THE HISTORY
The Prince George Castriot ( 1405-1468), known as Scanderbeg, was an Albanian nobleman, skilled general and diplomat. He is Albania’s greatest national hero and his deeds inspired Vivaldi who directed the opera “Scanderbeg” in 1716.
Palazzo Scanderbeg dates from the 15th centruy and became Scanderbeg’s residence in 1466. The Palace was completely refurbished in 1843 as we can read from the inscription above the building.

THE SCANDERBERG SUITE
This bright and exclusive suite is located on the fourth and last floor of the Palace. It takes its name for the Albanian hero and prince George Castriot Scanderbeg who commissioned the Palace in the 15th century.
The historical charm, the original high white wooden vaults and the lovely terrace with enchanting Roman sunsets to admire, makes the stay memorable and unique for all of those who want to immerge into the authentic atmosphere of an ancient palace without giving up all day comforts.
