The Hotel Laurus al Duomo is located in the historic Via de’ Cerretani, just 100 metres from the Cathedral and 150 m from Santa Maria Novella Central Station, just a few metres’ walk from the elegant streets of the historic centre.

50 Rooms furnished in the nineteenth-century Florentine style, all characterised by a name and a story; comfortable, cosy and suitable for all types of needs of our Guests.

Thanks to our splendid panoramic terrace on the 6th floor, our guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a private view of the Florence Cathedral (the Duomo) during the morning hours while having breakfast. The Caffè Astra al Duomo welcomes all our Guests with a delicious selection of pastries, tasty sandwiches and dishes of the Tuscan gastronomy.

In the afternoon, a wide variety of teas and a good coffee to accompany with excellent cakes for a sweet afternoon break, while aperitifs await you with excellent drinks to end in style a day spent visiting the wonders of Florence.

The Auditorium al Duomo, located on the site where one of the oldest Cinemas in Florence once stood, is a unique congress space. Spacious meeting rooms equipped with all cutting-edge technologies and the Amphitheatre, a true marvel with capacity for up to 300 people right in the heart of the City.

ROOMS & SUITES
Our rooms, furnished in the classic Florentine style, comfortable and cosy, enriched with the added value of Panoramas and Views of Florence. In addition, we have given each of them a number, a Name, which characterise and differentiate them according to what they show from their windows, offering a different sight from each of them.

The Hotel Laurus al Duomo has 50 rooms, including 39 for non-smokers, all of which offer a view over the historic centre of Florence from three different points of view, such as the historic Via Cerretani, the Medici Chapels and the city’s roofs.

The rooms are equipped with the most cutting-edge technologies as well as: latex mattresses, hypoallergenic pillows, energy-saving lighting, fire-resistant doors, telephone in the bedroom and in the bathroom, safety grab bar next to the bathtub and shower, both equipped with overhead shower adjustable jet.

For your tranquillity and safety, we have placed a 15-inch safe in each room that can also hold a laptop, where needed. JUNIOR SUITE
The comfort of a bedroom and the practicality of a small living room: this is how the Junior Suite was born, which combines the practicality of the Bedroom with a large double bed and the small living room, equipped with a sofa that can be turned into an extra bed, where necessary.

A single space with two communicating rooms, suitable for accommodating small families, travelling companions and all those visitors who wish to find the comfort of their home recreated thanks to the small living room independent of the double bedroom.

THE BREAKFAST
Enjoying one’s breakfast while admiring Brunelleschi’s masterpiece. The breakfast room is located on the 6th floor and has a spacious and cosy panoramic terrace overlooking the Duomo that offer a spectacular view at every hour of the day thanks to its privileged position.

A rich breakfast buffet has been set up for the customer which includes coffee (espresso, American, cappuccino), tea, hot chocolate, and fruit juices American Breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, frankfurters, cheeses, fresh cold cuts (salami, ham), fresh cheeses (fontina cheese or ricotta).

Continental Breakfast: fresh fruit, fruit in syrup, brioches, jams in more flavours and dietetic, butter, nutella, biscuits and toasted bread (in resealable packages with freshness seal), seasonal and typical cakes, cereals, freshly baked bread (wholemeal, Tuscan, sandwich loaf), and yoghurt (plain, with fruit and dietetic).

CAFFÈ ASTRA AL DUOMO
Located on one of the main streets that lead to the Duomo, the Caffè Astra al Duomo is ideal for a pleasant break in the daily rhythm, open throughout the day, providing a delicious selection of brioches for breakfast, tasty sandwiches, and typical local dishes for lunch.

In our Tea Room you can also enjoy an excellent leaf tea, choosing from the over thirty specialties proposed; you can also enjoy an afternoon break in total relaxation.

MEETING ROOMS
The Hotel Laurus al Duomo is part of the Congress Centre “Centro Congressi al Duomo” and offers congress and public entertainment services (concerts, theatrical performances, fashion shows, etc.) thanks to the use of the rooms of the Auditorium al Duomo.
