ISLAND GEM
In the warm waters of the azure Indian Ocean lies a tropical dream island – Mirihi Island Resort. Just 350 meters in length and 50 meters in width, this tiny gem with it’s pristine nature, fringed-palm beaches and powdery sand, authentic hospitality and celestial quietness invites you to leave your shoes behind and enjoy the ‘art of doing nothing’.

Ringed by 6 km of spectacular house reef; an underwater playground for sea turtles, reef sharks, eagle rays and hundreds of varieties of rainbow-hued fish and our own shipwreck, Mirihi is only a short boat ride from South Ari Atoll Marine Protected Area where whale sharks and manta rays are spotted regularly throughout the year.

VILLAS
Each elegant villa has a unique Dhivehi (Maldivian) name derived from the land or sea. Comprising 6 Beach Villas, 30 Water Villas, 1 Two-Bedroom Water Suite and 1 Two-Bedroom Beach Suite, the villas are sublimely located around the island and above the bustling house reef, offering infinite views of the endless horizon. Whether from your private deck or private beach, each villa is the perfect escape from the rest of the world.

BEACH VILLA
6 tastefully designed Beach Villas (53 m2) are conveniently located on the sunset side of the island with direct access to our talcum powdery beach. Enclosed by lush tropical foliage and swaying palms, these cosy villas offer complete privacy and unmatched ocean views.

These villas offer the same high standard with designer furnishing, polished wooden floors, king or twin beds, semi-open air bathrooms, Bose music system with Bluetooth connectivity, free high speed WI-FI, Nespresso machine, personal safe and fully stocked Villa Bar.

WATER VILLA
Built on stilts above the turquoise lagoon with direct access to our bustling house reef, our 30 Water Villas (53 m2) is home for avid snorkellers. With a view of the sunrise or sunset, these beautifully designed cosy villas are blessed with the uninterrupted view of the blue ocean from the complete privacy of the sun deck.

All Villas have been designed with the same high-standard designer furnishing, polished wooden floors, king-size or twin beds, en suite bathrooms overlooking the Indian Ocean through glass doors, Bose music system with Bluetooth connectivity, free high speed Wi-Fi, Nespresso machine, personal safe and fully stocked Villa Bar. For safety reasons, the minimum age for children is 8 years for the Water Villa.

BEACH SUITE
Mirihi Maa – named after the Mirihi flower, this 2-Bedroom Beach Suite (180 m2) is the perfect tropical island holiday home for friends and families travelling together.

This suite offers prime beachfront living with spectacular ocean and sunset views from the spacious first floor terrace, direct access to the lagoon, 2 bedrooms with open air bathrooms, 2 expansive living rooms, office space, kitchenette, and a dining area.

WATER SUITE
Fehurihi – named after the Whale Shark, our 2-Bedroom Water Suite (160 m2) is perfect for snorkellers. Located directly above the best part of our magnificent house reef, one could step down the stairs from the sun deck right into a world of colourful marine life.

This suite consists of 2 bedrooms and bathrooms connected by a spacious living room with sublime view of the ocean and a sun deck with mesmerizing Maldivian sunrise view. For safety reasons, the minimum age for children is 8 years for the Water Suite.

MURAKA
Witness an orchestration of colour every evening with our sunset cocktails and dine right above the shimmering water and the fascinating coral reef of Mirihi. At Muraka Restaurant the menu is contemporary and delicious, from tender wagyu beef to tantalizing Maldivian lobster, with an excellent complement of wines and Champagne.

Indulge in our special culinary events, such as the weekly lobster menu highlighting this delectable treasure of the islands. Fresh and locally caught in the South Ari Atoll. One of the resort’s culinary highlights is our “Maldivian Lobster Dinner” event in Muraka restaurant every Wednesday.

The finest quality tuna caught by local fisherman and brought to our kitchens. Explore our comprehensive rum collection, with the best rums brought to you from around the world. We offer the largest selection of rums in the Indian Ocean! This includes Mirihi’s very own excellent Caribbean-style rum, ‘Muraka’. Live music and special events are a thing at Anba, from our after-dinner cocktails with live saxophone to Maldivian music magic.

Muraka rum is a blend of predominantly aged rums, and a very small amount of young rums, from the Caribbean. Our Muraka rum is bottled exclusively for Mirihi and only available with us. It is fruity and rather placed on the sweet side with aromas of delicate coconut, apricot, honey, vanilla and green bananas.

