We only use high-standard, all-natural products to meet your every expectation. Taste superior wines from our well-stocked wine cellar and savour every moment – moments that not only tickle your taste buds, but speak to all your senses.

When an active day comes to an end, you will certainly enjoy a glass of champagne, an interesting gin and tonic creation, a cocktail or fresh fruit juices in the cosy bar … the nicest holiday acquaintances are always made here.

OUR GOOD-TASTE GIN
We’ve distilled our own GIN. Lavender, rosemary, citrus, Swiss stone pine and many more are the ingredients of the THERESA Gin, which is naturally based on juniper berries. As we attach great importance to quality and regionality, we have given the gin its special, personal touch in line with our own tastes. Simply try it!

WINE AS WELLNESS FACTOR
A good glass of wine completes a delicious meal, turning it into a full-fledged culinary experience – yes, at times it can even save the day. As we at the THERESA are more than aware of the importance of exquisite wines, you will not only be advised by our Head Sommelière and family member Theresa Burkia-Egger, but also by our Young SommelièresStephanie and Franziska Egger.

They bring new momentum to our wine collection and do their jobs with expert knowledge and passion. Quality, varietal typicity and stylistic authenticity always dominate their selections. For us as a family business, honesty and care in the processing of the wine are of importance rather than the price of the brand.

If you want to take your first steps into the world of wine, you can embark on a journey of aromas, nuances and fragrances with the wine specialists in one of their popular wine seminars. We can thus guarantee to our guests wine and wellness at the same time – pleasure and joy from the first sip.

HOME-MADE IN TYROL’S HOTEL FOR EPICUREANS
As authentically sustainable gourmet hotel in Tyrol it is a personal concern of our family to always know where the ingredients for our gourmet menu come from. This is why chef-de-cuisine Stefan Egger and his team prefer to create their meals with homemade ingredients and only buy these from local suppliers.

True to the motto “Do it yourself”, we give free rein to our creativity and innovative strength – to the benefit of our guests! Of course, we are focusing on regionality here as well.

GIN
For instance, when producing our delicious homemade gin we collaborate with the distillery Stiegenhaushof from Schwendau. Together we have developed the gin of good taste. We serve it at our bar with Fentimans HERBAL TONIC, a rosemary branch, lemon and juniper berries.

HONEY
It is important to our Stefan, who acquired his hunting licence more than 30 years ago, to contribute to a functioning ecosystem – that’s why he supplies our hotel with fresh venison from our own hunting grounds.

We do not only process venison as an ingredient for the five-course select-menu, our guests will also find selected venison specialities, such as the hearty, homemade deer sausage, at the breakfast buffet.

MARMELADES AND CHUTNEYS
For real connoisseurs and friends of good taste, we also offer all possible variations of sweets and spices in jars. Depending on what the local fruit and vegetable garden or dealer has to offer, we create a wide variety of jams and chutneys.

MILK PRODUCTS
We purchase our milk products exclusively from the Lengauhof in Ginzling and the Erlebnis-Sennerei Zillertal dairy, where hay milk is processed into high-quality products.

This is the basis for finest cow, sheep and goat cheeses, alpine butter, cream, curd cheese, yoghurt in various flavours as well as for alpine, goat and buttermilk.

FRESH FISH
Our chef-de-cuisine Stefan is a true all-rounder. In addition to hunting, the passionate hobby fisherman also enjoys the peace and quiet of the Zemmbach stream in Ginzling in the Ziller Valley that is known as a fly-fishing paradise for local trout and char.

Since Stefan cannot cover all our demand himself, we also collaborate with the local supplier Questers® Feine Fische Mariazell.

GAME
It is important to our Stefan, who acquired his hunting licence over 30 years ago, to contribute to a functioning ecosystem – that’s why he supplies our hotel with fresh, venison from our own hunting grounds.

WATER – SYMBOL OF RELAXATION AND REGENERATION
And here at the THERESA, we have “Grander Water”, with characteristics quite different from regular tap water. Original, with elemental information, renewing.

Our Energy Water is enhanced with ozone and oxygen, and is extraordinarily soft and free of unpleasant chlorine.
And in order to be kind on the environment, all of the energy to power the wellness area (heating the water, saunas etc.) is produced by our 150m² of solar cells.

Our saltwater pool turns mere swimming into healthful enjoyment, inviting you to unwind in a soothing atmosphere. Listen to whale song through the Liquid-Sound System, as you recline on our bubble-jet beds and soak in the views of the Zillertal mountains.

Our spacious, heated OPEN-AIR POOL – 32 °C – is an incredible enhancement to the amenities of the THERESA. In winter, too, you will be able to swim in the steaming outdoor pool.

As you clock laps in the warm water, you are certain to be captivated by the magnificent views of snow-capped alpine peaks. Comfortable lounger in the pool area also allow your brain to immerse itself in this unique setting.

SAUNA AREA
choose among our different types of dry saunas and steam baths. Or try all of them out. Different temperatures and humidity are rounded off by a varied ambience. The steam baths are very pleasant due to the mild warmth and higher humidity and make your skin soft and supple and free the respiratory tract.

FINNISH GARDEN SAUNA 70-80 °C
Small and continous infusions are the reason for relative high humidity. The perfect basis for relaxation with a nice view.

