In the hinterland of Provence, near the ramparts of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a jewel of the independent French family hotel group SFH, the hotel Le Domaine du Mas de Pierre is writing the next great chapter of its history.

15 years after its opening, the 5* hotel, member of Relais & Châteaux, is reinventing itself around a new identity: Domaine du Mas de Pierre. After a year and a half of extensive restoration work, a new relaxed and friendly luxurious resort invites itself in the heart of a gorgeous 8-hectare garden.

Now open year-round, Domaine du Mas de Pierre reveals its new facilities. The 76 rooms and suites, entirely revamped in 2021, all have a private outdoor area and are distributed among nine authentic Provençal bastides.

THE BASTIDES PRESTIGE
Under fully vegetated roofs, two magnificent novel buildings take up residence in the gardens. The design of these two French bastides combines authentic Mediterranean flair with soft colour accents and moods tinged with blue, pink or fuchsia.

In the 22 elegant rooms (Prestige Deluxe, Prestige Junior Suite, Prestige Suite, Prestige Suite With Whirlpool Bath, some connecting), Toile de Jouy adorns in light touches headboards, bed runners, pillows and Louis XV.

Lacquered or silver baroque chests of drawers and console tables, meridians and roomy sofas invite romanticism. Enhanced by the refined natural stone covering the whitewashed walls and floors, the ambience is cosy and stylish.

PRESTIGE SUITES WITH WHIRLPOOL BATH
Let the magic of these sumptuous and intimate suites unfold in a verdant landscape. Two Prestige Suites With Whirlpool Bath in beautiful blue or pink, or fuchsia nuances offer you an exceptional getaway setting combining refinement, modernity and extreme comfort. Average size of 55-57 m², comprising a bedroom and a lounge with dining area.

Whether on the ground or first floor, each Prestige Suites With Whirlpool Bath features a private terrace with outdoor furniture and a whirlpool bath, a king-size (200×200) or two twin-size beds, and a sofa bed to accommodate one or two additional guests. The bathroom is spacious with a double washbasin, walk-in shower and bathtub. A dedicated and personalised turndown service is at your disposal.

LA BASTIDE DES FLEURS
Fully privatizable, “La Bastide des Fleurs” perfectly marries all the charm of a matchless home with the service provided by a luxury hotel. This Bastide, built with natural stones on a perfectly landscaped setting, unveils its six new luxury suites.

Around the heated pool, cabanas and reserved sunbeds invite you to relish the Mediterranean way of life, lulled by the song of the cicadas. Exclusive use is possible on request. The swimming pool is heated (except for the winter season). During the winter period, the SPA pool is heated and accessible to hotel guests.

SUITES FLEURS – ADULT ONLY
The Prestige Suites of La Bastide des Fleurs are spacious and refined and offer the elegance of a luminous apartment. Located inside La Bastide des Fleurs, they have an area of 54 square meters (580 square feet) and a large terrace.

Arranged like a luxurious apartment, they have a master bedroom with a king-sized bed with extremely soft satin “wood-fiber” bed linen, a plasma TV with a multimedia console, a spacious marble bathroom with a bathtub and separate Italian-style shower, silky Egyptian cotton sponges, double sinks, a private toilet, Bulgari guest products, a large and well-arranged dressing room to make your stay as comfortable as possible, an independent living room with a corner sofa, a chimney (in one of the suites) and a flat-screen TV, extended with a dining room.

Individual air conditioning, broadband Internet and wifi, a large safe, iPad available, exclusive in-room welcome, personalized turndown service, Nespresso machine. Exclusive access to the private pool, reserved cabanas and a bar area with complimentary soft drinks.

LA TABLE DE PIERRE
In line with our current evolution, the gastronomic restaurant of Domaine du Mas de Pierre has undergone a complete makeover. Opened onto the gardens, Chef Emmanuel Lehrer’s table interprets nature’s generosity throughout the seasons.

Discover our elegant dining room sheltered in the Provençal countryside, where gourmand pink and purple notes mingle and the evening’s subdued glow casts a lovely sense of romance.

LIS ORTO
Bistrot Lis Orto is anchored by the main pool of the Domaine. Open for lunch and dinner, this new address welcomes you in the typical Nice bistro style. The dishes, inspired by cross-generational Southern French cuisine, are created from regional produce.

Dishes, inspired by cross-generational Southern French cuisine, are created from regional produce. Voilà, the essence of Lis Orto’s identity! From the staple Niçois-Style Stuffed Mini-Vegetables to the traditional Niçoise Salad, the Bistrot prides itself in its genuine regional authenticity.

À la carte, depending on the day’s catch and what local producers bring daily: Artisan Caught Swordfish Paired with Sautéed Fennel and Zucchini, Beef Flank Steak a la plancha with its Tomatoes and Mashed Potatoes, or Risotto Carnaroli with Spicy Coconut Cream, Melon and Peas.

In tune with the times, the bistro adds a menu dedicated to well-being and pleasure around its flagship dish: the “Salade Niçoise”. A must-have salad from the Nice hinterland, made with fresh and local ingredients such as tuna belly, tomatoes, celery, artichokes, radishes, peppers, hard-boiled eggs, anchovies and olives.

From Monday to Sunday, Bistrot Lis Orto offers its daily specials on the slate where creativity meets simplicity from Pissaladière to Roasted Red Mullet, and Mackerel Bruschetta with its ‘au gratin’ Ratatouille. Based on produce deliveries, favourite stars on the menu are Burger of the Day, Dombes Squab, Aged Beef or Calf’s Liver.

THE BAR
Enjoy the incoming sunlight from Le Bar and its large bay window directly opening onto the main terrace of the Domaine. From the counter to the lounges, the ambience is cheerful and colourful. Coffee time is anytime of day or night.

