Gathering around the table sharing good food with family and friends is part of your amazing holiday experience at the Wiesenhof. Our head chef Kevin Holzer and his culinary team create delicious menus filled with a selection of seasonal and locally sourced produce.

During your stay, you will be seated at one of the lovingly laid tables in our restaurant and porcelain room overlooking Lake Achensee, in the cosy cuckoo’s nest, in the welcoming atmosphere of the Seestube, or in the stylishly appointed lounge.

We are happy to reserve the family table in the restaurant or in the Seestube for families and groups. Our arolla pine parlour can also be used as an independent lounge and dining room for large families or groups.

THE BREAKFAST
Early or late riser? Take a seat at your reserved table and enjoy a delicious help-yourself breakfast buffet which provides you with energy for the day.

Homemade breads, bread rolls and toast, fresh fruit, fruit jams (also sugar-free), honey, a range of organic food with different cereals and yoghurts, a selection of fine teas, coffee, invigorating juices and freshly squeezed orange or carrot juice. Tirolean bacon, cold cuts and ham, and delicious cheese freshly cut at our deli counter, egg dishes freshly prepared and served to your table.

THE DINNER
Seasonal, tasty dishes freshly prepared with regional produce. Your table awaits you in the restaurant, in one of the parlours or in the garden. Choose hearty soups and starters, delicious main courses, vegetarian dishes and fine desserts from our daily changing menu, paired with the finest wines from our well-stocked cellar. THE LOUNGE BAR

The Wiesenhof lounge offers a lot of space and yet a homely atmosphere. Our bar team prepare excellent aperitifs, digestifs and cocktails. AROLLA PINE PARLOUR
The scent of arolla pine is typical for a Tirolean parlour. The panelling in rural parlours used to serve as room decoration and also as thermal insulation.

In Tirol, the parlours were usually panelled with arolla pine wood, which exudes a pleasant scent over many years. Our arolla pine parlour can also be used as an independent lounge and dining room for large families or groups.

The fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, forests and meadows, which you enjoy from the swimming hall of our wellness hotel at Lake Achensee, enhances this feeling of being close to nature.

Karwendel Spa – wellbeing on 2.300m² with beautiful panoramic mountain vistas. Highlight: The swimming hall in art nouveau style featuring a 25-metre swimming pool and direct access to the garden and sauna area. Relaxation rooms provide peace and tranquility. Fitness enthusiasts find state-of-the-art cardio fitness and weight training equipment in our gym.

The Power of the Alps collected for you. Chamomile, sage and lavender form the typical fragrance of the Wiesenhof herbal steam sauna. A fine spray of brine is dispersed in the saline steam sauna and purifies the respiratory system.

Tiroler Steinöl® (shale oil) which has been extracted and processed in the Achensee region for more than 100 years, works wonders for tired muscles as a bath essence or massage oil. Various baths and body masks with herbs, hay or arolla pine are soothing and relaxing.

THE SWIMMING HALL 
The Wiesenhof swimming hall is an architectural masterpiece and has been carefully integrated into our magnificent surroundings. It is more than “just” a swimming pool: Featuring a 25-metre sports pool, the swimming hall is the region’s largest hotel swimming pool.

The steel and glass structure in the art nouveau style is reminiscent of the glamorous times of the turn of the century. The entire KARWENDEL SPA with swimming hall and sauna area offers wellness on an area of 2.300m².

Through the window facade swimmers have a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, forests and meadows all year round. In winter, the swimming hall is pleasantly heated. In summer, opening the large windows provide outdoor access to our beautiful sunbathing lawn. Opening times are daily from 7:00 to 21:00.

The height adjustable false bottom is a technical showpiece which can create variable water depths:

• 1.10m for aqua gymnastics
• 0.0m for parties and events
• Relax Pool

The indoor relax pool has been fully renovated in 2009 and is equipped with a counter-current system – we also offer regular aqua exercise classes. The relax pool is open daily around the clock.

SAUNAS & STEAM ROOMS
Enjoy the luxury of doing nothing at our KARWENDEL SPA, a world away from the distractions of everyday life. The use of all saunas and steam rooms is free for all Wiesenhof guests.

Saunas and steam rooms are open daily from 11:00 to 19:00. On Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays the saunas are open until 22:00. The sauna area is a textile-free area and reserved for guests aged 12 years and over.

