From the grandeur of our famous façade to the outstanding views from our rooftop restaurant, Hotel Eden’s style and elegance provides a beautiful backdrop for your photos. Discover some of our guests’ favourite Instagram-worthy settings.

The majestic entrance at Hotel Eden, where so many famous faces and prominent names have passed through our doors, is one of our Instagram highlights. The impeccably dressed doormen and the distinctive Art Nouveau canopy both make regular appearances on social media.

Our classic Roman exterior is a well-known symbol of the city. At sunset, the light makes the ochre hue even more vivid and trees from the surrounding historic villas cast wonderful shadows.

Capturing this on camera is a game of patience but we promise it’s worth the wait. The special ‘golden hour’ light will really make your photos stand out from the crowd. Your view from Il Giardino Bar rooftop surpasses all others Roman terraces, both public and private. Located at our 6th floor, this is the place to be.

Treat yourself to one of our creative cocktails and relax in a scenic spot where the view is the undisputed star of the show. From the Vittoriano all the way to Villa Malta, snap amazing images to delight your followers.

Inspired by the lush greenery of the nearby Villa Borghese, our leaf wall designed by Jouin Manku is fast gaining a great reputation as a cool backdrop amongst in-the-know Instagrammers. Over 500 carefully crafted metal and glass leaves make up the wall, providing an artistic alternative to the cityscape at Il Giardino Bar.

The elegance of our bathrooms is something we get a lot of comments on, thanks to the exquisite sheen of the pearly marble, large mirrors, bold brass touches and Bisazza mosaics. Many guests believe that they are too good not to share with others online and we couldn’t agree more.

One of our guests’ favourite ways to start their day is by taking photos of their delicious breakfast at Hotel Eden. Our wonderfully talented team are experts at setting up a picture perfect breakfast table or feel free to style it your way. Fresh juices are great for adding a splash of colour and our freshly made pasties always get a great reaction.

Behind your bed you’ll find a picturesque peacock design. These eye-catching birds were often mentioned in ancient Roman mythology as a symbol of protection and renewal. We like to think this helps guests get a wonderful night’s sleep but they also capture people’s attention in photos.

These stairs are tucked away but well worth discovering. Look down from a height to take a shot like this one or look above and discover a surprise feature on the ceiling that we think will inspire a few more photos. Look out for ‘The Stairs of the Stars’, located on the fifth and sixth floors.

You’ll be amazed to see just some of the many celebrities who have visited us over the years. From Federico Fellini to Ingrid Bergman, you’ll find lots of familiar faces and with a selfie shot you can star alongside them! The suite balconies on the fifth floor are a popular place from which to admire the sun as it rises or sets over the Eternal City.

APERITIF
It’s a simple idea – both a drink and an event – a ritual to welcome the evening, a time to share with friends, a moment to celebrate the start of whatever may follow. The chance to raise a glass to life.

Aperitivo is a glorious couple of hours in which to relax, Italian style, over a glass of something and some snacks. Since most Italians eat their evening meal at around 9pm, it’s also a good way to start revving up an appetite for dinner at one of our restaurants.

THE TERRACE
Our Michelin-starred fine dining experience with equally spectacular views. Chef Fabio Ciervo utilises Rome’s bounty of fresh produce and herbs in his bold and native cuisine. This extraordinary Rome restaurant is a reminder of why Italy is one of the world’s great food destinations. Exquisite ingredients, beautifully prepared. An unforgettable experience.

The experience begins when you step out of the lift. Your eyes take a moment to adjust to the darkened restaurant lobby, you turn the corner and… the most spectacular view of Rome bursts into life. When three great chefs come together, something amazing happens.

We’re delighted to work with Angelo Musa, executive pastry chef at Hôtel Plaza Athénée, who teams up with our own Ezio Redolfi and Fabio Ciervo to create a showstopping dessert menu. The former World Pastry Champion and Meilleur Ouvrier de France brings his Parisian flair to Rome for seasonal desserts worth saving room for.

IL GIARDINO RESTAURANT
To know the story of Rome and its people you only have to look at a typical menu. Il Giardino serves up classic Italian food and healthy options with our own twist, and incredible views from this rooftop destination restaurant.

Embrace the sweet life, the culture of a city that prioritises family and friends over work. Stay a while to enjoy the simplest things – a plate of proper Roman cacio e pepe pasta, courgette blossoms stuffed with ricotta and taleggio, and the astonishing view.

