Historic Vienna and the hip scene in the Museumsquartier. This is Das Tyrol. Individual, personal, stylish, and charming. And we are particularly pleased that this is also reflected in our newly renovated house. A guest from London wrote in our guestbook: “This is our Schatzkammer”.

And this is something we are proud of, because we know this guest means art. He means our service. He means the dedication of our team. He means our entire hotel. Experience this special mélange of art, culture, and charming hospitality.

Hundreds of handmade porcelain leaves in white and gold hanging from a delicate glass pearl string sparkle in the light. They seem to dance as they tell their story of mystique and magic.

The Niagara Dorado chandelier is a lighting design by Lladró – and it is the first thing that will welcome you in our hotel. Continue through the silently sliding glass door and enter another world.

In the reception area, you will be welcomed by Dolce Gabbana Girls in Red, the first work in the trilogy by Attila Adorjan. In a stylish opulence, the golden curtains bridge the gap with the velvet red seating by Wittmann, which is perfect for cuddling with its calyx-like shape.

The reception desk made of onyx magically shimmers and conjures up reflections on the wall tiles of the gold leaf in the background. Nothing is left to chance here, nothing is replaceable.

With a touch of luxury. Not as a statement. Luxury as a matter of course. Unpretentious. Sophisticated iconic art meets contemporary art and creates a unique atmosphere. Everything here breathes art.

STUDIO & SUPERIOR ROOM
We believe that space is created by light, and we have dedicated much attention to this concept. Indirect, direct, soft, subtle, and colorful – the atmosphere of our rooms is defined by sophisticated lighting accents.

The rooms display the color taupe and nuances between dark orange and terra cotta. The rooms include classy designer lamps by Oasis from Italy, box-spring beds with Treca mattresses, and hand-stitched leather from France on the headboard.

The pattern of this leather upholstery can also be seen on the silently closing room door, which our carpenter made by hand. All of our rooms are bright and flooded in natural light but can also be completely darkened. In each room, there is a small living area with stylish couch and seat.

On the light parquet floor with herringbone pattern is a decorative rug. The coffee maker with Nespresso capsules is in the cabinet. Each room has a mirrored nightstand with LED lighting, mini bar, and smart TV.

Rooms and baths are separated by frosted glass. Almost all marble baths are equipped with a spacious walk-in shower and feature a towel heater, a Dyson hair dryer, a large, lit make-up mirror, and plenty of counter space. Of course, our elevator in red and gold is also a spectacular sight! Nevertheless, you might want to take the time to explore the staircase on foot.

There are also many original works of art that hang in the hallway, and the window on each floor presents its own staging with great attention to detail. This is what’s it like to stay at Das Tyrol.

DELUXE ROOM
Whether a single or double room – the stylish furnishings as well as original works of art are especially impressive in these bright rooms. With 25 m², our Deluxe Double Room invites you to enjoy yourself. All rooms are air conditioned, and the windows can be opened. Enjoy a lot of luxury in a small space.

AMENITIES
Hotel Das Tyrol is a 4-star hotel of an exclusive 5-star luxury level. The rooms are bright and have much common such as the refined technical details with environmental aspects in mind and a lot of indirect lighting. Five of our 30 rooms are equipped with a bathtub, and the others have a spacious walk-in shower. There is also a SuitePad in each room.

This tablet is your electronic room directory and brochure with all hotel information, insider tips, and restaurant recommendations. Of course, you can also surf the web, play games, and read newspapers.

THE BREAKFAST
Let yourself be pampered in the morning – you are at Das Tyrol after all. And as you know, service is our passion. Franz Joseph, Maria Theresia, or perhaps Sisi? We are not talking about successors to the throne here but rather variations of our breakfast menu.

Whichever you decide, it will be served à la carte and à la minute. Freshness is important to us as is the origin of the products. Therefore, we rely on select producers from Austria, who love their craft as much as we love ours.

We will pamper you not only with Viennese coffee specialties and our own organic tea mixtures but also our carefully selected breakfast offer. Together with Lucas Steindorfer, we have worked intensively with various producers and explored the local offers and are now happy to be able to provide sustainable quality on our breakfast menu.

Bread and pastries come from the Öfferl family bakery, our own organic roast from Cafébrennerei Franze at the Kutschkermarkt in Vienna in the Währing district, organic herbal and fruit tea mixtures from Saint Charles, homemade granola and Bircher muesli, Radatz and Thum ham, sausages from Höllerschmid, freshly squeezed orange juice, whipped butter…basically, everything that is good.

DINING
Since – as it is commonly known – the eye also feasts, tableware is an important aspect. This includes cloth napkins, gold cutlery designed by Pinti 1929, which was modeled on the columns of Greek and Roman temples, dishes by Bernardaud Limoges, and water glasses that are blown, hand-cut, engraved, and polished masterpieces by Lobmeyr.

LOUNGE & BAR
Both works Dolce Gabbana Man in Red and Women in Gold complete the trilogy by Attila Adorjan. As if he had painted them exclusively for our hotel, they skillfully bridge the gap between the bar and lobby.