RUHGANDU WINE LOUNGE
Ruhgandu is a unique and intimate wine lounge showcasing over 300 old and new world wines and Champagnes. Our knowledgeable staff will guide you through your discovery of not only your favourite labels but rarities from across the globe.

Private dining parties can be arranged for up to six persons, and Ruhgandu is praised for its regular premium Wine Tastings, offering a fabulous sampling of our delicious collection, along with some visiting labels from white to red.

EXECUTIVE CHEF FELIX BAMERT
Hailing from a little town in Switzerland, Felix grew his passion for cooking at very young age from his parents at their restaurant. Ever since, Felix has journeyed through the culinary world gaining experience in fine dining.

After 15 years working at restaurants in Switzerland, Felix moved to Thailand where he met his lovely wife and settled down. His love for the sea, the nature and the peace took him to the Maldives – more specifically to Mirihi.

During his 08 years as the Executive Chef of Mirihi, from 2011 to 2019, Felix revolutionized guest dining experience in Mirihi combining his wealth of modern culinary talent and his impeccable personalized service standard and most importantly his eagerness to personally ensure guest satisfaction.

Loved by the guests and the Team alike, Felix bid farewell to Mirihi to continue his culinary journey back in Thailand as well in Maldives. After a nearly a year, Felix returns to Mirihi in August 2020 to take over Mirihi culinary experience from where he left and take it to another level.

According to Felix, ‘It was a great experience been involved in preopening projects in Thailand as well as Maldives but certainly coming back to Mirihi is coming back home. I am very excited to work with the same Team and together we are looking forward to deliver a memorable dining experience for our esteemed guests.’

DIVING 
Diving is a major attraction here at Mirihi. We are looking at over 40 different dive sites all conveniently located within an hour’s boat ride, from Manta Rays to Whale Sharks to beautiful coral gardens – everything a diver’s heart desires.

You want to learn how to dive here at Mirihi? Our Ocean-Pro Dive Team offers a variety of courses as well. No matter if you have never dived before and simply want to try it or want to get certified. Our courses, from Discover Scuba Diving all the way to Rescue Diver, are tailored to your schedule.

DIVING COURSES
The Ocean-Pro Mirihi Dive Team offers a variety of diving courses. As a PADI 5* Dive Center, we always strive to meet the highest safety and training standards so you can safely enjoy your diving courses. We do try-dives for those who have never dived before or run beginner courses if you wish to finally get certified as a diver.

If you are already certified and want to learn more about diving, our Advanced Course or the Specialities are for you. Or maybe you are ready to take the next step and become a Rescue Diver. In any case, all our courses are individually fit to your needs and time frame.

Mirihi is conveniently located in the South Ari Atoll and offers access to more than 40 dive sites with multiple Manta Ray Spots, the Whale Shark area, countless channel dives and Thilas among them. With our location being almost centered within the Atoll, we can easily adjust our diving plan to the weather and the currents.

We offer daily diving trips with our boats, where we do not stick to a rigid schedule. We prefer to check which dive sites you would like to explore and which are the most suitable for the respective conditions. Our house reef is accessible to you at all times, even at night.

Diving here at Mirihi is possible all year round. The conditions are mostly affected by the Monsoon winds and therefor the major currents. These currents range from barely noticeable to strong. But don’t worry even with strong currents we can always find places to have easy and relaxed dives.

Our house reef is accessible for dives as well. It is home to multiple turtles, eagle rays, a massive school of batfish and many more. There is even a wreck for you to explore. The perfect site for an easy dive to get back into the game – or to explore at night. All our entry level training is done here as well.

All diving equipment for rent is available with us. We take great care in maintaining and servicing all our dive gear to make sure you have a safe experience with us. Our diving fleet is composed of two boats. A modern fibre glass boat and a traditional wooden Dhoni. The crew is exceptionally well-trained in aiding divers and the captains know the Atoll inside out.

KAYAKING & STAND-UP PADDLING
If you feel like being more active, take one of our kayaks and paddle around the island or use one of our stand-up paddle boards. On windy days, you can take advantage of our complete range of windsurfing gear, which is perfect for everyone from beginners to experts. The use of the water sports equipment is complimentary for all our guests.