Il Giardino Ristorante offers the best of Rome in one place. You’ll experience authentic Italian warmth and cuisine presented with the skill and artistry of true five-star service – and a view to rival any in Rome.

From our wonderful location on the Pincian Hill, Rome awaits your gaze. Il Giardino’s huge windows provide a mesmerising horizon stretching from the dramatic Il Vittoriano and the majesty of St Peters to the grand Villa Medici and stately Borghese gardens. But this view is so much more than a roll-call of history. This view proudly introduces a seductive, lively city. This is Rome; full of life.

IL GIARDINO BAR
A favourite meeting place loved by locals and those in the know. Settle in, watch out for a spectacular sunset, listen to music and make a night of it. Let us serve you a sensory journey with our expertly crafted cocktails, created to celebrate the beauty of the Eternal City.

Try the rose-hued La Grande Bellezza, which captures the warmth of a Roman sunset, or savour the autumn-inspired Ricordi di Roma at aperitivo hour. From our wonderful location on the Pincian Hill, Rome awaits your gaze.

THE LIBRARY
An elegant sitting room offering time to read, chat, meet, think or just be. Tuck yourself away in a corner of this salon surrounded by Italian art and design, with plenty of books to peruse over coffee. Immerse yourself in a world of art and culture at La Libreria, where you’ll find regular workshops, exhibitions and a curated collection of books.

Thanks to Italian fashion illustrator, Andrea Ferolla, you’ll also spot our exclusive artworks and unique illustrated lampshades. Balancing out La Terrazza’s fine dining and Il Giardino’s airy elegance, La Libreria is true personal service in a warm and refined space.

A sitting room of unusual elegance positioned above the dynamic lobby, La Libreria is beautifully placed for popping in at any time of day. Here you can feel part of bustling hotel life or tuck yourself away in a quiet corner.

BORGHESE ROOM
An extraordinary space, sophisticated and versatile. The dramatic red walls and wonderful artwork create a memorable room for any event from a beautiful dinner to an elegant boardroom.

Stepping through the mirrored doors feels like stepping into a glamorous new world where anything is possible. Here classic Italian design colours every corner, but also discreetly holds the technology required for the most modern business needs.

Thoughtfully positioned to avoid the main public spaces, Sala Borghese can be as private or open as you choose. We can extend your reach into the graceful Foyer, or ensure utter solitude. The choice is yours. Wonderful weddings, great parties, important meetings and milestone events. With its bold and unique design, this room is perfect for them all.

THE EDEN SPA
This is no ordinary spa. Within our warm vaulted hideaway you’ll experience truly personal, customised relaxation. Your own suite, your own bathroom, your own sanctuary.

VITALITY MEI RITUAL FACE & BODY
Gently ease into this aromatic ritual with MEI Abbraccio essence, which immediately relaxes you, before a soothing head-to-toe exfoliation and massage. Next, enjoy the restorative powers of a MEI facial with a high concentration of active ingredients, including hyaluronic acid and colloidal silver to help skin regeneration and give a boost of vitality. The result? A fresh, radiant complexion.

ROSE GOLD RADIANCE TREATMENT
A skin-perfecting mask which, thanks to the Moroccan red clay, improves skin texture. Hyaluronic acid, shea butter, pro vitamin B5 and lactic acid work together to refine, brighten and perfect the skin.

LA DOLCE VITA
Let yourself be delighted by the pure essence of orange, with Mei Italian citrus essential oils. The treatment begins with an invigorating body scrub and massage with sweet orange oil and cream to leave skin beautifully smooth and soft, before finishing with a warm shower with sweet orange and tangerine gel to delight your senses. To finish, enjoy a chilled glass of prosecco with orange-inspired treats prepared by our executive chef.

STEAM BATH
Our warm steam bath is the ultimate comfort, which can be enjoyed in the privacy of your spa suite. The immersive experience includes colourful chromotherapy and fragrant aromatherapy to indulge your senses, leaving you feeling wonderfully pampered and relaxed.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
Our hotel is shaped by the remarkable people who walk through our doors. Twice a month we welcome fashion illustrator Andrea Ferolla as our first artist in residence, who captures the hotel’s unique spirit through a series of thoughtful observational drawings.

MEET, LEARN DISCOVER
The Eternal City invites endless exploration. Let us show you our favourite ways to experience the hotel and beyond, from pizza-making with our chef to exclusive history tours of Rome.

