Settle in comfortably in the heart of the captivating Tuscan countryside, with its harmonious and soothing colors. Come and stay in one of our four farmhouses, renovated with respect for tradition, and using and recycling Tuscan materials. On the estate you can rent rooms, suites, apartments and villas with private pools.

Ideally situated, just a stone’s throw from the famed city of Florence, the estate is a mere forty minutes from the airport. It offers good accessibility by car – car parks are available, as well as a charging point for electric vehicles – or by train and bus from Florence. Pets will be pleased to hear that they are welcome to come along too, whichever rental you opt for.

Our estate carries an Ecolabel and undertakes to promote and transmit Tuscan culture. We also place an onus on ecological, social and cultural sustainable development. Our estate carries eco-responsible certification.

ROOMS & SUITES 
Two of our buildings offer room hire: Casabella, the main building, where you will also find the reception, restaurants and pool, with its elegant and rustic decor and terra cotta flooring.

And Casanova, an annex building located 300 meters away, with its Tuscan, “Shabby Chic” design. Located in the heart of the estate, among the vines and olive groves, there is also a pool and a car park equipped with a charging point for electric vehicles.

Fall under the spell of the Tuscan scenery and savor your stay while gazing out at the Chianti Rufina hills from your bedroom. Every morning, savor a hearty breakfast packed with organic produce from the garden or from local producers.

DELUXE SUITE
Casanova, a 19th century house with a “Shabby Chic” décor, offers ground floor flats with private garden. Let yourself be seduced by this Tuscan décor and enhance your stay by admiring the Chianti Rufina hills from your room.

Enjoy the privacy of Casanova, set back from the main building. You can stay completely on your own in the fully equipped flat or take advantage of the services offered by the AgriResort.

CASAMIA SUITE
All the comforts of a suite… with the added bonus of a private terrace just a stone’s throw from the pool and a cosy sitting area for unforgettable moments of relaxation. With a double bed downstairs and a bed on the mezzanine for a child, and a sitting area open to the downstairs bedroom that can accommodate a fourth child, the CasaMia suite is ideal for a family stay.

JUNIOR SUITE
This suite is ideal for couples with children who want to stay in the same room. It has a double bed and a sofa bed that can accommodate one to two children. Bathroom with bath and shower.

SUPERIOR ROOM
The Superior Room is large and comfortable, ideal for 2 people and offers the possibility of adding a third bed or crib for a child. Located on the second floor of the main house, it has a terracotta floor and ceiling characterized by wooden beams, a cozy place within warm tones of authentic Tuscan furnitures.

THE APARTMENTS
Rent an apartment in one of the estate’s two buildings, Monterifrassine or Casanova. Each apartment features its own kitchen, leaving you free to discover the Tuscan dolce vita and head to the market in Florence or stock up on artisanal organic produce at the Bottega del Mulino grocery store located just a stone’s throw from each apartment. All the apartments feature a fireplace, Wi-Fi connection and you can also make use of Casabella pool.

MALVASIA APARTMENT
The Monterifrassine building is located 250 metres from Casabella, towards the windmill. This is where this flat is located. On the ground floor of the building, there is a common equipped laundry.

Outside, in the communal garden, there is a barbecue, deckchairs, wrought iron tables and chairs. Across the street is the Bottega del Mulino, our grocery shop selling local products and especially products from the estate.

DINING 
How can you experience Tuscany without experiencing its cuisine? Everything we serve is produced by us or supplied by local producers and artisans. We strive to offer traditional, delicious and hearty cuisine to suite all tastes and desires. From our kitchen garden to your plate, awaken your tastebuds.

If you stay with B&B basis, you will have the pleasure to discover every morning our rich buffet breakfast, served in the cozy room and in the farmyard of Podere Casabella.

From May to September, casabella’s Veranda in piscina is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For lunch it offers local and organic dishes as well as rich fresh salads with vegetables from the Farm’s garden. The rest of the day it serves snacks, drinks and cocktails.

BOTTEGA DEL MULINO
La Bottega del Mulino is our wine shopwhere you can also find local products. In front of the Estate’s windmill, it is the ideal place to start the morning with a coffee and our homemade cakes, taste our wines accompanied by cutting boards and special sandwiches or start the evening with a nice aperitif.

PICNIC
As close as possible to nature and in a natural setting, why not enjoy a sophisticated, fun and gourmet la Fattoria lunch with creative cuisine, composed of fresh, seasonal produce.

In the summer months, come and enjoy a picnic among the vines and olive groves, for an enjoyable moment among family members or friends. At La Bottega we prepare picnic basket composed entirely of local organic produce: charcuterie, cheese, tiramisu and drinks. A real feast!

WEDDINGS IN TUSCANY

Stage your event in one of several remarkable venues, each with their own histories and profound symbolic identities: our two-hundred-year-old Cedar, our wine cellar, the olive grove and the Estate grounds.

The mayor will even join you on-site to perform civil ceremonies. For religious ceremonies meanwhile, Montefiesole Monastery is just one kilometer from la Fattoria.

CHIANTI RUFINA’S SECRETS
While visiting one of our vineyards, you will learn how we care for the grapes and our experience in wine making. We will also tell you about the history of the estate, which dates back to before the 1700s and is linked to the Strozzi family.

You will then explore our ancient cellars and learn about the requirements and special techniques used to create our wines. Afterwards, you can practice your wine tasting skills by discovering our organic Chianti Rufina DOCG and Riserva wines, accompanied by an assortment of local cold cuts and cheeses.

