LOCATION

JUNIOR SUITE WITH SEA VIEW
Delightfully decorated in the Sardinian style with beautiful pastel colours, our Junior Suite provide the ideal backdrop to your holiday in Sardinia. Every Suite comes complete with its own furnished terrace, from which you will feel you can reach out and touch the island of Tavolara as you re-charge your batteries by the sea.

You will then find the same colours in the interiors, thanks to the wonderful plays of light created by the sun as it shines its warm light between the vegetation and the colourful furnishings.

The Junior Suites are open-space rooms, with a double bed, a lounge area with two sofas and a large, modern bathroom, complete with shower. Sleeps: 2 adults + 2 children up to the age of 12. Beds: 1 double bed + 2 single sofa beds.

FAMILY ROOM WITH SEA VIEW
Our Family rooms are the most spacious of those available to our guests, and are exceptionally comfortable for families of up to 4 people. Immersed in the greenery, they even come complete with a little private terrace that affords an enchanting glimpse of the sea. Internally, they feature a living room area with two single sofa beds and a double bedroom, both equipped with an LCD TV.

The furnishings are very much in the Sardinian style, with colourful details, warm, soft lighting and a very unusual fireplace, which although no longer in use, remains an integral part of the architecture of the room and the family atmosphere it exudes. Sleeps: 2 adults + 2 children up to the age of 12. STANDARD ROOM
Our Standard rooms are located at the entrance to the extensive grounds that play host to the hotel, surrounded by vegetation, 300 meters away from the main building of the hotel. The rooms, decked out in full Sardinian style, create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and even offer a little terrace integrated into the garden, that overlook the hotel’s private road.

In contrast, the bathroom is very modern and includes a shower, while the terrace come complete with a table and chairs, allowing you to make the most of your evenings nestling in the natural surroundings.

DINING
An exclusive location where guests can savour exquisite delicacies either in the large veranda overlooking the sea, or enjoy a quick lunch at the pool side: welcome to the Restaurants of Hotel Don Diego.

Dinner is served in the elegantly sophisticated Costa Dorata Restaurant, while lunch is served in the smarter and more informal atmosphere of the Grill Restaurant; in both cases the menu offers unique, refined cuisine. Our restaurants offer a rich menu of delicious gourmet dishes, all prepared with healthy, genuine and top-quality ingredients.

COSTA DORATA RESTAURANT
Dinner is served on the magnificent veranda of the Costa Dorata Restaurant from which you can admire the glistening, multi-coloured sea around Tavolara island.

The restaurant, which is also open to external guests, offers a superb selection of the finest foods, with the delicious dishes of the new gourmet menu: a triumph of flavours and scents of our island with dishes created exclusively for the Costa Dorata Restaurant and skilfully created by our own cooks. For dinner, we are glad to offer to all our guest also a daily half board menù.

GRILL RESTAURANT
Take a break from swimming and enjoy a tasty lunch in the Grill Restaurant by the pool side with a sea view. Choose from light and delicious traditional Italian meals and grilled meat or fish, to be enjoyed outdoors, all prepared to the highest standard. On the terrace on the up-floor you can have lunch with the same menù a la carte of dinner.

BREAKFAST BAR
Sweet and savoury, fruits of the sea and of the land, sliced for you there and then (such as our wonderful Parma ham), dairy products, pastries and Italian coffee will ensure you start the day in the best possible fashion as you admire the spectacle with which nature gifts us every morning.

And, since we are convinced that breakfast is the most important moment of the day, we have decided to make it available right up to 10.30am, so that you won’t miss out even if you like to sleep in of a morning. Breakfast served from: 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.

POOL BAR
At our pool side bar, tasty snacks are served all day long. Choose from sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, pizza slices and ‘focaccia’ (kind of flat bread), or delicious desserts including tiramisu and home-made ice cream. Open from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

AMERICAN BAR
Our American Bar offers a wide selection of cocktails and digestive liqueurs and after-dinner aperitifs and drinks, and provides a cosy atmosphere for moon-lit evenings with superb live music. Open from 6:30 p.m. to midnight.

PRIVATE BEACH
If you’re looking for a peaceful, secluded place in which to re-charge your batteries after frenetic, tiring winter, you’ve come to the right place. Hotel Don Diego has the good fortune to be located right on the shore and can thus offer its guests a wonderful bay with a view over the islands of Tavolara and Molara.

Our private beach is equipped with parasols, sun loungers and a convenient snack bar. It is located right next to the hotel, and can easily be reached on foot, allowing you to take advantage of it at any time of day.

The sand is granitic in origin, and its colour is reminiscent of the rocks that surround it. The sea is crystal-clear, with a thousand undertones, ranging from turquoise to emerald green, as only a marine protected area can.

PANORAMIC SWIMMING POOL
Right across from the main complex of the hotel, you are sure to be enchanted by our swimming pool: a relaxing oasis surrounded by vegetation, from which can you savour an evocative sea view as you lie out comfortably on the sun loungers.

A valid alternative for those who prefer it to the beach, the swimming facilities include two pools filled with sea water, a wealth of sun loungers with parasols, and outdoor showers, all set in a quiet, charming context. At the edge of the pool, our pool bar is open from 10.00am to 6.30pm, and offers snack, grills and light lunches.

Thanks to our partnership with the Mare Azzurro Snc company, from this year we are offering our guests all of the facilities of a bona fide diving centre, with a dedicated information point. The highly qualified, multilingual staff will be on hand to provide you with everything you need to let you dip your proverbial toe in the water!

In this way, you can discover the wonders of the seabed of the Marine Protected Area of Tavolara-Punta Coda Cavallo, diving or snorkelling surrounded by fish of all types. You can also sign up for the sub-aqua courses laid on for adults and children alike. Already a confident diver? Great!

You can hire all of the equipment you require and visit some of the most stunning dive sites in the whole of the Mediterranean. You can also hire inflatables without a sailing licence, to allow you to visit the breathtaking beaches and little islands that make Sardinia so magical.

Moreover, in the vicinity of the hotel you have the opportunity to frequent one of the local windsurfing schools. The particular shape of the gulf and the favourable wind exposure make this location ideal both for beginners and accomplished windsurfers.

TENNIS