CHEZ DEDE
Chez Dédé is a concept store in the heart of Rome, which carries a beautifully curated collection of treasures from around the world, and original pieces created by artist and co-founder Andrea Ferolla. Here you’ll find a blend of fashion, art, furniture, design, jewellery, books and vintage gems.

SANTA MARIA AI MONTI
Commissioned by Pope Gregory XIII in the 16th century, Santa Maria ai Monti is one of Rome’s most stunning examples of baroque architecture. Don’t miss the frescoes in the dome of the four evangelists, by Cristoforo Casolani.

VILLA TORLONIA
The main building was designed in the early 19th century by Giuseppe Valadier, one of the most important architects of the time who shaped the image of Rome. Frescoes line the walls, and elegant crystal chandeliers hang from the ceilings.

SALUMERIA ROSCIOLI
Salumeria Roscioli was opened in 2005 by the Roscioli family, famous for their bakery Antico Forno Roscioli (also well worth a visit). This is a very popular restaurant in the centre of town, so make sure you book several days ahead for lunch and dinner. Once there, enjoy their spectacular selection of cured meats, cheeses and local pasta specials.

MADRE ROMA
Madre is a sprawling garden terrace in the middle of Rome specialising in Italian and South American dishes such as pizza, ceviche and tacos. A fun place to relax with friends or enjoy a summer’s evening.

SANTO PALATO
Situated off the beaten track in San Giovanni you’ll find Santo Palato, a new trattoria to the area, serving Italian classics with a modern twist. It’s the perfect spot for a local date, and chef Sarah’s take on the carbonara alone is worth the trip.

PALAZZO DEL QUIRINALE
Built in the 16th century as the papal summer residence for Pope Gregory XIII, this palace is now the official residence of the President of the Italian Republic.

ALTARE DELLA PATRIA
Completed in 1925, Altare della Patria is a vast monument built in honour of Victor Emmanuel, the first king of unified Italy. It’s referred to locally as ‘the typewriter’ or ‘the wedding cake’.

VILLA MALTA
This imposing 16th century villa was built as a private residence for the Balì de Breteuil, ambassador for the Order of Malta, hence its name.

TRINITA’ DEI MONTI
Commissioned by King Louis XII of France, Trinità dei Monti is a beautiful 16th century church overlooking the nearby Spanish Steps and famous Piazza di Spagna.

ST PETER’S BASILICA
Located in Vatican City, this celebrated Renaissance era basilica is one of the largest churches in the world and regularly hosts the pope. It’s widely regarded as the greatest building of its age.

ITALIAN ISLAND ADVENTURE
Turn your stay into a Mediterranean dream with a day exploring the crystal clear waters and dramatic coastline of two little islands near Lazio: Ponza and Palmarola. After a helicopter ride to your yacht, you’ll sail around the islands before returning to the hotel for a three-course dinner at rooftop Il Giardino Ristorante.

THE HIDDEN TREASURES OF MAXXI
A museum’s most important space is often the one no one ever visits: the storeroom, where precious pieces are kept when not on display.

This unique experience unlocks access to the MAXXI underground vaults, where you’ll be guided by an art historian and a conservation expert who restores the artworks. You’ll also enjoy the exciting moment the artworks come out of their cases to return to the exhibition halls.

TAKE THE ROAD
For a driving experience like no other, hop into a classic Italian Fiat 124 Spider convertible and head out to explore the beautiful Roman countryside.

For your Secret Tuscia itinerary, you’ll head north of Rome through verdant hills, winding roads and picturesque medieval villages to discover the spooky sculptures at the Sacro Bosco, also known as the ‘Park of the Monsters’, in Bomarzo. For lunch you’ll stop at a lovely country estate for a farm-to-table meal.

THE LOST ART OF DRESS MAKING
André Laug is an authentic high fashion atelier that continues to make every dress by hand. For a closer look at what goes on behind the scenes, join expert shopper Barbara Lessona on a visit to the atelier and laboratory, hosted by longstanding employee countess Laura della Croce.

UNEARTHING THE SECRETS OF ROME
Rome is full of ancient treasures, but perhaps the most eerie of its sites is the catacombs, hidden deep underground. Together with an archaeologist, you’ll enjoy a private after-hours tour of the labyrinthine passageways, learning fascinating stories along the way.
