Dating from 1843, our elegant red-brick Victorian Egerton House is located right in the heart of vibrant Knightsbridge, just a short stroll from Harrods, the Science Museum and the world-famous Victoria & Albert Museum.

And yet our location is remarkably peaceful, on a quiet residential road overlooking a private, leafy garden, offering the feel of a sumptuous private house, rather than a hotel. Led by General Manager Michelle Devlin, with 15 years of service, The Egerton House is a family of passionate people, committed to giving the very best in all we do.

We are proud to be a part of the family-owned and run Red Carnation Hotel Collection and our warm, inclusive ethos embraces every aspect of our guests’ experiences, which is just one reason why we were recently awarded the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating – and why our treasured guests choose to stay with us time and again.

With just 23 rooms, four Studio Suites and one Master Suite, every room is flooded with creativity and filled with beautiful antiques and one-off artworks.

Our V & A Suite has our guests’ comfort in mind, with sumptuous touches such as silk-lined walls, luxurious curtains and a king-sized bed, while one-of-a-kind antiques add an eclectic touch. The hotel also boasts a fascinating art collection, with a number of original Picasso and Renoir lithographs adorning our walls.

SUITES
Flooded with creativity, each of our suites has a distinct character, filled with original artworks, one-off antiques, beautiful views and private seating areas. Experience the true grandeur and elegance of a luxury town house stay in Knightsbridge.

THE V & A SUITE
The warm red décor in this luxurious suite with a separate lounge area takes you back to the time of the Tudors, featuring unique furniture and lavish fabrics that adorn the room. Located on the ground floor it is ideal for families, featuring comfortable sofa beds in the bedroom and living room, and a king-size bed in the main bedroom.

The separate sitting lounge has floor-length French doors that open to the private outside Garden Terrace, where guests can spend their day surrounded by the quietness and privacy of the Egerton Gardens. The Victoria & Albert Suite is packed with additional amenities such as a Nespresso machine and a Garden Terrace cocktail trolley with three vintage decanters.

STUDIO SUITE
Each impressive top-floor Studio Suite is large enough for a sofa that converts to a bed for a third guest. Enjoy lovely views over Egerton Gardens, a cosy sitting area, an en-suite marble bathroom, and the latest technology to remain in constant touch with the outside world. Or, you might prefer to switch off and simply relax in the luxurious surroundings.

ROOMS
A stay at the five star Egerton House Hotel takes you back to a time when service, hospitality, and elegant accommodation were held in high esteem and to this day, the rooms retain the grandeur and exclusivity of the town houses of which they were once part.

DELUXE KING
Our designers have made full use of the space and the grandeur of our Deluxe King Rooms. Each one is an exuberant statement of style and opulence, with our-front facing rooms enjoying full-height bay windows that catch the afternoon sunlight. Choose between king and twin-bedded rooms.

CLASSIC ROOM
Each Classic Double Room is a statement of individuality, based on fine fabrics, imaginative furnishings and original works of art. From the casually traditional to the breathtakingly sophisticated, every room is homely and welcoming.

You’ll find the latest modern amenities too, from flat-screen TVs and a Bose Bluetooth portable speaker to marble en-suite bathrooms and invigorating power showers.

DINING
The Egerton House Hotel, and our local Knightsbridge area, is a five-star gourmet’s paradise. In our beautiful Drawing Room, discover a carefully curated menu of comforting dishes and signature classics; in our Dining Room, indulge in our exceptional breakfast, recently voted the UK’s best.

THE AFTERNOON TEA
Warm scones straight from the oven, delicious finger sandwiches filled with finely sliced smoked salmon or roast chicken, delicate fruit tarts, pastries, and cupcakes towering with butter icing… there can be few daytime indulgences as joyful as traditional Afternoon Tea.

At The Egerton we know how to bring this finest of English traditions to glorious life. Relax in our sumptuous Drawing Room with a fragrant pot of loose-leaf tea, or perhaps a glass of Champagne, and prepare to be spoiled.

A VINEYARD BETWEEN HEAVEN & EARTH
Cradled amid the hills of the Hemel-en-Aarde (Heaven and Earth) valley, our sister vineyard Bouchard Finlayson is widely acclaimed as one of South Africa’s leading boutique wine cellars.

As part of The Travel Corporation (TTC) family of brands, we are proud to showcase and serve the delicious collection of Bouchard Finlayson wines in each of our restaurants and bars.

With a terroir defined by both ancient soils and a cool maritime climate, the vineyards of Bouchard Finlayson are famous for producing award-winning Pinot Noir, elegant Chardonnay and terroir-driven Sauvignon Blanc, while inspired blends showcase the depth of skill and innovation in our winemaking team.

HOME FROM HOME
Our Executive Chef Daby and her wonderful team are flexible and helpful – provided we have the ingredients, they will be delighted to prepare your favourite dish to order. If you are planning a small dinner party the elegant Dining Room is available for your privacy and enjoyment.

We understand that after a lot of travelling combined with business meetings or sightseeing in London, your body-clock might be a little out of sync. In order to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, we offer a 24-hour breakfast menu so you don’t miss out on the most important meal of the day.

THE BAR
Just a short stroll from the V&A, The Egerton Bar is the ideal destination during a day of culture. But while we have our own Picasso and Renoir lithographs at the hotel, the work of art we’re most proud of is our signature cocktail: The Martini.

As a five-star hotel, we offer guests a completely personalised experience from an impeccably stocked bar. We can make a great martini any way you want – straight, dirty, apple sour or even chocolate.

But for a truly unforgettable drink, we strongly recommend our take on the classic. Accompany your drinks experience with delicious dishes from our bar menu, alongside our signature canapés.

We start with a frozen glass, chilled to 22 degrees below. A dash of vermouth first, then gin as cold as the glass. It’s poured all the way to the rim, so there’s only one way to drink it: our trademark Egerton Slurp. Trust us – it’s the only way to avoid spilling a single drop.

We normally finish things off with a single squeeze of lemon rind, nothing more, nothing less. Times have changed since the first martinis 130 years ago though, so if you prefer vodka to gin, we’re happy to make the switch.

We strongly advise one thing; whatever the spirit, treat it gently. As far as we’re concerned, our martinis are never shaken, never stirred, always perfect.

DINING OUT
As part of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection, we are fortunate to be able to showcase a number of delicious dining experiences at our sister hotels, from freshly made sushi overlooking Buckingham Palace to South African signature dishes underneath London’s largest Living Wall.

SPA & WELLNESS
Step into the five-star Egerton House Hotel and feel the stress of the outside world slip away, as we take care of your body, mind and soul. We take an all-encompassing view of our guests’ wellbeing, offering nurturing spa and beauty treatments in your room and access to a nearby health and fitness spa health club – every requirement is met with warmth and grace.

DIETARY OPTIONS
We also offer a vegan afternoon tea, with a multitude of vegetarian and plant-based options available at our bar and 24-hour breakfast menu. Milly, our resident Jack Russell, is one of the hotel family and is on hand to provide calming company.

We are delighted to welcome your four-legged friends too and you can treat them to a doggy afternoon tea, with chicken and beef meatloaf, homemade doggy biscuit, and doggylicious ice cream.
