Yamanokami Onsen is located in the middle of Hanamaki Minami Onsen Gorge, the back room of Hanamaki. It is said that it was named because “Yamazumi Shrine”, which enshrines the god of the mountain, is located here.

When a hot spring that springs out at a high temperature comes into contact with the atmosphere, cooling due to temperature differences, evaporation of solvent components, oxygen reaction, etc. may occur, and precipitation of hot spring components and mixed substances in the source may occur.
This is Yunohana. To be precise, it is called an insoluble precipitate. Yunohana may be particulate and settle on the bottom of the bathtub, or it may become filamentous and float in the hot springs of the bathtub.
Yunohana is also floating in the natural hot springs of Yuukaen, the god of Hanamaki. It may be misunderstood that the bathtub is dirty, but it is a proof that it is a natural hot spring that does not circulate, so please feel free to enter.
Guest rooms
Yuukaen is made by Miya carpenters and others, but its characteristics are reflected in the ceiling and the work of sliding doors. Please take a rest in the Japanese-style room carefully finished by the palace carpenter so that you can heal your daily fatigue as much as possible.
The folded-up ceiling is known as a high-end product among the ceilings. At Yuukaen, not only the lobby but also the ceilings of the guest rooms are similarly crafted.
It is called a case ceiling that is made in an architectural style that creates a regular division pattern by assembling the case edges (goubuchi) vertically and horizontally in a square on the ceiling.

Cooking
The dishes you can enjoy are not only Iwate and Hanamaki’s mountain products, but also high-class ingredients such as Maesawa beef and Iwate beef, local Japanese black beef “Koushi no Ushiou”, platinum pork (platinum pork), and fresh Sanriku.
Using seafood, the chef in the foreground will do the polite work with all his heart. We try to use local Iwate ingredients as much as possible so that you can enjoy the local season and taste. Bespoke dishes are also available, so please let us know when you make a reservation.
Yukaen is surrounded by the nature of Iwate Hanamaki Onsenkyo and the clear air. We are particular about cooking, which can be said to be one of the greatest attractions of hot spring inns.
The chef of this inn is an authentic chef who has honed his skills at restaurants, inns and hotels in Japan and overseas for many years. Our proud dishes, which use abundant seasonal ingredients from local Iwate and add a seasoning called sincerity, have been very well received by our customers.

Hanamaki’s Japanese Black cattle are limited to A5 rank or higher Japanese Black cattle among the healthy and healthy cattle fattened by Hanamaki livestock farmers, and have cleared the stricter selection conditions.