FINNISH ALPINE SAUNA 90-95 °C
With a high temperature and low humidity, we achieve outstanding stimulation of the metabolism in general. Yet another benefit: the cell renewal that accompanies a steady improvement in the skin’s levels of moisture. It detoxifies and stimulates the vegetative nervous system.

BIO-SAUNA 60-70 °C
Ideal way to cleanse the skin of toxins. Due to improvement in blood and lymphatic flow, the skin becomes more resistant to harmful environmental factors and smog. Relaxation for body and mind.

BIKING IN TYROL
and those looking for real athletic challenges are sure to want to head out on tour with our new Scott mountainbikes (full-suspension with Shimano parts), pressing ever onwards and upwards along those steep trails towards the sun and experiencing that unique enjoyment that only comes from interacting with Mother Nature herself.

Cyclists looking for a more leisurely time will enjoy our 4- and 8-speed bikes and the well-maintained cycle paths which await them in the glorious landscapes of the Ziller Valley. Here at the THERESA, we’ll make sure the experience is as good as it gets.

ZELLBERG HÜTTE / HIGH ROAD
Our weekly challenge for the thighs leads up to the Zillertaler Höhenstrasse with an up to 19% gradient – at the sharp bend, go straight towards the Stifterhof with a magnificent view of Zell am Ziller – at the Stifterhof take a sharp right on the supply road to “Theresas Zellberghütte” – here, you can enjoy refreshments before you continue to the Aschau ascent on the Zillertaler Höhenstrasse – take the connecting path towards the Hirschbichlalm – descent via the Zellberger Höhenstrasse

Duration ca. 3 hrs. on bike (and 2 hrs. at the refreshment station), intermediate difficulty level with a steep 1030 vertical meters, beautiful views of the upper Zillertal with the Ahornspitze and Dristner as well as the Gerlostal

HIKING IN TYROL
The mountains of Tyrol are at their most beautiful right now: summer days mingling with the scents of hay, a gentle breeze blowing through the tops of the fir trees, flower-covered Alpine pastures and the sparkling, emerald-green mountain tarns. Could there be a better place to spend your vacation? The nature of the Alps awakens your spirits and renews your love for life.

Take a mountain hike and regenerate body and soul in lofty heights! Where the landscapes are in harmony with our own primal rhythm, your vacation will become a true source of renewed energy.

5 times a week you’ll be able to join our experienced, certified mountain and hiking guides, Siegfried and Stefan Egger, as they personally take you out to discover the Zillertal Mountains – which offer over 1,000 km of hiking trails!

GOLFING IN THE ZILLERTAL
The new driving range with all the necessary learning facilities is in operation (= 8 min from the THERESA). 18 fairways and greens are already prepared. The golf school is fully operational already.

How about a round of golf in the meantime in the Achental, in Mittersill, in Igls, or in the Tyrolean Unterland?

RAFTING
Setting out from Mayrhofen, we embark on a rafting tour for the whole family. Fun to the max without any long transfers, the perfect beginner’s tour. Or how about an expedition to one of the most famous wildwater areas om Austria, Imster Canyon?

HIGH-ROPE COURSE
The high-rope course consists of a series of elements, each mounted on a group of tree trunks ranging from 10 to 15 meters above the ground. It is very much like an obstacle course, consisting of ropes, cables and tree trunks, each challenge tackled one after another.

The high emotional excitement is caused by the height of the various elements. Come join us, led by a mountain guide, and tackle 25 challenges guaranteed to send a tingle down your spine!

TENNIS
We boast outdoor sand courts that are expertly maintained to top-notch standards – they are available for you to use at absolutely no charge. If you would like to improve your forehand or backhand, a certified tennis trainer is always available to assist (extra charge)

In the event of inclement weather, there is a state-of-the-art indoor tennis facility just a 3-minute walk from the hotel (extra charge).

WINTER HOLIDAYS 
What makes winter in the Ziller Valley so special? Snow-white variety! There are leisurely family descents, carving slopes that couldn’t be more beautiful, boundless deep snow areas for power experiences, fast race tracks and fun and snow parks for the more adventurous.

Especially the freeride areas and fun slopes make the Ziller Valley an absolute insider tip for snowboarders. No wonder that local hero, Olympic champion and overall World Cup winner Stephan Eberharter, is full of praise for his “local mountains”.

SNOW GUARANTEE
In combination with ideal altitude levels, ongoing investments are continually being made in artificial snow marking facilities. This snow is created using pure mountain spring water, your guarantee for immaculate snow conditions. Artificial snow can be created on demand on an impressive 75 % of all pistes.

SNOWBIKE
Absolute mega fun for the whole family (for children 12 years and older) – and all this without any skiing skills. The skiing areas are no longer just reserved for skiing and snowboarding. Each week, you can learn how to do this fun alpine sport.

After about an hour only, you’ll be able to go down and get acquainted with all the slopes together with the skiers. International experts have crowned the Zillertal as the most beautiful setting amongst all of Austria’s skiing regions.

SLEDGING
You can experience pure fun on two runners on our local mountain with the 7 km long toboggan run. Racing runs, steep curves, challenging “moguls”, and easy gliding sections create a diverse, action-packed ride (Zillertal offers a total of 45 km of toboggan runs)
