THE HISTORY
The story begins from the heart of the creator of La Corte Dell’Astore. He is a master of stonework, loves beauty, is deeply rooted in his place of origin, Alberobello, and is fond of falconry.

He decides to change the current idea of hospitality by combining competence, history and passion. In this way a wonderful resort formed by ancient domes, the UNESCO world heritage, rises in the centre of the city of trulli.

The stones are parts of an ancient architecture that reflects the story of a unique village, rich in culture and tradition, and of a country, Apulia, visited by famous characters like Frederick II, who loved falconry, a very old discipline.

THE SUITES
La Corte dell’Astore is formed by eight ancient buildings dated back to a millenary tradition. The interiors are made of stone according to a primitive technique and they recall the art of making these simple dwellings an example of perfect structural stability.

In these dwellings that have the form of cylinders covered by cones, you can live in a dreamlike period, when simplicity was the real richness, the stone was an element of worth and tradition was a legend.

RELAX SUITE
The goal of a travel is also to regenerate body and mind. La Corte dell’Astore has suites equipped with whirlpool tub and Turkish bath designed for the guests who want to enjoy a pause of well-being surrounded by natural vapors in pools carved in the rock. Professional masseurs will help our guests to relax with various massage techniques.

LANARIO SUITE
The Lanner falcon is one of the most beautiful hawks in our territory. It is elegant, slender and fast-moving. It is a wonderful specimen for its morphological characteristics and exceptional performances.

Its colour shades inspired our new interpretation of this trullo with rounded walls, where there’s no space for pictures but only for custom-made furniture. It is an essential space representing the excellence in architecture. It is a gallery of different worlds and stories, where attention to details and the role of each single element in the whole perspective take the guest back in another time.

L’ASTORE PRINCESS SUITE
The goshawk is the most commonly used species in falconry and it is the main and the most favourite predator in this hunting practice. This animal needs care, patience and the same particular technical knowledge employed in the creation of the Princess Astore Suite.

It is the double-cone trullo dominating the courtyard and it is characterised by a large authentic local stone hand-made outdoor hydro-massage bath. This historical house is marked by refined and sophisticated style of the furniture, accurate space organisation and attention to details: this trullo is the best choice to live a unique and surreal experience.

ART OF FALCONRY
“Dear beloved proud friend I offer you protection, good food and my care. If you want something else, please ask me! I would like a few things in return: fly high and well. Our staff organises for the guests who love falconry or are curious about this fascinating world, exciting shows in which hawks and eagles dance in the air with unfurled wings. At the end of the performance our staff will be at the disposal of our guests to show them the wonderful specimens.

HUNTING
Experts in falconry will lead the fearless guests along a path of adventure, where the laws of nature and the harmony with man dominate. Hunting with hawks and eagles in the wonderful Apulian wildlife hunting reserves will make your trip a special event.

PARAGLIDING
Our staff organises, for the guests with the dream of flying, paragliding experiences with hawks and bald eagles. It is a special way to establish a close contact between man, nature and the vast sky.

ALTERNATIVE FARM
Children can watch the wonderful courtyard animals, such as Galápagos tortoises, “Murgia” and Shire horses, donkeys of Martina Franca, hawks, eagles, a blue-and-yellow macaw – an Ara ararauna parrot – and more.

CICLYING
Alberobello is characterised by a fascinating countryside, where you can admire old trulli houses and natural wonders. Our guests can visit these wonderful places by our bikes autonomously or with our staff.

La Corte dell’Astore is also located not far from the natural reserve “Bosco Selva”, where you can find children’s playing areas, picnic areas, footpaths and cycle paths.

EXCURSIONS BY HORSE CARRIAGES
Our staff organises daily excursions by horse carriages to visit old places and farmhouses, where you can breathe the smell of newly mown hay, the chirping of crickets fills the heart and the wind moves plants in coloured waves, that are the setting of a timeless landscape. A past found in ancient pleasant emotions and in harmony with the deepest side of the soul.

Our staff organises travels by helicopter from our resort for the guests who want to visit Alberobello in a particular exciting way.
