Each of the 11 unique rooms is a separate type with an open-air bath and an indoor bath. Please relax and relax in front of nature. Ryokan Hozantei is close to the headwaters of the Chikugo River, and we ask that you use eco-friendly shampoo in the open-air baths of each guest room for protection.

Not to mention local production for local consumption in Kumamoto and Aso, we are particular about ordering ingredients from all over the country. We will use the seasonal “Flowers of the Four Seasons” abundantly to serve dishes that will please women with all our heart.

The chef’s commitment “Breakfast at Hozantei” is for women, such as a wide variety of rice and small bowls, small country jersey milk (used for the most popular gratin), and soy milk pot for beautiful skin (smooth skin). Only happy things!
Large open-air bath
Hozantei is located in the uppermost stream of Kurokawa Onsen, “Tooku Kurokawa”. A relaxing time to heal your daily stress by spending time in a wild landscape.
Tengu-no-Yu, where the mountain stream flows right next to it, was named “Tengu-no-Yu” because there used to be a large rock that resembled the face of a tengu, and the water came out from under the rock.
Nowadays, my nose has disappeared, but it still has some vestiges and is entertaining everyone. Please spend a luxurious time away from everyday life while feeling the seasonally changing nature in the bathtub full of openness.
“Senjo no Yu”, which is paired with Tengu no Yu, has now changed its shape, and you can enjoy both lukewarm and cold water baths at the same time. Please enjoy the spring-quality bath that is gentle on your skin like a hermit.
