ELISABETH ROOM
Mmmm, this fragrance. It calms me down right away. I didn’t know that the essential oil of the stone pine saved the heart some work. As a result, we sleep more peacefully, have a lower heart rate during physical as well as mental stress, are less sensitive to changes in the weather and recover more quickly (according to a Joanneum Research Study).

The stone pine fascinates me. Thanks to the warm earthy tones in the room, I feel immediately safe and secure. Now, I’m letting the water flow over me in the large glass shower… and all is well. But the impressive motif on the canvas picture behind the bed draws me outside straight away. I start by opening the window wide.

RESIDENZ ROOM
We follow the receptionist to the 4th floor of the Residenz. They carry our suitcase even higher up a small staircase. Once at the top, there are just two rooms next to each other. It is just us here. That’s exactly what I wanted. From the French balcony, I can look over the entire hotel (to the north or south).

Although the spa area is just a few steps away, we enjoy the glorious bathtub and from there, the view of the starry sky. This tower location on the edge of the forest is probably the most beautiful room in the entire hotel. Before we go out to eat under candlelight, we collapse into the cosy couch and enjoy the twilight.

DINING
Take a handful of honest ingredients and combine them in such a way that what belongs together comes together: The result is then a classic gourmet dish that you can enjoy during your holiday in the Kitzbühel Alps.

We prefer to treat your tastebuds with products that come from our own farm, from our show dairy, or as close as possible. We always like it original and close to nature, but especially in the kitchen.

TOBOGGANING
Tobogganing is the winter sport of the generations. Around Kirchberg in Tirol, several natural toboggan runs wind down from the mountains into the valley, also directly opposite our hotel. A chairlift takes you to the Gaisberg, from where you can cruise back down the 3.5 km into the valley – also with floodlights at night!

RUNNING 
23 circuits. Precise information on length and difficulty. And always new destinations. The marked routes from KitzRunning are a paradise for walkers and runners. At times over soft forest floors, sometimes over gravel paths, the trail leads to the idyllic Schwarzsee lake, along the rippling Kirchberger Ache river or over the hills towards Aschau.

CLIMBING & MOUNTAINEERING
Conquer new heights and get a taste of freedom. From the breezy via ferrata to the tricky indoor route, a number of vertical challenges await you in the Brixental Valley. We recommend the Kletterwald Hornpark climbing forest in St. Johann in Tyrol for families, and the Sportpark Kitzbühel for indoor climbers.

ARCHERY
Roam through the woods like Robin Hood and hit the bull’s eye. Something else you can look forward to doing, as four archery courses are just an arrow shot away. Once a week there is a training session at the Bockern course in Kirchberg; our reception team will be happy to book you a place.

Four hikes in winter and five in summer, one of them to our Kasplatzl show dairy, are a fixed feature of the free weekly programme. The programme also includes guided bike tours, visits to our Scherrhof farm as well as summer activities especially for children.

Especially in nearby Kitzbühel and the surrounding area. From the Hahnenkamm Races on the Streif, to the Polo World Cup and the Austria Cycling Tour. In addition to sporting events that welcome you to join in the fun, there are regular fairs and church days, the Kitz Summer Nights and the Almfest in autumn. It’s really worth taking part!

BEST PLACES TO VISIT IN TYROL
Hotel Elisabeth is in the best position to enjoy Tyrol’s many activities for couples, families and solo travellers. A 30 to 60 minutes’ drive is enough to immerse yourself in the culture, history, nature and city life of Tyrol. From wildlife parks to bathing lakes to Alpine towns, there is so much to discover on a holiday in Kirchberg.

WILDPARK AURACH ANIMAL PARK
Among the things to do in Tyrol is certainly its largest outdoor enclosure. It is only a 25-minute drive from Kirchberg. 200 animal species have found an appropriate home here, from lynx, red deers and zebus down to rabbits, donkeys and goats in the petting stable. There are also plenty of opportunities for a little break, for example on the children’s playground or at the café and restaurant.

KUFSTEIN FORTRESS
Medieval, imposing and a popular venue for Tyrol’s events – like theatre, operetta and concert evenings: The Kufstein Fortress impresses, among other things, with the largest free-standing organ in the world. It is one of the most visited attractions in the area and is only half an hour away from Kirchberg.

BATHING IN NATURE
Tyrol offers many attractions for families: Schwarzsee in Brixental is considered one of the most beautiful bathing lakes in the Alpine region. It is particularly known for its pleasant temperatures. Another moor lake, the Gieringer Weiher, is also close by. The forest swimming pool Waldschwimmbad Jochberg is particularly popular with families as well.

SWAROVSKI KRISTALLWELTEN 
Definitely one of the best places to visit in Tyrol: the Swarovski Kristallwelten in Wattens. There, you will be greeted by a water-spouting stone giant. Inside, you will find sparkling chambers of wonder and multimedia experience stations. Visitors can learn lots of interesting facts about the world of crystals, their processing and use.

CITY TRIPS
In Kirchberg near Kitzbühel, the activities are truly many. But if you would like to go beyond, visit Munich to enjoy Weißwurst, see the Golden Roof in Innsbruck or the baroque old town of Salzburg. ALPINE FLOWER GARDEN
