LUXURY VILLAS
All of our luxurious overwater and island villas are designed to offer maximum space, privacy and unforgettable views. Our villas are split between Chapter One, our original, iconic offering, and the newly launched Chapter Two – you can view their location on our resort map here.

WATER RETREATS & ISLAND RETREATS 
With one to five bedrooms, our 24 Water Retreats all have private pools, and most feature waterslides into the lagoon and a retractable roof over the master bedroom. Hidden away, the two-bedroom island villa is a private haven.

WATER RESERVES & ISLAND RESERVES
With one to four bedrooms, our 27 new Water Reserves are slightly larger than our original overwater villas. Located steps from the beach, our Island Reserves include private pools and expansive indoor and outdoor living space.

4 BEDROOM WATER RESERVE WITH SLIDE
This Water Reserve is spread across two floors and comes with a private pool and a curved water slide delivering you directly into the lagoon.

3 BEDROOM ISLAND RESERVE
Villa 34’s wholly unique design is inspired by the gentle, undulating curves that are found in nature. This three-bedroom beachfront villa is a sprawling 1,956 sqm with not a straight line in sight. It has a freshwater swimming pool and children’s pool with its own water slide. There is also a children’s treehouse by the pool.

2 BEDROOM CRUSOE RESIDENCE 
This two-bedroom beachfront villa has a swimming pool that hugs the façade, with two catamaran nets for lounging in the sun. The master bedroom, situated at the back of the villa has an outdoor bathroom with a bath and two showers encircled by a water feature.

The open plan dining room and kitchen comes with a wine vault, which can be used as a library. The living room has a deep horseshoe-shaped daybed and guest toilet. Upstairs, the guest bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a shower. Connected to the guest bedroom is a children’s room. Overlooking the lagoon is a large balcony with deep daybeds and an outdoor dining table.

1 BEDROOM WATER RETREAT WITH SLIDE
Spread across two floors, the One Bedroom Water Retreat comes with a private pool surrounded by ample area for sunbathing and taking in the ocean vistas. Watch the stars from the comfort of the master bedroom with the villa’s retractable roof.

DINING
Discover all of our dining destinations and experiences available at Soneva Jani and on the untouched islands surrounding us. Our Hosts are happy to customise each experience for a special occasion, celebration, or simply just because.

From the mind of acclaimed Swedish chef, Mathias Dahlgren, the Overseas’ menu is an ode to organic produce and the sea. Dine on pescatarian, vegetarian and plant-based single plates, sharing plates and signature dishes for lunch and dinner. Open for lunch and dinner all week, except Friday.

Dine on a secret menu, prepared by one of our chefs, in a secret, ever-changing location. There is no menu, with each dish tailored to your preferences. Our chef will reveal themselves only after the meal, to talk about the concept, ingredients and what inspired them. It is advised that guests book before 16:00 on Thursday.

With an upstairs deck for watching the sunset, try the Sri Lankan Mud Crab curry, or the Alaskan crabs that rotate through the week. A selection of rosés are the highlight of the drinks menu. Recently voted as the ‘World’s Most Romantic Restaurant’ on CNN.com. Open for lunch and evening drinks on selected days

Dine on a health-conscious, plant-based menu designed by the innovative raw food chef Diana Von Cranach, showcasing unique and simple dishes that revive historical, nearly-forgotten traditional recipes from the Indonesian Spice Islands and South East Asia.

Ninety per cent of the ingredients come freshly picked from Soneva Jani’s organic garden and most dishes will be raw. Expect some unusual ingredients, as well as healing herbs and botanics. Open for dinner all week, except Fridays

So Engaging is our chef’s table, which offers a mystery menu for five very special guests. Get a front row seat to the action, and converse with our chef.

So Primitive’s centrepiece is a fire pit where different cooking techniques are honoured. Think roasting, grilling, searing and cooking in a kettle, clay pots (on coals), salt-crusted baking and cooking over coals.

Seating up to 20 guests, So Imaginative is a private room perfect for celebrations. Our sommeliers can create inspired wine tastings and wine dinners here, selecting the perfect pairings from the wine tower.

Gaze towards the heavens at the first overwater observatory in the Maldives. Sit at one of the four dining tables and dine on an expertly crafted menu while our resident Astronomer is on-hand to help navigate the skies.

THE GATHERING BAR 
Drinks and tapas can be enjoyed at any time at this day-into-evening overwater bar. As the sun begins to set, ease into an organic aperitif or freshly made cocktails, spirits and liqueurs.

THE WINE CELLAR
The Wine Cellar features a selection that includes predominantly organic or biodynamic wines. Chat with our sommeliers or organise a private wine tasting or wine dinner at the destination of your choosing.

NORTH ISLAND
Tucked away on the North Island, this spot is perfect for swimming, snorkelling and time in the sun. Enjoy a pop-up dinner of Maldivian delicacies on our private beach, prepared using what our chef can catch or pick.