A selection of champagnes and regional wines to be paired up with a delicious array of Provençal tapas. Our Tapas Specialities: charcuterie boards, local country-style terrines and Nice specialties to share.

The great classics of fragrant cocktails flavoured with herbs from our scent garden, our homemade pastis or a chilled glass of rosé add a touch of Provençal flair. Around-the-clock, herbal teas made from aromatic plants of our garden who give a pride of place to verbena, mint, thyme, and the like.

Open Monday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 12:00 am. Refined snacks at lunch and dinner from 12:00 to 22:00. Afternoon Tea revisited at 32€ per person from 2pm to 6pm – savory & sweet treats with homemade hot chocolate “lollipop”!

At the edge of the lagoon, a straw hut bar called “La Paillotte du Lagon” serves its selection of of salads (Salade Niçoise, Caesar salad, Burrata from Puglia), homemade fries, homemade and Italian ice creams, granitas, fruit salad, Haribo sweets, chouchous.

THE SPA
The Domaine du Mas de Pierre opens the doors to a new world of 2000 m² exclusively dedicated to the well-being of body and mind. Breathe in, breathe out, paradise is there. As you enter the spa, a unique, sensual and captivating fragrance reveals the olfactory identity of this wellness sanctuary. Its secret: the tuberose flower. Its name: Volupté

In a vegetal, mineral and pearly decor, where a few references to Matisse remind us of Provencal culture, the first floor of the spa reveals its 12 cabins. On the menu: Face and body treatments, massages and wraps, balneotherapy…

Exclusive, the cabin reserved for couples, honey-mooners and duos, invites you to relax in its private hammam and private outdoor jacuzzi with breathtaking views of the Domaine’s gardens.

THE LAGOON
Heaven on earth still exists, and to prove it, Domaine du Mas de Pierre introduces its most unique lagoon: a genuine oasis hidden under the palm trees with its adjoining beach, waterfalls, and slides. A fantastic island ambience to enjoy with your chosen one or family.

CHILDREN’S PARADISE
After the big waterfall, children have a dedicated play area with a 10-meter-long slide (4-years old and up). Climbing rocks and a cave, accessible directly from the water, holds a secret sculpture of Alice in Wonderland’s Queen of Hearts.

TIME-OUT AT THE BEACH
Set back from the bastides and through a green entrance is the lagoon with its Provençal rock mountain border. Deckchairs are stretched out on the sandy beach or immersed in water to let you sit back and relax under the soothing water jets. Perfect for relieving tension from your neck, back and shoulders!

A PARADISE OF TEMPTATIONS

POOLS & JACUZZIS
In addition to the new lagoon, Domaine du Mas de Pierre offers three swimming pools of dreamlike dimensions and several jacuzzis scattered around on the premises.

MAIN SWIMMING POOL
Enlarged and completely restored, the central pool extends its lengths to 25 meters. It gathers around it deckchairs and arbors for two, all draped in white. The main pool will remain heated at 28°C after the winter vacations for the entire season. You can enjoy the SPA pool which is heated and accessible to hotel guests.

INDOOR SWIMMING POOL
Around a first space reserved for relaxation and the joys of water, THE SPA unveils a large swimming pool of 18 meters long. Heated all year round and surrounded by deckchairs, it offers swimming lanes and a fitness trail, relaxing water jets, hydromassage and bubbling benches, waves and counter-current aquabikes. Children between the ages of 4 and 12 may use the spa pool only from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The presence of a parent is required.

ADULTS-ONLY POOL
Reserved for adults, the Bastide des Fleurs pool is exclusive. A cinematic setting that invites you to calm and pleasure. The “Adult Only” pool temperature is 28 degrees as of April 14. You can enjoy the SPA pool which is heated and accessible to hotel guests.

JACUZZI AT LE SPA
An outdoor jacuzzi sits on the terrace overlooking the garden and extends the well-being experience of spa treatments.

Our double cabin, located on the first floor of LE SPA, will delight duos, couples or honeymooners with its private jacuzzi—an exceptional moment of sharing.

IN-ROOM JACUZZI
In the new bastides, two “Prestige Suites Jacuzzi” feature a private jacuzzi on their terrace for an unforgettable experience.

THE GARDENS
Enchanting gardens designed by landscape architect Bruno Ricci of the Jean Mus garden design firm. The eight hectares of the Domaine are filled with century-old olive trees, fruit trees, flowers and Provencal plants distilling the scents of the Mediterranean.

For an enchanted interlude, there is also a greenhouse with orchids and an aviary where colorful parakeets chirp. A few steps away, a rose garden bursts with the colors of love, and a bamboo forest transports you to a land of wonders. Fountains here and there lead to the fragrance garden and the vegetable garden.

AN ARTISTIC JOURNEY
From a beautiful introduction proposed by the Basque artist Zigor, sculptures by some of the greatest names in art can be discovered in the four corners of the Domaine. This is the case of the artist Théo Tobiasse whose Venus is a hymn to love, the sculptures of Sacha Sosno, friend of Henri Matisse, or those of the Monegasque Jean-Michel Folon.

KIDS CLUB
As in the best dreams, a 150 m² playground is open to children. A space to return to childhood, entirely inspired by the fabulous tale “Alice in Wonderland”. Mushrooms and magic cards to hide in, cups to turn on, a giant teapot to slide in : the whole fantastic universe of Lewis Carroll is reproduced here. And for the bravest, the zany Cheshire Cat draws up its springs up to swing freely.

THE EUROPEAN ECOLABEL
The hotel has been awarded the “European Ecolabel” since July 2019 and is committed to regular monitoring of its water and energy consumption. It uses “green and organic” renewable energy for its operations and filtered water for its pools.
