Born as a noble residence of Petrarolo D’Anna family, Patria eighteenth-century palace rises majestic and elegant in the heart of Lecce. Unique with its refined decorations, it’s one of Mauro Manieri’s most important baroque masterpieces.

Over the centuries the palace has experienced all different souls of hospitality. From a sumptuous noble residence, it was turned in a loving home for little orphans, until 1850 when, under the ownership of engineer Giacomo Gridi’s family, it became the first Locanda (inn) for travelers called Locanda “Patria”, which means “homeland”, during the Risorgimento’s period patriotic atmosphere.

A sumptuous but always respectful restyling has brought new light to the Palace, an exceptional and unique trademark of luxury hospitality in Lecce.
