies in their finery, twirling parasols joining partners for a quiet afternoon stroll.

Returning to your own surrounds you find impeccable attention to detail in antique furnishings and an escape to a time far removed from radio, TV and smartphones.

All Suites individually designed and named after something or someone of great influence with the property or the Yarra Valley since the 1800s.

Yering Suite
The signature Yering Suite is the only accommodation in the original home. Private access up the stairs from the main house opens to an exclusive 60 sqm (651 sq ft) apartment size suite without compromise and without adjacent suites.

This stunning split-level space offers a separate sleeping area furnished with an antique half-tester bed and the finest appointed marble ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet. The separated large lounge room complete with gas log fireplace is a retreat unto itself.

Both the bedroom and lounge each have a Juliette balcony providing access to the outdoors vantage point to take in views across the Yarra Valley and the hotel grounds below. Yering Suite features:

  • Antique half tester bed
  • Spa bath and separate shower
  • Antique furniture and fine art
  • Unobtrusive hidden small flat screen televisions with DVD players

Traditional High Tea at Chateau Yering Hotel
There remain only a few venues committed to the style and elegance of traditional High Tea; fewer still committed to the art of an inhouse party chef dedicated to their craft. High Tea is held in our Drawing Room or guest lounges.

This is for your mother. You may be celebrating out with friends, with family or a group of strangers but this experience will have you raising a glass to your mother. Begin the high tea with a traditional three-tiered stand generously catering with gourmet sandwiches and warm savories.

Perfect traditional fresh baked scones may often be overlooked but we can assure you they will be discussed long after your afternoon with us. A glass of Yarra Valley sparkling wine or French Champagne is offered upon arrival, followed by a varied selection of teas and coffee.

And we would be remiss to overlook the sense of place; the grandeur and history associated with the venue, antiques and art second only to the magnificent view out across the grazing pastures, vineyards and Domain Chandon estate beyond. Your High Tea will include an indulgent selection of:

  • Ribbon Sandwiches
  • Savory Items
  • Scones served with house-made jam and cream
  • Selection of miniature cakes
  • Tea or Coffee