WINE & TUSCAN SPECIALITIES
The complete wine and food tour is an informative and unique experience for each estate. It begins with an introduction to the history of the estate as you walk through the vineyards. You will also learn about our organic production methods and the natural maintenance of our vines.

Then you will discover the Villa Strozzi and our symbol, the ‘Cedro’, an almost three hundred year old cedar of Lebanon. Finally, we will show you the needs and requirements of our organic wine making, the cellars where you can enjoy a welcome glass of Chianti. Finally, in the evening we will organise a sensory experience: a dinner with Tuscan food and our organic wines.

TASTING OLD VINTAGES
A unique wine collection for the pleasure of the taste buds. Wines improve with age and Fattoria Lavacchio is no exception. This is a unique opportunity to discover the history of the estate by tasting outstanding vintages told by our ambassadors.

Whether you are an experienced taster or a beginner, we invite you to savour our selection of organic wines, including our PURO range without added sulphite. Through this opening to the different vintages, you will be able to understand more about the world of Fattoria Lavacchio, the imprint of its terroir, the climatic influence and the vinification of our wines.

WINE WORKSHOP
Discover the art of winemaking with a one-hour workshop in our organic winery. You will learn about the wine making process, from the harvesting of the grapes to the bottling and ageing of the wines, as you follow our expert guide through the cellar. Afterwards, you can put your new knowledge to the test by making your own blend and leave with a bottle of your own wine.

GOURMET
Cookery classes, truffle gathering or vine safaris, discover a land of flavors, expertise and culinary treasures. Enhance your gastronomic culture and sharpen your skills, the Tuscan cuisine will no longer hold any secrets from you.

TUSCAN COOKING CLASS
Our chef reveals all the secrets of Tuscan cuisine. Like the rest of Fattoria Lavacchio, the cooking class uses only local and organic products. After collecting your ingredients from the garden, you will learn how to prepare fresh handmade pasta, seasonal vegetables and local meats, followed by the dessert of the moment.

You will be able to taste your dishes accompanied by our organic wines. From November to January, we also offer introductory courses in charcuterie to discover the art of prosciutto, salami and much more.

VINEYARD SAFARI
On our tour, you’ll indulge your senses with a fun and fascinating day of eating, drinking and admiring the Tuscan landscape in an off-road vehicle. Fasten your seatbelt, the roads are a bit bumpy but the views are breathtaking!

Hold on to your seat as you drive through the most incredible landscapes: you’ll literally be in the middle of the vineyards in a vintage Land Rover in one of the world’s most famous wine regions! After the tour, you will enjoy a picnic in the vineyards to taste delicious Tuscan snacks and taste our organic wines.

TRUFFLE HUNTING
Our woods have a delicious fragrance that is released from March to May and from October to November. This scent is that of the underground truffle that grows between the roots of our oaks.

We offer you the opportunity to participate in a real treasure hunt for this precious tuber, accompanied by an expert guide and his truffle dogs specially trained to detect the tubers appreciated for their delicate aroma and taste.

It all starts with a warm welcome and an introduction to this much sought-after tuber before setting off to find it while discovering the Tuscan countryside. It is not only for those who like to grow, but is an exciting way to get in touch with Tuscan nature.

After the hunt, a moment of rest, then lunch will be themed around the truffle harvested in the morning, fresh pasta with grated truffle, a truffle main course and even a truffle dessert! All of this will be accompanied by the organic wines of the Fattoria Lavacchio to enjoy a hearty meal.

HORSE RIDING
Rejuvenate yourself by riding through the hills of Montefiesole. A wonderful opportunity to awaken your senses as you discover our vineyards, olive groves, through fragrant cypress forests or admire ancient castles and monasteries.

For beginners, we offer riding lessons to practice and gain confidence in your horse before you start your adventure in the Tuscan countryside before starting the adventure in the Tuscan countryside. Children under 10 years of age can also ride ponies in lessons held at the riding centre.

CERAMIC CLASS
Our ceramics course is a unique experience and an opportunity not to be missed! Adults and children can show their creative side and become true craftsmen. First you will be introduced to the origins and uses of the art of maiolica.

Then, the ceramist, a famous local craftsman, will teach you the techniques and secrets to make your own piece that will express your uniqueness. After trying out the rolling technique used by the Etruscans, you can choose an object and decorate it.

OLIVE OIL & WINDMILL TOUR
Visit the organic olive groves and the unique windmill designed by Leonardo Da Vinci. It has been renovated to produce the estate’s flour and to give you the unique feeling of going back 2 centuries.

The tour includes a walk through the olive groves, an introduction to Tuscan olive oil traditions and a guided tour of the windmill and its history and operation. Finally, you will have an olive oil tasting lesson where you will learn the characteristics of a good extra virgin olive oil.

COUNTRYSIDE ESCAPE
It is a full day of instructive, rich and tasty activities. You’ll get a great taste of what a stay at Fattoria Lavacchio is all about! The day begins with a guided tour of the vineyards and cellars of the estate to learn about our organic production and how we care for our vineyards and environment.

We will show you the specific needs and requirements of our wine production, focusing on the characteristics of each grape variety. You will visit the windmill and be introduced to the production of extra virgin olive oil.

The tour will be followed by a gourmet lunch accompanied by four of our organic wines. After lunch (May to September), you will have the opportunity to take a dip in the swimming pool and relax under the olive trees of the estate.

Then you will visit the ceramics workshop to discover the authentic and original pottery of Tuscan artisans. Afterwards, you can choose between a ceramics course and create your own bowls, plates and vases or take a two-hour horseback ride through the Tuscan hills (minimum age 10 years).