At the same time, they define space and color in the bar. In a casual, Baroque style, the heavy French curtains in red and gold emphasize the works of art. The onyx bar is lined with golden bar stools.

With coordinated colors, the sophisticated seating by Wittmann and Kroupa invite you to relax. The charming little stools in red and gold were designed especially by our carpenter to match your favorite handbag. Yes, it’s the small, fine details that makes our hotel something special.

THE LIVING ROOM
Our bar is not a typical hotel bar. Rather, it is something like an extended living room of the host Helena Ramsbacher. Exclusively accessible to our hotel guests we offer coffee and tea specialties and a small but fine selection of spirits and drinks. Whether you would like to escape from the busy city or if you need a relaxed space to work – we will do our best to cater your needs.

We do have a lot of talents, but we cannot do everything. This is why we have decided to work together with one of Vienna’s bests to incorporate our ideas for our bar. Hubert Peter is his name and when he is not out and about you can find him at ‘Bruder’.

Everything but ordinary – this is Hubert’s idea of a good bar. He makes a lot of things himself such as his rosé-vermouth, for which he uses organic wine from Burgenland, organic brandy, and herbs from his own garden in Vienna.

He serves it with tonic and an herbal bouquet. He also makes our delicious lemon soda himself. For teas, he relies on the organic products of the St. Charles pharmacy. When it comes to cola, he also relies on local products.

He chooses Tirola Kola, which is a product from the Tyrolean Unterland. Pure mountain spring water, spruce needles, and pine, refined with the exotic kola nut – a regional, vegan cola creation that impresses with its sensational taste.

We do not have much in our bar, but what we have is of the highest quality. And the unobtrusiveness of our team contributes to a relaxed atmosphere. Come to us in the living room and let the day fade away between contemporary original artworks.

SPA & WELLNESS
See with the heart. Let go of your thoughts. A place that touches the soul. That’s exactly what our private spa is. You can rest on wonderfully comfortable loungers. A sauna session has a soothing, pleasant effect. A moment becomes eternity.

A true treat after an exciting day. When you open your eyes, you will find an infinitely calming sight: a huge salt water aquarium in which the fish display their most dazzling colors. You and our guests can marvel at beautiful tropical fish, which are no less beautiful than those in their own ocean home.

Do you prefer a classic Finnish sauna or a cooler steam bath? A light therapy shower ensures ultimate relaxation. In the relaxation room are comfortable loungers to help you regenerate. And it would not be Das Tyrol if the artistic aspect didn’t play an essential role.

So, the room is decorated with gold Bisazza tiles on the walls. The WC is a crocodile design from the “Jungle” series by Ceramica Cielo. Of course, refreshments, soft towels, and a Dyson hair dryer are available.

You will find bathrobes and slippers in your room. Whether in the afternoon before a big evening or afterwards for relaxation, let us know when you would like to reserve our wellness oasis. For your booked period, it is available exclusively for you, and as a guest at Das Tyrol, use of our spa area is free.

CONCIERGE
We have found that as a hotel, you don’t have to be big but good! There are many extras that make our hotel so special such as the à la carte breakfast, the exclusive luxury amenities in the rooms, original works by contemporary artists, and certainly the service-oriented focus of each employee.

We are convinced: good service makes a good hotel! As part of our concierge service, we are here to assist you with whatever you need. We are happy to provide you with tips for exhibits or museums as well as excellent restaurant recommendations.

Of course, we will also make table reservations for you. Whether a sightseeing tour or airport taxi, we will organize everything for you… upon request, even before your arrival. We are also happy to help you with online check-in.

If you should become sick, contact us. No matter whether you need a doctor or medication, we will help immediately. Do you suffer from a wheat flour allergy, or are you lactose or gluten intolerant or diabetic? Simply let us know. We will provide appropriate foods for your special needs.

Whether washing, ironing, or cleaning, our laundry service will gladly take care of your clothes. Simply leave them at the reception desk in the morning by 10:00 am. In the evening, you can pick up your cleaned laundry.

Also, if you should arrive before 2:00 pm, we will do our best to ensure that your room is available before the official check-in time. When we talk about personal service, we mean it literally. Whatever makes your stay with us better, tell us. It is very important to us that you feel completely at home here.

LOCATION
Right in the historic center of Vienna. You will find Das Tyrol in the Museumsquartier where the Mariahilfer Straße begins, Vienna’s largest and most popular shopping street. The hotel is located in the middle of the pedestrian zone, but you can still access the hotel by car.

We recommend parking in the underground garage, which is only a few meters away. With our sensational location, you won’t need your car during your stay. In fact, you won’t even need public transportation.

With the exception of Schönbrunn Palace, you can reach everything on foot. Many of the city’s major attractions and cultural institutions are practically right at your doorstep. The Museumsquartier, Natural History Museum, Hofburg, Vienna State Opera, Musikverein, Secession, and Naschmarkt – they can all be reached in a few minutes.

With the Museumsquartier station on the U2 line, the U-Bahn is only 150 meters away, and if you should arrive by plane, we recommend our convenient pick-up service from the airport.
