Liepāja – a city with centuries worth of rich history. After being polished by the harsh winds of Courland and the white sand of the beaches for almost nine hundred years, the city still has preserved the unique charm of the old Līva village. “Promenade Hotel” is also a part of the old history of this city of maritime fishermen, sailors and travellers.

The history of the port vicinity reaches back to the beginning of the 18th century when two wealthy German traders – Lorenz Joachim Huecke and Anton Witte – organised extensive ship traffic waiting for the ships filled with goods from far away and exotic lands.

The goods received – fabric, cereal and salt – were stored by the German traders in the large port spīķeris warehouse built from the dark red brick which has now become “Promenade Hotel”.

Due to their contribution to the city, Huecke and Witte have written their names in the history of Liepaja not only as rich traders but also as benefactors and philanthropists who supported the development of the seaside city. A century and a half after the time of Huecke and Witte, the port spīķeris building served as a warehouse for the goods brought by the traders.

In 2007, the old spīķeris neighbourhood experienced its rebirth to greet the city guests from near and far, appearing in a new image. Now the port spīķeris built in the 18th century has turned into a hotel with a modern design, an elegant restaurant and an art gallery.

“Promenade Hotel” is not only a hotel – it is a story about travelling far away which the dark red bricks, ancient wooden beams and floorboards continue to tell. Looking through the hotel windows, the ships at the waterfront of the port continue the old story about world travel which will always end with a journey home.

BUSINESS
A well-equipped business centre is available in the hotel – free-of-charge wireless Internet, premises for conferences and meetings, a menu for business meals at the restaurant, free parking with video surveillance, as well as transfer services.

ROOMS & SUITES
Each room of our design hotel is special with an individually created interior. The modern features in the interior are combined with classical values, where ancient meets contemporary.

Natural materials – wood, brick, metal, linen – create a feeling of home. No two rooms are the same, just as there are no two guests alike. Thus, each guest is provided with an opportunity to select the most appropriate room for his or her taste.

APARTMENT WITH TERRACE
The apartment with a terrace (70 m2) is situated on the hotel’s 5th floor, facing the east. This accommodation features a well-appointed bathroom, a roomy living area, and a kitchen with a dining space. This kitchen allows you to prepare meals and enjoy family gatherings. The suite’s terrace offers a lovely view of the city and Liepaja Lake. For your convenience and privacy, the suite has a separate entrance.

ONE BEDROOM SUITE ONE
One Bedroom Suite (58 m2 – 74 m2). Apart from having a comfortable bedroom and a spacious bathroom, it also features a well-equipped area for work and recreation. A beautiful view of the Liepaja Port promenade and the trade canal or Liepaja concert hall “Lielais dzintars” may be seen from the panoramic windows creating an excellent atmosphere in the room.

PROMENADE SUITE
Promenade Suite (41 m2) is located on the 5th floor of the building. Enjoy exquisite relaxation in a uniquely equipped room with a free-standing bathtub, allowing relaxing while enjoying the best views of the city. A beautiful view of the Liepaja Port promenade, trade canal and the sea can be seen from the windows of the room.

JUNIOR SUITE WITH TERRACE
Junior Suites with a terrace (41 m2 – 49 m2) are located on the 5th floor. Single and double rooms with one big or two separate beds are available. Individually designed rooms are equipped with a comfortable work area and a recreational area, while their terraces feature a beautiful view of the Liepaja Port promenade.

SUPERIOR ROOM
Superior rooms (22 – 26 m2) are located on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floor. These are elegant rooms with a beautiful view of the concert hall of Liepaja “Lielais dzintars”. One room is available for disabled guests.

PIANO RESTAURANT
Our restaurant and bar buzzes with activity, serving as a hub for both locals and tourists. Beyond the expansive windows that provide unparalleled views of Liepaja harbor or the “Great Amber” concert hall, you’ll discover friends and colleagues relishing delectable food and drinks.

HIKA HALL
The hotel’s largest conference hall. Hika Spīķeris may be used both together with Hika Spīķeris terrace and also separately for the meetings, workgroups or important events and banquets. When renting Hika Spīķeris, an additional fee will not be charged for the rental of Hika Spīķeris terrace.

HIKA HALL TERRACE
Hika Spiķeris terrace is ideal for hosting extensive events, conferences, and banquets. The enclosed glass terrace, covering approximately 60m2, at Hiks Spīķeris is versatile and can be utilized in conjunction with Hika Spīķeris or independently. In cases where both Hika Spīķeris and its terrace are utilized together, only the rental fee for Hika Spīķeris will apply.

ROSE HALL
The enchanting and historic Rose Hall is particularly well-suited for hosting festive events for up to 40 people. Adorned with rose paintings on the walls and featuring exquisite lighting, the hall exudes a special atmosphere. Additionally, the hall can be combined with the spaces of the “Piano” restaurant.

SPA & WELLNESS
Relaxation area is on the 3rd floor of Promenade Hotel. In total there are 2 rooms for treatments. We’ve selected BABOR as our favourite spa brand. BABOR is an innovative German cosmetics brand offering a full range of luxury class products. Our professional staff will help you to take the best decision from offered treatments.

There’s something on our list of treatments for everyone – men, women and children alike. Anyone who books a body treatment or massage receives free admission to the steam sauna & Finnish sauna prior to their treatment. Use of bathrobes is included in the price for all visitors.

GYM
Promenade Hotel gym and fitness centre is open daily from 6am–11pm. It features the latest exercise equipment, a full selection of free weights and other fitness tools, free water and a room for stretching and yoga.

THE ART GALLERY ROMAN DARZS
The Art Gallery “Romas dārzs” (the Roman garden) is located at the very centre of Liepāja, on the ground floor and in the basement of the Art Hotel ROMA, designed by the architect M.P.Bertschy.

The gallery establishes a collection of valuable Liepāja art items, where everyone can personally meet the beautiful art of the outstanding Liepāja artists of the 20th century, and have a good look at the artworks of other artists and their creative diversity in the gallery’s temporary exhibitions.

The exhibition “Liepāja – Time – Artist” is the only collection of local artist works on permanent display that is available to visitors and town guests in Liepāja with more than 150 artworks, including paintings, watercolours and graphic art.

The exhibition offers a variety of artworks by Valters Uzticis, Jānis Sudmalis, Artūrs Baumanis, Augusts Annuss, Jānis Gailis, Egils Radziņš, Valdis Mackars and others. In addition to the expositions, the gallery “Romas dārzs” provides the following service and expertise:

• Purchase and consignment of artworks of old masters and contemporary artists;
• Rent and sale of the artworks of Latvian old masters and contemporary artists;
