The masseria is located in a strategic position: a few kilometers from the amazing baroque Lecce, the Byzantine Otranto and the whitest Santa Maria di Leuca, you can easily reach the most beautiful beaches of Puglia such as Torre dell’Orso, San Foca, Roca and its Grotta della Poesia, the Baia dei Turchi and the Punta Palascìa lighthouse.

If you want to experience the Salento farmhouse for yourself, you may choose to book the whole structure and have our staff at your disposal available for your family and friends. You will experience unique moments in total privacy, with all the services of a villa equipped with every comfort.Eight luxury rooms, a Spa, an outdoor swimming pool, a large garden with fruit trees, teak sunbeds and shaded corners to enjoy your summer days in relaxation.

From breakfast to happy hour by the pool, from lunch to dinner, to the cleaning service, we take care of it all, so that you can fully enjoy every moment of your holiday.

ROOMS & SUITES
We believe that details really make the difference. For this reason, the design of each room is the result of careful research among second-hand dealers, flea markets and antique shops from which we choose unique pieces of the Salento handcraft tradition.

We restore objects, reinvent them giving them a new life. For this reason, each room of the Masseria has its own identity and its unique atmosphere. We have arranged every space as if we had to live it. And just like home, your pets are welcome in every room.

SUITE
The Suites are found on the first floor and differ from each other in size and position. Each of them is defined by its unique style. While some of them have large windows overlooking the countryside and the outdoor swimming pool, others have a terrace facing the animal paddock. Some of them are equipped with bathtub, others with a walk-in shower. Each room has its own private space despite the adjoining terraces.

SUPERIOR ROOM
The Superior rooms are located on the ground floor and have direct access to the garden. They measure about 20 square meters plus the bathroom featured with the bathtub or the walk-in shower.

Rooms are provided with: mini bar, satellite TV, free wifi, sound system, air-conditioning unit and underfloor heating. Bathroom and pool equipment: bathrobe and courtesy kit made up of cruelty free products and LAV (Anti Vivisection League) certified.

CLASSIC ROOM
Our Classic room is located on the first floor with a terrace overlooking the horse paddock. The room measures 13 square meters plus the bathroom with a large walk-in shower.

It is provided with: mini bar, satellite TV, free wifi, sound system, air-conditioning unit and underfloor heating. Bathroom and pool equipment: bathrobe and courtesy kit made up of cruelty free products and LAV (Anti Vivisection League) certified.

THE CHEF
What makes a course unique? The chef’s hand, his creativity and talent, his care for the raw material. Antonio is a son of the Apulian culinary tradition: he is a tightrope walker in the kitchen and a real ham of the good food.

He has an inborn talent: he’s able to transform the Masseria’s products into taste experiences he can tell you about during the convivial dinner (which is the Prosperi’s trademark), or even the wood oven pizza ritual.

THE GARDEN
Puglia is a land of agri-food excellences. Every day we take care of our vegetable garden, our plants, and the 4 ha of olive groves and fruit trees. Feel free to stroll around the fruit garden and pick peaches, cherries, figs and pomegranates.

We turn everything we collect into unique dishes, unforgettable recipes that make breakfasts, lunches and dinners in Masseria such a special experience. Even honey is local: next to the garden there are 40 hives with so many happy working bees.

SPA & WELLNESS
The Masseria’s Bellavita is made up of so much relaxation and pampering. The wellness space is part and parcel of Prosperi’s offer, and that’s why we wanted the Spa not to be a separate space but rather a vital part of our home.

We are open all year round: from November to March, you can take a break from your everyday life by booking a day Spa with Apulian aperitivo for you and your friends (minimum of 4 guests).

TREATMENTS
Our Spa is special: it’s a friendly, warm and panoramic place surrounded by nature. Here you will find the steam bath, personalized treatments in the massage room (available upon request), a heated indoor pool with jacuzzi. You can enjoy an outdoor swimming pool and gym between the sky and olive trees.