DIRECTOR’S CUT BY CHEF NIKKI
Chef Nikki heads up this kitchen, serving modern style sashimi, black cod and other favourites with a contemporary twist. Enjoy a set meal while you take in a film at our overwater silent theatre.

FULL MOON DINNER
A unique dining experience prepared only once a month in celebration of the full moon. Satiate your appetite with dinner under a glowing moon, served on the sandbar of resort’s beach.

Begin your day with fresh fruits and breakfast staples. The day continues with organic salads, live cooking stations, the wood-fired pizza oven, tandoors and grills. Sunset aperitifs lead into our evening menus in the open kitchen.

NON MOTORISED WATER SPORTS
We offer a range of complimentary non-motorised water sports, including kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, windsurfing, kite surfing, night paddleboarding and catamarans. Private tuition is available at an additional charge on an hourly basis.

MOTORISED WATER SPORTS
Experience the ocean with complete freedom. Gliding, diving, skimming – all of this is possible with a SEABOB. Learn to move through the water like a fish, on the surface and beneath the waves.

What happens if you fit a surfboard with a motor? You get an eSurf-board. The eSurf lets you get up to speeds of 56km per hour, making this an exhilarating water sport.

TURTLE ON CALL
Get a glimpse into the lives of some of the Maldives’ sea turtles with the help of our Marine Biologist. Don’t miss your chance to see a mother turtle lay her eggs in the sand, tiny hatchlings make their way to the ocean, or come to the aid of turtles who need assistance.

SUNSET DOLPHIN CRUISE
Enjoy an out-of-this-world experience watching playful dolphins in the light of the setting sun. Cruise into deeper water while indulging in a selection of canapés and sparkling wine, making wonderful memories along the way. Although dolphin sightings are not guaranteed, we know their favourite areas to play.

SONU’S PICNIC 
Head to a deserted beach to experience complete privacy. Take a dip in the crystal clear waters of our turquoise lagoon while you wait for your personal chef to prepare a gourmet picnic lunch.

SONEVA IN AQUA DAY EXPERIENCE 
After your on-shore breakfast, the captain and crew will welcome you aboard Soneva in Aqua and set sail for the snorkelling areas within the Baa Atoll, the only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the Maldives. Keep your eyes peeled for turtles, dolphins and possibly manta rays (*season and weather dependent).

Enjoy a bespoke lunch menu on-board, prepared by your personal chef. After lunch, grab your fins, mask and snorkel for some underwater sightseeing in some of the best spots in the area, followed by some hard earned relaxation time in the sun or in our outdoor Jacuzzi.

Enjoy a personalised treatment of your choice from our on-board massage therapist. As the sun sets, lie in our bowsprit nets and search for playing dolphins. The chef will prepare canapés and pop the sparkling wine upon your return to Soneva Jani.

An exclusive invite to a private dinner on the shores​ of our beautiful lagoon. Take your place at a beautifully set table on the water’s edge and enjoy a delicious bespoke menu, created to suit your culinary preferences.

NORTH BEACH PRIVATE SUNRISE BREAKFAST
Let us take you away to the powdery soft sands where a continental breakfast, prepared on the sea shore, awaits you. As you delight in a delicious morning meal, bask in the almost spiritual moment of the sun rising as the waves lap gently onto the seashore.

SNORKELLING 
Take an aquatic adventure through the waters of the Noonu Atoll and discover the diversity of Maldivian marine life, guided by our resident Marine Biologist. The atoll-native sea turtles and rays may make a special appearance, as you experience the magnificence of life below the sea.

SURFING
Discover secret surf breaks in the Noonu Atoll accompanied by​ our surf instructor/guides. All surf breaks are accessible within a 5 – 35 minute speedboat ride. Surf season is dependent on Mother Nature’s mood, though​ it does peak from May – September.

Waves range from waist to head height. All equipment is eco-friendly and made from recycled wasted, making us the first fully sustainable surfing programme in the world.

LUXURY FAMILY RESORT
Our children’s facilities offer an array of things to do for our youngest Soneva guests, explore our island, frolic on the beach or learn about our natural environment, by land or by sea. Visit the Mini Den – where our youngest guests can let their imaginations run wild.

PRIVATE SUNSET DOLPHIN CRUISE
Treat your family to an exclusive experience never to be forgotten. Enjoy the sunset and watch the playful dolphins on a private cruise in the Maldivian waters, all while indulging in a selection of canapes, champagne and mocktails for the little ones. Although dolphin sightings are not guaranteed, we know their favourite areas to play.

FUN AT THE DEN
Our Mini Den is a technology-free zone, where we encourage all our young guests to learn, play, discover nature, and let their creativity and curiosity run wild. To ensure everyone is engaged in their activities we ask you to make sure their phones and tablets are left in your villa before they come to the Mini Den.
