Marina Riviera Hotel is situated in a central position, just few meters far from the Cathedral Square, in a building on the sea of beginning 900. The hotel enjoys of an exceptional view on the Amalfi coast, and it is managed from the Gargano’s, that provide to make your holiday unforgettable.
Marina Riviera has 34 rooms, standard, deluxe, junior suite e suite, all in Mediterranean style. The rooms are equipped with private bathroom, air conditioning, Sat TV, direct phone, minibar, hair dryer, personal safe, and have a fantastic view on the sea and Amalfi’s bay.
A splendid terrace on the sea is at your disposal, where you can admire the coast drinking a glass of regional wine. In the morning, on the terrace is served the delicious buffet breakfast with many local dishes.
Clients can enjoy the sun on our solarium, fully equipped with sun beds and umbrellas. We also suggest our gourmet restaurant “Eolo”, situated in the same building of the hotel and managed from the same family, for refined typical local dishes & a large selection of wines (Italian & World-wide labels). THE HISTORY
During the XIX century Amalfi and the good kitchen of “Zi Ninetta” (Miss Anna Proto) attracted a lot of travelers from all Europe. At that time, when the coast was destination of the “Gran Tour”, the Hotel “Riviera” was one of the preferred hotels of Tourists.
The large kitchen and the room restaurant with terrace on the sea occupied the main floor, and on the second floor there were just few rooms and only 2 bathrooms. The property was Family Proto, that rented the Hotel “Riviera” to the family Gambardella and then to the family Lucibello.
One of the nieces of the owner, married the Lawyer Gargano Francesco that inherited the Hotel and changed the name in to Hotel “Marina Riviera”. When Francesco Gargano died, his son, Antonio Gargano (actual owner) inherited the Marina Riviera Hotel and in 1971 re-opened whit 16 rooms.
Since 1972 Antonio begun a careful restructuring of the building, with particular attention to the modernization and the comfort of the rooms. Actually Antonio manage the hotel with his son Crescenzo Gargano.
ROOMS & SUITES
The Hotel Marina Riviera has 34 rooms, classified in Standard, De Luxe, Junior Suite e Suite. Furnished with taste and elegance, completed with valuable furniture and handmade ceramic from Vietri sul Mare, each room is equipped with all modern comforts, such as air conditioning, telephone, TV SAT, minibar, hairdryer and electronic safe, internet access.
MASTER SUITE
Located on the highest floor of the hotel, the Master Suite is our most exclusive room. Large about 60 square meters (645-square-foot) and composed of 2 separate rooms, the room has a private solarium and 2 large balconies that offer a beautiful view of the Amalfi Coast.
Suitable for those who want to stay in the centre of Amalfi enjoying breath-taking views and romantic sunsets, the suite is totally soundproofed and enjoys total privacy. The floors are made of very precious hand-painted Vietri ceramic tiles that perfectly match with the colors of the external landscape.
The various room amenities include bathroom with double sink, bath-tub and walking shower, Frette bathrobe, “Carthusia” toiletries, hairdryer, two Smart TVs, free Wi-Fi, docking station with alarm clock and wireless charger, safe, air conditioning, mini bar, Nespresso coffee machine and Kettle.
SUITE AMALFITANA
The “Amalfitana suite” is one of our exclusive rooms. These 42 square meters (451-square-foot) room has an uncompilable view of the Amalfi Coast and boasts a 38 sqm (408-square-foot) private solarium furnished with Jacuzzi and sun beds.
The room – open space- has a spacious sitting area characterized by a typical “barrel vault” and Vietri majolica. The sleeping area offers a comfortable and large double bed with sofa bed.
The various room amenities include bathroom with hydromassage shower, Frette bathrobe, hairdryer, two Smart TVs, free Wi-Fi, docking station with alarm clock and wireless charger, safe, air conditioning, mini bar, Nespresso coffee machine and Kettle.
SUITE
Composed of a unique open-plan room with sleeping area and sitting corner, it is the ideal for those who want to spend a romantic and comfortable holiday in the centre of Amalfi. The suite has a balcony with a terrace overlooking the sea and it is finished with fine handmade Vietri ceramics.
The suite is available only with a queen bed and is approximately 35 square meters wide (376-square-foot). The room has a bathroom with bath-tub and walking shower, Frette bathrobe, hairdryer, Smart TV, free Wi-Fi, docking station with alarm clock and wireless charger, safe, air conditioning, mini bar and Nespresso coffee machine.
THE BISTROT
An amazing terrace overlooking the bay of Amalfi, a superb view framing the tasting of typical local dishes, prepared in a simple way in order to enhance the authenticity of the Amalfi Coast gastronomic tradition.
Marina Riviera Bistrot is an elegant and informal venue for a candlelight dinner or for sipping a cocktail at sunset, enjoying the amazing show of night lights, lulled by the sound of the waves breaking themselves on the shore. The bistro service of the Hotel Marina Riviera in Amalfi is available every day, from 7pm to 10pm. Colsing day: Tuesday.
EOLO RESTAURANT
It is possible to eat fine local dishes at our Eolo restaurant, just 30 meters away from the hotel. It has a lovely little terrace where you can enjoy the wonderful panorama of Amalfi’ town and has an unbelivable wine cellar with national and international famous labels. The resturant can host up to 35 Guests.
THE POOL BAR
Are you looking for an unforgettable moment? You can’t miss out a cocktail at sunset time by our new pool. The bar is on the top floor and there you can enjoy the most beautiful view of Amalfi sipping your fruit cocktail. It is possible to organize on our terrace/solarium symbolic weddings or buffet dinners at sunset time to enjoy “this beauty” with friends and family.
THE BAR
Located on the first floor it has a magnificent terrace that overlooks the sea and Amalfi’s bay. It is ideal to enjoy an aperitif at sunset time or a candle light after dinner drink. Marina Riviera’s bar has a good selection of national and international liquors, analcoholic and alcoholic cocktails and teas.
THE SWIMMING POOL
Our new pool situated on the top floor, has an amazing sea view. It is reachable by lift. Once you are in you can relax and be sunkissed until late afternoon. The solarium area has a bar, sun beds and umbrellas in teak wood, a steaming room and sensory shower.
