Hotel Dei Mellini was designed by famous architect Harry Gregory, who adapted the style and philosophy of the era of King Umberto. Many changes have been made to the hotel over the years and these are reflected today in its unique style and flair.

The lobby, like the bar and outdoor patio, are elegant places where you can enjoy a drink and aperitif with friends. Here you can admire works of art by Schifano, Montanarini, Delaunay and many others.

Terrazza Mellini is available in the summer months for private events, like cocktails and candlelight dinners.  The gym looks out over the Terrazza and the rooftops of Rome.

ROOMS & SUITES
Our 80 rooms are on six floors. There are singles, superior doubles, deluxe doubles, junior suites and suites, all with an elegant interior design featuring warm colours and a refined contemporary Italian flair. All the rooms at Hotel Dei Mellini are very spacious and are sound proof.

All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, TV Lcd, a safe for your PC with built-in battery charger, an iPod docking station (only in suites), direct dial telephone, independent control of air conditioning/heating, a minibar, large desk, Carrara marble bathroom with phone and personalized amenities kit.

SUITE
Enjoy the spaciousness of these 37 sqm suites. Located on every floor of the hotel , they look out over the inner courtyard. Quiet and welcoming with orange, beige and green interiors, they have a large double bedroom, a desk and plenty of space for your personal effects, ample drawers, and a closet in the adjacent hallway.

The living room has a sofa bed with a French mattress, a big table on which you can enjoy our room service breakfast in the privacy of your room (on request) when you wake up in the morning. There are two bathrooms, one for the double room and one for the living room, each with bathrobes and amenity kits especially designed for Hotel dei Mellini.

Several small special touches distinguish your stay in the suite: you will be welcomed with Spumante and, if you so request, your housekeeper will be glad to help you unpack your luggage for you.

If requested, and depending on availability, families with two children of up to 6 years of age (who can sleep on the 120 x 193 cm sofa bed) can request this comfortable solution for their stay.

FAMILY ROOM (7 PEOPLE)
Approx. 80 sqm (861 sqf) – 3 Bedrooms joined together by a little corridor and one single external door. 3 rooms connected to each other by a small corridor, closed by a single external door, ensure your privacy and will allow you to stay in a large space. The best solution to accommodate your family or group of friends, up to 7 people!

Each room has a double bed, one also with sofa bed, a bathroom, a wide choice of pillows and a special feather eiderdown moves over your mattress to make it even more comfortable, some with a small balcony.

At your disposal US plugs, free tea /coffee set with kettle. All bathrooms are tastefully furnished with Carrara marble, bathrobes and complimentary toiletries customized to the Hotel dei Mellini.

FAMILY ROOM (4 PEOPLE)
These rooms measure 28 sqm and are ideal for accommodating up to four adults. You will be delighted with the size and peace and quiet of this room. It has a double bed (or twin beds on request) and a two single beds. All of these rooms look out over the city, and some have a balcony. The colours of the family room make it lively and elegant at the same time.

The room comes equipped with a coffee and tea making facilities, and the Carrara marble bathroom has a bathtub, bathrobes, and amenity kits especially designed for Hotel dei Mellini. If available, and upon request, guests can request communication room: a double with a single and a suite with a double.

SUPERIOR ROOM
These 25 sqm rooms have lovely colours that will help you relax comfortably. They are furnished with understated elegance and feature ample closet space and drawers to store all your personal effects. You can request this room type with twin beds and it is also available for the physically challenged.

DINING
Our cafeteria-style dining room is open every day until midnight offering meals to meet every need, and our Chefs are constantly updating their Mediterranean cuisine.

MEETING & BANQUETS
Hotel dei Mellini is known for its high service levels and respect for privacy. The many meetings that take place at the Mellini are always handled with the highest quality service standards that ensure every single detail is looked after with exquisite care.

Hotel dei Mellini is located in the city center just 5 minutes walking to the main shopping street so after your long day of work you can enjoy Rome and have some relax.

Our meeting facilities are also used for fashion sample shows, training seminars and art exhibits. The rooms available are Sala Mellini and Sala Clementi (both with natural light but, when needed, completely darkened). Both are located on the ground floor.

In the cafeteria, as in the inner patio, business lunches or an aperitif for up to 70 people can be organised. During summer months, Terrazza Mellini is the ideal place for banquets, outdoor cocktails or private parties and… why not… even outdoor meetings to enjoy the lovely weather that blesses this city.

TRAJAN’S MARKET & FORUM
The Trajan Market, with its arcades and negotiation rooms, is an ingenious structure partly built to support the ground under the Quirinale, alongside which they had dug to construct the Imperial Fora, to which the city’s public life was transferred. Here you can still see the where the boutiques once flourished and the rooms in which Imperial business was conducted.

PALATINE HILL
A walk around the oldest private homes of Rome and the Domus Augustana, the residence of emperors.

ROMAN FORUM
The political, economic and religious centre of ancient Rome, it is the seat of temples, courthouses and other buildings where public and private affairs were conducted.

COLOSSEUM
This is Ancient Rome’s most important monument, it is where the bloody battles between gladiators and ferocious animals took place. It was also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre and could seat fifty thousand spectators on four levels.

MAXXI
MAXXI stands for the National Museum of the XXI Century Arts and was designed by the famous Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, who was tasked with promoting the arts of the XXI century, collecting and preserving a heritage representative of current artistic innovation.

There are actually 2 parts to MAXXI: MAXXI art and MAXXI architecture, with common space and resources for various activities such as exhibitions, live events, productions and experimental arts. There are also shops and entertainment space. MAXXI is located in the Flaminio district of Rome. It is a massive public works with innovative and spectacular architecture.

ALTAR OF AUGUSTAN PEACE
Recently restored by the world-famous architect Richard Meier, the New Altar of Augustan Peace is a monumental altar commissioned in the 13th century BC and consecrated in the 9th century BC to celebrate the peace established in the Roman Empire by Augustus.

Meier has given it a new conceptual vision and it has remained an imposing and authoritative ancient monument now enveloped in a glass casing that is, in itself, a work of modern art.