THE FARM
The donkey is the symbol of Masseria Prosperi,not by chance. A wonderful being sung by Pindar in his Odes, a keeper of secrets for Aristophanes, the paradigm of a boundless grace in much literature of all time. Our donkeys wait for you with many other friends, horses, dogs, cats, geese, goats and more!

Many of them were found, others were saved, others arrived by chance and bound themself forever to our family. Their company is a precious gift for everyone: it will brighten your days and long summer evenings. Our animal friends, cheerful and gentle, wait for your cuddles and caresses. Children will enjoy the most authentic contact with nature and the countryside.

Salento is a casket of intense tastes, ancient flavors, unique productions that come from an exceptional tradition full of treasures. We have been cultivating our land with love, collecting its fruits and preparing them with care to let you taste the unmistakable flavour of Puglia. OREGANO
The aromatic herb that grows wild in Otranto. We collect, dry and prepare it with care. It’s perfect to enrich any recipe.

CAPERS
One of the typical products of the Salento landscape and the rural tradition. Already appreciated by the Greeks, they make each food taste unique and unmistakable.

TOMATO SAUCE
The vivid and most passionate fruit of our land, the tomato is Puglia, it represents Salento: its harvest is a moment of real celebration. Discover our homemade sauce.

EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
The green gold of our land, an unmistakable feature of the Salento landscape: intense taste, unmistakable color. Perfect for any occasion.

YELLOW TOMATOES
They are very sweet and rich in antioxidants. They’re delightful even without seasoning, yellow tomatoes are a gourmet excellence in our garden to be discovered.

YELLOW TOMATO SAUCE
Yellow tomatoes are an ancient variety: in the beginning all tomatoes were this color. The complete lack of acidity of these tomatoes makes their sauce irresistible.

OLIVES
Olives are one of the most precious gifts of our land. We collect them with love and prepare them in a brine that enhances their taste and makes them taste so special.

SPICY
It takes all the Salento sun to give its typical taste explosion: we introduce you our chili. Raised and processed with care, it becomes an exceptional product to add depth and a real soul to any food.

MILLEFIORI HONEY
Caring for bees means caring for the planet. Our bees give us delicious honey.

SEA & LAND
Blue Flag beaches, red clay and white villages. In this brightly colored area of Salento even the experiences become more intense: on request we arrange horseback riding along the coast, bike tours among the olive trees and the maritime pines that surround the Alimini lakes, dives from the stacks and kitesurfing, boat or kayak trips, day trips to discover the red clay of the Bauxite Lake or a visit where the two seas match, off the white Leuca’s coast.

OTRANTO
Cultural Heritage of UNESCO since 2010, Otranto has fascinated visitors for centuries with its impressive castle overlooking the sea, the Alfonsina Tower and the ancient walls that surround the ancient village, the Norman cathedral with the famous floor mosaic, international excellence of Byzantine art. Get lost in the narrow stone streets, typical alleys, the windy squares and finally reach the sea.

EXPERIENCES
Many activities to experience are waiting for you in Masseria: you can get to know the bees, living the garden and help us pick the wild herbs (all year round) and the olives (on October), learning to weave the wicker and shaping terracotta, dancing the pizzica and cooking local delicacies. NEGRAMARO
In March 2014, the Negramaro’s shut themselves up in Masseria Prosperi for a whole month, leaving the world outside and start creating. They’re working on new pieces, cooking, playing. They live in a different time and dimension. “Sei tu la mia città” videoclip, shot in the Masseria, testifies to those unforgettable days.

SUCRETTE COUTURE
Sucrette is a sophisticated brand that enhances femininity in its elegance. The brand has been created by Terry Calogiuri, creative designer and artisan born in Lecce who has chosen our Masseria for the launch of the brand’s collections.

FERZAN OZPETEK 
Masseria Prosperi has captivated film directors such as Ferzan Ozpetek and Giovanni Veronesi who have chosen it to take, among others, “Allacciate le cinture” and “Una donna per amico”.