ALPINE HERBS SAUNA 
A combination of thermal heat and exquisite herbs of the Karwendel. In the middle there is an arrangement of herbs. We use chamomile (relaxing, anticonvulsant), sage (purifying, anti-septical) and lavender (cell renewing, purifying). The automatic spraying of the herbs with water creates a pleasant flavour and increases the air humidity. Temperature ca. 60°C. Bathing time: 10 – 20 minutes

BEEHIVE SAUNA
As the name suggests, the sauna used to be a beehive. We have rebuilt the house to a traditional Finnish Sauna which offers a lot of space. Windows, floor, sauna oven, wooden benches – the honeycomb forms remind you of its original purpose. And maybe, if you are really quiet and listen closely you might still hear the hum of the bees. Temperature ca. 85°C. Bathing time: 10 – 15 minutes

SWEATING ROOM 
If the traditional Finnish Sauna is too hot for you – try our sweating room. The walls, benches, floor and foot rest are heated and create an indirect thermal heat up to 75°C. By slowly heating your body the purifying process will set in very gently. After 20 min. we recommend showering with the Kneipp hose in direction of the heart.

The cardiovascular system is stimulated and the purifying process is enhanced – after another 20 min. repeat the showering with the Kneipp hose. After the bath take a warm shower. Bathing time: 30 – 60 minutes

SALT STEAM ROOM
Hall (formerly Solbad Hall), a town close to Innsbruck, has a long tradition in salt-mining in the Karwendel mountains. In our salt steam sauna finely dispersed brine is sprayed in the booth.

The brine and steam technique combined with the thermal heat create a purifying and healing process of the respiratory system. We use mint essences to enhance the pleasant steam bath. Bathing time: 10 – 20 minutes

SONNENHALLE 
The Sonnenhalle relaxation room is the perfect place to read a book or a magazine, or to relax after sauna bathing or swimming. The comfortable loungers in the swimming hall and in the garden afford beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

THE GYM
The gym has 13 x 12 metres and is located on the ground floor; it can be accessed through the Karwendel Spa. We use the gym for morning gymnastics and aerobics.

On the ground floor you will find state-of-the-art Dr. Wolff fitness equipment as well as a room for weight training and a PowerPlate. Our guests can use the gym at any time free of charge for other activities like table tennis, badminton, indoor hockey, softball or gymnastics.

KIDS PLAY AREA
In the play area Wiesenhof Spielwelt, these five subjects represent the history of the Wiesenhof and its beautiful setting. In our new unique play area we want to encourage children to connect with nature and to experience the beauty and diversity of the flora and fauna.

No plastic and mass-produced products: Our exceptional play area features a range of toys which have been produced sustainably and with elaborate and traditional craftsmanship. Our aim is to encourage the children’s creativity and appreciation of nature.

The cheerful chirping of birds, the buzzing of bees in a flower meadow, curious animal sounds in the forest and soothing sounds from nature accompany the children while they play and enhance their senses for the beauty of the natural world.

How do forests and flower meadows smell? In the quiet zone, the children discover relaxing combinations of scents from nature. The Wiesenhof children experience all these impressions in the themed areas of our play area. No matter how brave, adventurous, artistic, active, horse-crazy or inquisitive your children are, every child will find their personal play highlight.

The Spielwelt also features a small, yet sophisticated library. A brilliant book of inspiration for handicrafts shows the diversity of options for creating works of art with materials collected outdoors in nature.

Children can relax watching films on our cosy sofa surrounded by cushions and stuffed animals from the tree house. In September and October, visitors have the opportunity to experience a natural spectacle. Usually deer stay out of sight, but the sound of roaring stags during the rutting season is hard to miss.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
The only thing you hear is your own breathing as your skis glide over the snow. Perfectly groomed and track-set cross-country trails lead into the depths of the three Karwendel valleys, through forests and over wide fields, surrounded by the mighty peaks of the Karwendel. Children learn how to ski downhill or cross-country: In winter everything centers around BOBO, the mascot of the ski school Leithner in Pertisau. Children between the ages of 3 and 13 years have a lot of fun with special skiing lessons which are based on a story of the penguin BOBO. The story has been developed using innovative pedagogical methods.

SEGWAYS
The Segway® Human Transporter (HT) is the world’s first self-balancing, zero emissions personal transportation vehicle – a perfect way to explore Pertisau and its surroundings. Due to the simple and intuitive handling only a short instruction is necessary before you can mount the Segway.

It’s a fun vehicle and popular with young and old. The Segways are often booked as a special highlight at corporate events and incentives. And last but not least, the battery-operated Segway is a noiseless form of transport.
