Le Sodole, a friendly Country Resort, is in the heart of Tuscany, between Pisa and Florence, on gentle hills covered with vineyards. Its 12 spacious apartments, with kitchens and rustic but elegant furnishings, are a natural refuge for those who want to relax, while perhaps enjoying an excellent local Chianti alongside the pool – or for those who need to stay because of employment in our area, and prefer to stay in the country, sharing our love and respect for nature, perhaps permitting themselves a relaxing sauna or a purifying Turkish bath.

In a fascinating vaulted-ceiling room Le Sodole Restaurant propose particular review traditional Tuscan dishes. We also offer to all our guests the possibility of trying out the game of golf on our practice course, with its driving range and 9-hole putting green.

LOCATION
Le Sodole Country Resort is in the centre of Tuscany, along the FI-PI-LI (Florence-Pisa-Livorno) highway, approximately 30 km from Pisa and 50 km from Florence. The recommended exit is “Pontedera,” a town known for having created the mythical Vespa Piaggio, to which a museum is now dedicated.

The area, characterised by gentle hills covered with vineyards and forests, is the ideal place for those who want to easily reach art towns, such as Lucca, Volterra, San Miniato, Siena and San Gimignano.

The Tyrrhenian coast can be reached easily (40 minutes by car for Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, an hour for Bibbona and Donoratico), while from Piombino (an hour and a half by road) you can embark for the fascinating island of Elba (an hour by boat).

APARTMENTS
Le Sodole Country Resort has 12 comfortable apartments in various sizes, each containing a kitchen with refrigerator, dishes and utensils, air conditioning or heating, digital television with Sky, wi-fi, internet, hairdryer and safe deposit box.

Each apartment has a name and a colour, associated with a grape or a wine from the degli Azzoni Avogadro winery. Guests can taste these excellent products in the tasting room. The Vermentino apartment on the ground floor is designed to receive disabled persons.

CHIANTI
Chianti is one of the largest apartments in the Resort. Located on the ground floor, remindsone of the red wines of the company Azzoni: Chianti. The Chianti’s area start 50 meters before the arrival at the Le Sodole. The apartment has two bedrooms one with two double beds, one with two or three single beds, one bathroom in front of the bedrooms, a spacious living / dining room with a sofa bed and kitchenette.

PINOT GRIGIO
The Pinot Grigio apartment recalls the purplish grey grape which is considered a mutation from Pinot Nero. It results in a light golden yellow coloured wine with copper tones and a slightly bitter flavour, rather acidic and high in alcohol content.

The grape’s grey colour is present in the furnishings. This attic apartment contains a double bedroom with bath, living/dining room with double sofa bed, another bath and a kitchen. On the loft above the bedroom there are two single beds. The apartment is situated on the first floor.

VERMENTINO
Vermentino, a grape which benefits from proximity to the sea, is found throughout the Mediterranean. It results in a straw-yellow coloured wine with greenish tones and a slightly bitter flavour.

The colour of its reflections has been chosen to decorate this apartment, containing a room with two single beds, a kitchen and bath. This apartment, the only one on the ground floor, is completely accessible for the handicapped.

MERLOT
This apartment’s name evokes one of the vineyards of the degli Azzoni Avogadro estate. The Merlot grape is of French origin but present throughout the world because of its famous adaptability. The result is an intense ruby-red wine, fruity and aromatic but also tannic, full-bodied and well-balanced.

The Merlot attic apartment, with its ruby red furnishings, contains a double bedroom, living/dining room with double sofa-bed, a kitchen and bathroom. On the loft there is another sofa-bed and two single beds. It’s situated on the first floor.

RESTAURANT
In a fascinating vaulted-ceiling room has opened a new restaurant. Open on dinner time give you the opportunity to taste excellent traditional Tuscan food prepared with careful selected raw materials and pairings with wine from our cellar.

Personalized meetings and seminars (workshops, conferences, small congresses for up to 50 people) can be organized. Memorable evenings can be created for a public attentive to the quality of local food products.

The structure is furnished with video-projector and internet wi-fi, and also with a modern, functional kitchen for coffee breaks, working breakfasts, and above all, professional wine and gastronomy tastings, including some of the local excellencies with which the Country Resort collaborates, and vines from the degli Azzoni Avogadro cantina.

WELLNESS
To give your body both emotions and vitality, you are invited to visit our wellness room containing sauna and emotional shower. In a room naturally litby large windows, from where you can admire the garden and countryside, wasset up a space with Technogym equipment.

Here are also held lessons inyoga and Pilates with our teachers. You have the opportunity to take advantage of the valuable services of the physical coach Giovanni Vaglini, Doctor of Physical Education degree at the University of Turin.

In an atmosphere of quiet relaxation, where colors and lights create the right atmosphere to sip a good herbal treatments, you can have treatment as Shiatsu, Ayurvedic massage Relaxing, Reflexology and Tuscany Massage with olive oil and essences of our land.

The ancient therapy of Massage promotes mental balance, cleanses and maintains the health of our body, is a real practice of wellness that leads to a state of deep rest and relaxation

GOLF CLUB
At Le Sodole Country Resort you will find a spacious golf practice course that covers an area of approximately 3 hectares, with a length of approximately 220 meters, well-inserted within a natural context of local Tuscan fauna and vegetation.

The practice course, open all year, is composed of 4 covered 9 open practice points on synthetic grass carpets. Near the starting point there is a 9-hole 160 sqm synthetic grass Putting Green (created by Brilliant8 following the design of Nicklaus Design©). Golf clubs are available for players to rent. The pleasant clubhouse contains changing rooms, a reception area and an equipment room.

If you want to familiarize yourself with this sport or improve your game you can take individual or group lessons with our professional and very experienced instructor Alfiero Pellegrini. Lessons for children can be reserved. Our practice course is affiliated to the Italian Golf Federation

RECEPTION SERVICES
Open from 8 am to 6 pm for information, to send or receive faxes, to make photocopies and to rent bicycles. Visits are organized to the degli Azzoni Avogadro cantina.

LAUNDRY SERVICE
This service is available with laundry pickup before 10 am and return before 8 pm the following day (excluding Saturdays and holidays). Change of towels and daily rearrangement services available.

TRANSFER TO/FROM AIRPORT 
Upon request the Resort provides guests with a service of transfer to and from Pisa or Florence airports. Our driver will be waiting for you when you arrive with a card bearing your name, then accompany you directly to the Resort.

ACTIVITIES
Enjoy trekking on trails that pass through the Resort, or enjoy pleasant moments at our fresh-air pool from morning until evening at 8 pm.

BY RESERVATION
Tickets for museums, cooking courses, bicycle rentals, excursions to surrounding areas, horseback riding at the stable a few kilometres away, tennis and golf.
