The large fireplace in the hall is always lit, the rooms are furnished in dark wood with fine fabrics and are just waiting to welcome you. The spa with an indoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool and water games offers a delightful relax.

As the path curves round the Matterhorn, 2050 metres above sea level, a house of rock and stone stands amongst the larches. This typical mountain chalet radiates the distinctive protective minerality and heat of the high altitude refuges and provides a blissful and secluded stay, where time seems to stand still.

An intimate family atmosphere. The furniture, the work of local artisans, has the patina of age, the ornaments are antique; the precious silk fabrics are embroidered with classic designs; and on the walls, your gaze will be caught by one of the finest collections of paintings of the Matterhorn.

From the Matterhorn to Mount Rosa. “Endless White”. The most majestic peak of the Alps.The poet and English painter John Ruskin thought that the mountains were the beginning and the end of every natural setting and knew exactly which the noblest peak in Europe was.

The Matterhorn, which from its height of 4478 metres overshadows the Swiss and Italian alps with Zermatt to the north and Breuil-Cervinia to the south, is kissed by the sun.

We have chosen wood and fine fabrics, antique furniture, paintings and local artisan pieces for each of the rooms and suites. We have wanted to make available everything you need and make you feel perfectly at home to create a comfortable refuge, a private corner of peace and tranquillity with a breathtaking view of the beautiful mountains of the alpine arc.

Look out of the window in the evening and in the clear sky you will see a multitude of shining stars that frame the snow-capped peaks. You could go out on to the terrace.

MASTER SUITE
The ideal choice to enjoy the sunset on Plateau Rosa as you sip a cup of hot tea and eat a slice of freshly baked cake. Carpets, wooden paintings and sculptures by local artists. An open space designed to make your stay an unforgettable experience. Sofas, armchairs, writing desk and coffee table, a characteristic fireplace.

A walk-in wardrobe and a double bed together with a large bathroom with double hand basin in marble, whirlpool and separate shower. The terrace, which offers a panoramic view of the Matterhorn or Grande Murailles, completes and characterises our Master Suites in a precious and exquisite way.

LA CHANDELLE RESTAURANT
In the dining room, through the large bay windows, the Matterhorn joins the head waiter in watching over the excellent service. Purple and white linen tablecloths, antique silverware, refined crockery.

THE GARDEN
The warmth of summer. Immersed in nature, an enchanting place of rare beauty, the ideal location for a summer break.Tables on the terrace or on the lawn surrounded by the perfume of flowers and colours of the vegetable garden, a breathtaking view of the mountains.

A small chalet in which to sip a fresh aperitif or dedicate oneself to leisure, to reading. Sun beds and deck chairs with towels and cushions to sunbathe in comfort. A la carte and snack menus for a quick lunch, tasty and light.

THE WINE CELLAR
A cellar dug into rock and decorated by hand with local stone, perfect for an unforgettable tasting session. We have converted an ancient stone grotto into a small cellar to create an intimate and private location, full of charm and perfumes.

The best of national and international wine. More than 1000 labels, a menu put together and selected by Corrado Neyroz and his sommelier Simone Grange.

A careful choice which is renewed each year with the addition of new producers thanks to a particular search for small excellent wineries. Wines from all over Italy and from all over the world with a large selection of French, the best Italian wines and large formats. Wines per glass and water menu.

THE BREAKFAST
A breakfast ready when you are. We serve breakfast from early morning until 10:30 am, to cater for all needs. We look forward to meeting you in the large dining area with an espresso or a creamy warm cappuccino, whichever you prefer.

Both buffet style and à la carte breakfast menus are available. We choose first quality products selected with care and passion. Cakes, croissants and desserts are home-made. We prefer alpine butter, local yogurt, artisan marmalades and honey from the valley.

We offer a large selection of cheeses from local farms. The breakfast is completed by cold cuts and Parma ham, fresh white and black bread, with walnuts, figs and raisins, focaccia and grissini; egg and omelettes are prepared directly by the kitchen.

LOCAL PRODUCTS
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey: we start from the Aosta Valley with Fontina, a cheese which tells the history of an alpine territory, pastures and ancient production techniques.

We cross the Alps and descend into Piedmont with Castelmagno a strong flavoured cheese which is often paired with honey. Climbing back up, we pass the wineries and stock up on over 700 wines and home-made grappa.

WINTER ACTIVITIES
Alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, heli-skiing. Just 300 metres from the hotel, the Breuil-Cervinia ski resort is a spectacle of summits and exhilarated skiers flying down the mountain. Situated on the Southern face of the Matterhorn, bathed in constant sunshine, it is both one of the most beautiful, highest and largest in the world.

Its 360 km of slopes reach up to Klein Matterhorn, at 3900 metres, and carry experienced skiers to Valtournenche or Zermatt on the Swiss side, all the while giving them the rare privilege of never having to ski the same run twice.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES
In summer, this preserved nature returns to its roots. The golfers enjoy practising on 18 holes – the highest course in Italy and one of the highest in Europe.

Summer skiing on the Plateau Rosa. Sport excursions and mountain biking trips. Dodge the torrents and waterfalls amongst the mountain scenery, with ibex, chamois and marmots accompanying you on your walk.

Laze in the pastures, decorated seasonally with rhododendrons and edelweiss, or enjoy the sun’s warmth in the hotel grounds, with only the housedog to bring you back to reality, just in time for an aperitif.

GOLF
The project of the Architect Luigi Rota Caremoli unfolds in a natural landscape which is unique in the world, at the foot of Mount Matterhorn. The enlargement from 9 to 18 holes has marked a new beginning.

After 54 years of glorious history of the old course, opened in 1955, it is among the first fifteen golf courses in Italy affiliated to the Italian Golf Federation. The course, a PAR 69 of 5300 metres, makes the Golf Club of Cervino fully eligible to enter into the most important clubs of the Alps.
