Originally this was the house of the founder, Lucio in fact. He was the first to have the intuition to transform some of the ancient caves of Matera, now abandoned and in disuse, into a beautiful Albergo Diffuso.

The unique and original architecture unmistakably characterizes these places that seem to be wrapped in a charm of the past. The environment is familiar and the atmosphere evokes the life that was once spent in the Sassi. The interiors are embellished with plays of light that give volume to the ancient niches and stone arches.

Among these rocks, whose history is intertwined with that of the world, the comforts are the result of modernity while the furnishings of the splendid rooms and common rooms alternate original period details with design pieces.

LOCATION
Located in a strategic position, La Casa Di Lucio is close to many of the most popular and iconic destinations in all of Southern Italy. From the beautiful beaches of the Ionian Sea to those of the Adriatic side of nearby Puglia, from the archaeological sites of Metaponto and Policoro to the trulli of the Itria Valley.

A large and elegant space, obtained from a cave house typical of the Sassi. It is accessed by a small wooden door, which overlooks a wonderful internal courtyard.

In the heart of Murgia and in the territory of Trulli, a picturesque expanse of pinnacles announces Alberobello, with its charming old town World Heritage Site. This is the beautiful destination of our fourth day tour, including lunch in one of the best restaurants in Alberobello.
