LOCATION
Lech, the birthplace of Alpine skiing, is one of the world’s best-known skiing regions, yet it has lost none of its traditional winter sports charm. It is almost as if it has stepped out of time: naturally beautiful yet still vibrant and modern.

The natural landscape and the character of the village set Lech apart from most other ski resorts today and are likely to make for an even better holiday experience.

We recommend that you take your time and let Lech show you everything it has to offer. If you prefer, we will be happy to give you specific tips for your own personal journey of discovery through the old and the new.

ROOMS
This winter, we open the Kristiania only for our guests. We will only occupy every second room – for more space, more privacy and more service.

Enjoy the Kristiania by yourself, for the two or the three of you. On request, we also have interconnecting rooms and suites, the option to have a whole floor to yourself – or the entire Kristiania. Now as always prevails: The Kristiania is what you want it to be.

SUITES
Personal luxury and Austrian generosity. All our suites are inspired by the “Grand Tour” and our love for travel. Partly with open fireplace or balcony for a private “slow-down” after an active day in the Arlberg winter wonderland.

Stylishly appointed with antiques and contemporary art. Partly with walk-in closet. Bathroom with bathtub, shower and partly with separate WC, separate shower, gourmet kitchenette. For more space do ask for our 2 or 3 bedroom suites.

JUNIOR SUITES
Classic with alpine generosity, our most popular category.“ Alpine generosity with every comfort, for two or for three. Bed/sitting room with double bed or two single beds and a sitting area for a private breakfast. Some suites with walk-in closet. Bath with bath tub/shower, some with separate shower and separate WC, some with bidet.

DOUBLE ROOMS

THE RESTAURANT
Traditional regional cuisine meets hospitality in its purest form. Relaxed, easy-going, friendly, but very much in the here and now. Traditional Austrian dishes fused with contemporary lounge music.

We do recommend our surprise tasting menu á la Martin Schnitzer. The most elegant and ambitious of our culinary highlights, this is fine dining à la Kristiania. Here our chefs put all their skill and craftsmanship into creating inspired cuisine and a truly gourmet experience.

THE KAMINZIMMER
With a wood-burning fireplace, the Kaminzimmer provides a warm, cosy setting for enjoying Fondue specialities and Raclette.

We offer you daily the elegant Fondue Chinoise, a wonderful mixture of traditional alpine cuisine and Asian ease fuse, or as well the swiss classic Cheese-Fondue. Enjoy the finest cognacs, brandies and whiskies while gazing into the wood burning fieplace and a sea of candles.

THE ROTE BAR
This is the sophisticated setting for a relaxed chat, an elegant crafted cocktail or a creative taster of our cuisine. The magnificent sound of our Steinway grand piano accompanies you through the afternoon, framed by the uniquely inspiring view of the “Rote Wand” mountain.

The interior is artful, carefully composed, and inviting. Take coffee, afternoon tea, a Martini or a relaxed dinner (here we are talking about our famous Club Sandwich and other international food classics) and get to know the hotel and its guests from just one of the many pleasant sides of the Kristiania.

THE LOBBY “KLEINE HALLE”
Next to the reception area at the entrance to the Hotel, the Lobby Lounge is a quiet, relaxed meeting place warmed by view on Lech. It’s the perfect spot for a casual coffee, breakfast in the morning or an après-ski cocoa in the afternoon or a elegant dinner in lounge style in the evening.

From February to well beyond Easter, our sun terrace is the best place for a leisurely lunch, drink, tea or coffee in a magical setting. Out door dining at its best.

There is no better way to experience our exclusive cuisine than to book our stylish, contemporary dining rooms. They are perfect for private lunches, celebrations or private dinner parties in Lech. We believe that our beautiful mountains are the ideal place for exercise and fitness beneath a clear blue sky. We will be very happy give you personal advice or arrange for a private coach or fitness trainer. And since it’s also very pleasant indoors, we offer our guests indoor fitness options too.

We will be delighted to organize a personal training session with or without a coach. Either choose your exclusive 20-minute self-workout in the privacy of your room with a yoga mat and the appropriate instructions in a folder or exercise book.

Or train with Bernd, our personal fitness coach. He will accommodate your wishes, draw up an individual training program, and work out with you for a minimum 50-minute session. Whether you are a beginner or at an advanced fitness stage, everyone benefits.

For fans of cinema in the comfort of home. Enjoy a fully private and exclusive showing of the movie of your choice in our fireside lounge (Kaminzimmer). We will serve you with a flying buffet dinner, and provide you with drinks of your choice.

FAMILY EXPERIENCES
No matter how big your family is and how many years between the youngest and oldest in your party, the Kristiania Lech is a perfect holiday destination for everyone. We go above and beyond to make sure that your family can enjoy a carefree holiday without complications.

Our imaginative Kids’ Concierge is always at hand to look after the comforts of your family, to take reservations for family meals, to make suggestions for outings, or to organise a baby-sitter for you. Up to the age of ten, your children can generally enjoy breakfast and biscuits free of charge throughout the day – provided you allow it – during your entire stay.

We provide special child-sized bathrobes, towels, bed linen and children’s accessories (baby monitors, high chairs etc.) as well as children’s menus for meals served in your room or in the restaurant. The Kristiania has a small library of movies for children of different age groups.

During school holidays we hold special children’s film evenings, and on request, a fun kids’ minibar event. For the older kids, our Concierge is ready with all kinds of recommendations for a wide range of activities.

From our ‘sofa cinema’ to special snowboard group classes and fantastic outdoor adventures, your teenagers will find lots of entertaining things to do at the Kristiania and in Lech (and we take great pride in the fact that quite a few have rated both as ‘well cool’).

BABY-SITTING
We are happy to arrange a reliable baby-sitting service for your little ones. Let us know as early as possible (at least 24 hours in advance). Please note that we charge a separate hourly rate for this service.

KRISTIANIA KIDS
Kristiania Kids offers a variety of activities to help your youngsters appreciate life and skiing in the Austrian Alps.

As well as the ski school, we also provide a Ski Nanny service and a seven-day kids’ programme, offering adventures such as trekking and watching wildlife, or a visit to a mountain farm. We will be happy to tell you about the opportunities available, and what they cost.

KRISTIANIA SKI NANNY
Our Ski Nanny will accompany your children from the hotel to the ski school, and after class take them back to the hotel, then look after them for a while as they enjoy tasty warming après-ski snacks, and perhaps listen to a few stories from the mountain.

KIDS CONCIERGE
Our Kids’ Concierge will be happy to suggest some ideas for children’s activities (building a snowman, snowball fights, feeding the wild animals, sleigh rides etc.) on the snow, and will draw up a programme for the whole family, entirely suited to your wishes and needs.
