Over the past few years, we have created an environment where guests from both Japan and overseas can spend their time with peace of mind as an inn where Yufuin, which is easy to spend all year round, can feel like another “hometown”.
During your stay, you can enjoy the hot springs without worrying about the time, and the meals, from appetizers to main dishes and sweets, use plenty of seasonal ingredients, and are particular about the menu that changes every time you come. Our purpose in life lies in the smiles of customers who say, “I’ll come again.” Spend precious time with your loved ones and make a special memory.
We strive to provide a homely atmosphere where customers can spend time comfortably, talk easily, and ask anything. How would you like to spend your time in Yufuin? Please feel free to contact us. Yamadaya is within walking distance from the station, and many customers go out for a walk after checking in, and then go for a walk or jog the next morning.
You can also walk to the firefly spot from June to July, and the horse-drawn carriage passes in front of Yamadaya. It is located in the best spot to experience the charm of Yufuin, so customers who cannot come by car can use it with confidence.
We have signed a contract with Eto Farm, which is passionate about growing vegetables, and use safe, fresh, and delicious local vegetables. The organic vegetables picked in the morning are very fresh and juicy, and are well received by repeat customers. We try to incorporate plenty of seasonal ingredients so that you can enjoy Yufuin in every season.
Autumn leaves turn bright red The season when repeat customers are overflowing is autumn excursion, the season of autumn leaves. The season when the colors change slightly varies from year to year, but you can enjoy the spectacular view of autumn leaves and Mt. Yufu from the open-air bath.

Onsen /Hot Spring
The hot spring of our “Yamadaya” is a weakly alkaline simple hot spring that is most typical of Yufuin Onsen. Since the amount of hot water is abundant, the hot water is kept hot and fresh by flowing directly from the source.
In addition, since it is weakly alkaline, the spring quality is gentle enough to cling to the skin, warming the body after bathing and promoting blood circulation. Yamazakura no Yu
“Yamazakura no Yu” is an open-air bath located in a green courtyard. It is a location where you can feel the four seasons of Yufuin with dynamic rocks and a small waterfall.
Yamamomiji no Yu
An open-air bath full of Japanese charm. You can enjoy the contrast between the greenery and the scenery of Yufuin. Hinoki logs are characteristic. The hot springs are replaced quickly, so you can always experience fresh hot springs.
Taro no Yu
“Taro no Yu” is a rare type with two floors. Although it is an indoor bath, it features a high ceiling and an open structure. From the open-air bath on the 2nd floor, you can see the majestic Mt. Yufu.
Hanako no Yu
“Hanako no Yu” is made of rock and has an indoor bath and an open-air bath. You can enjoy the view of Mt. Yufu from the open-air bath.
Asagiri no Yu
Although it is an indoor bath, you can bathe while enjoying the fresh air. This private bath is popular with families with children and elderly guests. You can use it any time you like (available 24 hours).
Yufu no Yu
From the semi-open-air type private bath, you can see Mt. Yufu on a sunny day. Also enjoy the garden view. You can use it any time you like (available 24 hours).
Fantastic light-up, Higashi-goya
Since 2015, we have started lighting up the courtyard.We started lighting up the courtyard with a cup of tea after taking a bath. You can enjoy a fantastic atmosphere while watching the starry sky slowly in a yukata.
You can enjoy “the four seasons of Yufuin” at Yamadaya, which is full of greenery.
In order to be able to get close to the feelings of such customers, we have created a landscape that takes care of the natural greenery. There are playful raccoon dogs, spots where you can sit and take pictures, and we try to make sure that you can enjoy walking around the grounds after taking a bath.
