Azuga is a mountain resort located at the foot of the Bucegi mountains in the Prahova Valley at 993m altitude. It boasts the first ski slope in Romania approved by the International Ski Federation – the Sorica slope: length 2100m, medium difficulty, level difference of 561m, night lighting installation and the most modern artificial snow installation.
Other easily accessible slopes are Cazacu, Cazacu variant, Cazacu bretea, Sorica Sud, La Stâna and other cross-country and hiking slopes, as well as a snowboard trail, located in the vicinity of the Cazacu slope equipped with a modern cable car and systems of ski lifts, mini ski lifts and babyski.
