Famous for being the most magnificent mansion in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the stately building has been reborn thanks to the inspired efforts of a passionate team of local architects and designers.

The ornate baroque mansion lived through the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the rule of Russian czars, Napoleon’s entrance to Vilnius, and the Soviet before it was reborn.

Rich historic elements are masterfully blended with present-day design to showcase soft, deep tones and elegant materials that heighten the structure’s classical style and complement its relaxing spa.

The 104 rooms and suites, the inviting restaurant and bar, and the four meeting rooms all celebrate Lithuania’s rich past and Baltic culture, while also pointing it forward in a direction that is young and vibrant in spirit.

Also intriguing is the hotel’s expansive courtyard, which evokes the atmosphere of the city’s surrounding historic buildings. Here, guests enjoy local art events, dinners that stretch long into the night, and more—making this transformative property a new cultural hub in Vilnius.

ARCHITECTURE
Originally constructed in the 15th century, the building that now houses the architecturally impressive Hotel Pacai had seen many reconstructions, extensions, and refurbishments in its long history.

The historical part of the mansion has been revived with the help of a detailed and historically minded architectural plan that recreates some of the structure’s original baroque details, including the rebuilt roof. Additional spaces, such as the hotel’s inner yard and new elements there, blend seamlessly into the existing building.

And throughout the renovation, traditional materials, such as clay, tin, stone, and original barn wood, were used. The new part of the hotel, meanwhile, has been crafted to serve as a supporting backdrop to the palace.

INTERIOR DESIGN
Hotel PACAI’s design is the synthesis of multiple creative visions coming together in a historical building that celebrates the region’s tradition as well as the present uniqueness of Lithuanian and Baltic culture. With the majority of the mansion’s spaces dating back centuries, the designers’ goal was to keep the history visible in a direct way.

Thus, all the existing frescoes and unique textures of the walls are emphasized through lighting, while the main features of the hotel strive for elegance and classical purity, both through materials and details. A cozy, artistic atmosphere includes soft, deep tones in the public areas and artwork in the rooms.

PACAI SUITE
Positioned in the suite floor of the hotel PACAI, 120 square metre (1,292 square feet) of floorspace and 4.5-meter ceilings, the PACAI suite is the hotel’s largest suite.

Suite offers a separate bedroom and a living room with dining area and balcony. This suite can also be connected with Heritage suite to form an expansive apartment that covers over 200 square meters.

HERITAGE SUITE
Facing the Vilnius Old Town, the 90-square-metre (968 square feet) and palatial ceilings, Heritage suite includes a separate bedroom and a living room with dining area.

This modern luxury suite offers hand-picked Lithuanian artwork and authentic 18th century Baroque frescoes and can also be connected with PACAI suite to form an expansive apartment that covers over 200 square meters.

COURTYARD SIGNATURE SUITE
Feel like royalty in the Courtyard signature suite where the rich patina of history covers the walls and is contrasted with well-chosen pieces of contemporary furniture. Relax on the super comfortable l-shape sofa, pamper yourself in the freestanding oversize bathtub in the room with gorgeous brass fittings or lay back and look at remnants of ancient history.

JUNIOR SUITE
The suites offer the plush comfort of a Hastens super king-sized bed. The suites are very spacious and feel like you are staying in your own comfortable apartment, right in the center of the Old Town.

The majority of Hotel PACAI’s Countess Rooms feel very palatial thanks to the high ceilings and room sizes. Each room has different layout. As frescoes or authentic historical details are revealed, so is the history of this building that was once a mansion. Countess Rooms offer a view into a courtyard or a vibrant Vilnius Old Town street.

Influenced by North with a touch of Japanese cuisine our tasting menu reflects the natural flow of ingredients. We select only best seasonal produce from our farmers, forest, ocean and fields.
