Every morning our chef carefully selects the best fruits and vegetables from our land. From this meticulous selection, made with passion and devotion, dishes inspired by the rural peasant gastronomic traditions are born, revisited with a gourmet note.

Immerse yourself in wine? You can, and is also good for health! The SPA at Masseria Ancella, with treatments based on grapes and wine, is one of the few in Puglia and Southern Italy. The exclusivity of vinotherapy, or “wine therapy”, is due to the detoxifying, tonic and aesthetic bioactivating properties of the treatments.

There is nothing better than to have lunch and dinner in a welcoming atmosphere, with genuine dishes and the typical warmth of a Pugliese farmhouse. This is why we organise events with themed menus and traditional Apulian dishes revisited by our chef.

ROOMS & SUITES
Characterised in a refined and authentic style, the rooms, the apartments and the two Trulli of the ancient Masseria preserve the typical intimacy of an elegant stay amongst the olive trees of Puglia, a few steps from the sea.

VINEYARD SUITES
Simple, refined, functional and authentic: these are the rooms dedicated to the vines, our biggest heritage, which also inspired the restyling of the structure. They overlook the large garden of the Masseria, full of olive and citrus trees, and in the inner courtyard that leads to the kitchen.

Sleeping here means waking up with the smells of cakes and pastries prepared each morning by our cook, amongst the perfumes of the fruits trees surrounding the rooms. The furniture is warm, simple and weling. The showers are modern, set in the ancient stone of the farmhouse.

JUNIOR SUITES
In the Junior Suite you can finally realise the dream of sleeping in a real Apulian Trullo, looking at the stones set in the characteristic cone shape: these mini apartments are equipped with every comfort (TV, minibar, heating, etc) and are an unmissable experience unique in the world today.

Experience the magic of this enchanting place, where time seems to stand still. The Trulli overlook the garden and the internal courtyard, typical of the farmhouse, which preserves intimacy and tranquillity. They have a modern shower set in stone and essential and characteristic furnishings in keeping with the environment.

MASTER SUITES
Both accommodation and comfort emerge here in the Master Suites of the Masseria, where antique furniture and huge fireplaces give the room class and elegance. Also, ideal for families and larger groups, located in the upper part of the farmhouse, overlooking a beautiful stone terrace from which you can see the sea and the typical Apulian landscape, made of red earth and olive trees.

The Farmer’s Suite and that of the Groomsman are equipped with every comfort and finished with ceramic and iron details handmade by local artisans. The Suite of the Traveller is the perfect retreat for couples, who can relax in the large Jacuzzi set in the centenary stone of the spacious and bright bedroom, perhaps accompanied by a good glass of wine.

RESTAURANT CAPATOSTA
The privilege is to know the history of each product: in the kitchen of the Capatosta Restaurant, a long and patient process is refined every day, choices made with respect for the seasonality of the ingredients.

According to the harvest in our vegetable garden, our chef invents dishes and specialties inspired by the local gastronomic tradition, skillfully combining flavours and aromas. Our kitchen is the perfect synthesis between culture and taste, seasonality and research of the best raw ingredients.

Every dish, conceived and prepared here, offers unique sensations, as only the Pugliese gastronomy can do. The Masseria is surrounded by olive trees and a long avenue of citrus groves, which overlook the historic rooms and Trulli.

Behind the structure there is our vegetable garden, where every day we collect the fruits and vegetables with which we make refined specialties, including typical appetizers and characteristic desserts.

THE SPA
In the splendid scenery of an ancient natural cellar, Masseria Ancella offers Wine Therapy, an exclusive treatment based on grapes and wine. Grapes and wine have numerous revitalising properties beneficial for both the skin and for circulation, able to counteract stress and the skin aging process. Historically, grape-based treatments were used by the ancient Romans, in ancient Greece and by the Arab populations.

The grape, in fact, thanks to its antioxidant properties and high content of polyphenols, is an excellent ally for beauty: reducing wrinkles, toning, cleansing the body, moisturising the skin and improves microcirculation. Wine is a real beauty elixir: plunging into a tub full of the “nectar of the Gods” is certainly an exciting and unique experience.

In the immediate vicinity of the hotel are the crystalline beaches of the coastline of Brindisi and some of the most beautiful villages in Italy, including the beautiful Ostuni (the “White City”), the characteristic Locorotondo and the iconic Alberobello.

OSTUNI (11 Km)
Ostuni, “One of the most beautiful villages in Italy” noted by the English newspaper The Telegraph, is located a few kilometres from our Masseria, crouched on a small hill overlooking a valley of ancient olive trees.

At sunset, this beautiful town from which you can see the sea, is pink, resembling some typical images of the Greek islands. Stop here for a relaxing stroll, looking at the beauty and tasting good local food.

LOCOROTONDO (19 Km)
When the streets of Locorotondo, at this time are more alive than ever. The beautiful village, on top of a hill, is preparing to host festivals, high-level concerts and evocative religious festivals.

The “cummerse”, the characteristic sloping stone roofs of the houses of the historic centre, emerge from the olive fields of the Valle d’Itria. This village is the perfect place to get lost in search of local flavours!

ALBEROBELLO (28 Km)
Homeland of the Trulli known all over the world, the city of Alberobello is a World Heritage site. The heart of the village, located on a hill, is entirely composed of the characteristic conical roofs of the original houses hand built in stone and whitewashed with lime. Walking through the alleyways you can admire the uniqueness of more than 1000 Trulli, the discerning habits and customs typical of this place.

TORRE GUACETO (34 Km)
This beautiful and vast nature reserve is perfect for relaxing in contact with unspoilt nature or for having fun with the little ones. Located on the Adriatic coast of the high Salento, the Marine Protected Area, is characterised by breath-taking landscapes and a crystal-clear sea. A trip here, in what is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches in Puglia, is an incredible experience.

POLIGNANO A MARE(34 Km)
A True Jewel of Puglia and the South, Polignano a Mare is one of the most beautiful Italian cities, with its historic centre in white stone with the characteristic balconies overlooking the sea.

Each alleyway is marked by the presence of Arab, Byzantine, Spanish and Norman traces. Domenico Modugno lived in Polignano, famous all over the world for his song “Volare” and Pino Pascali, a famous sculptor and artist has here a dedicated Museum of Contemporary Art.
