The Region

Owner’s Cottage
This palatial retreat sits in a magnificent, elevated position to take every advantage of its extraordinary location. Set atop 6,000 acres of stunning pasture-land in Hawke’s Bay, The Farm at Cape Kidnappers affords spectacular 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean.

This expansive, luxurious cottage has four deluxe bedrooms, each with their own open fireplaces, spacious bathrooms and private balconies, with stunning views. Attention to detail reigns supreme as every comfort has been anticipated to ensure an exceptional hospitality experience.

The large and generous living spaces have been cleverly configured so they can be enjoyed as a two-bedroom or four-bedroom cottage.

This exclusive villa has a large living room with stone fireplace, open kitchen and dining area, cooking facilities for a chef if private in-house dining is preferred, two sitting rooms with fireplaces and sumptuous seating, entrance foyer, powder room, stone terrace and outdoor jacuzzi.

This private hideaway is conveniently located just a short walk from the main lodge and day spa.

Ridge Suite
The eight Ridge Suites at Cape Kidnappers are deluxe category suites, set atop a skyline ridge with uninterrupted across the Hawke’s Bay. Spacious and with full wet minibars, Ridge Suites include a luxurious seating area beside a fireplace that opens out to a large private balcony.

Close to lodge facilities including pool, spa and main lodge buildings, the Ridge Suites are beautifully appointed and will make you feel instantly at home. 683 sq. ft. / 63 sq. m.

Lodge Suite
With a stunning rustic-luxe design, the four Lodge Suites are located adjacent to the main Lodge building, offering the convenience of proximity to lodge facilities. Each room has a spectacular uninterrupted view of the farm, golf course and the Hawke’s Bay as well as full (wet) mini bar. 708 sq. ft. / 65 sq. m.

Hilltop Suite
Perched atop the hill, Cape Kidnappers eight Hilltop Suites offer a magnificent view over the lodge and golf course to the vast Pacific. Offering comfort and spectacular vistas these thoughtfully-designed rooms have private balconies, king-sized beds and elegant bathrooms with twin vanities. 500 sq. ft. / 46.5 sq. m.

Hilltop Family Suite
Situated on top of the hill above the Lodge overlooking the rolling farmland to the Pacific Ocean, the two Hilltop Family Suites offer parents a comfortable Master Bedroom and sitting area with private balcony, walk in closet and spacious bathroom.

The second bedroom offers twin single beds and a separate disabled access ensuite bathroom suitable for children of all ages.

The Cuisine
Cape Kidnapper’s harvests an abundance of crops from its own extensive vegetable, fruit and herb gardens.

Generous access to such premium, fresh produce is one of the strong elements that defines the seasonal nature of the cuisine created by Head Chef, James Honore, and his brigade of chefs. With menus changing on a daily basis everything can be showcased at its very best, when crops have reached their peak of flavour.

When James needs to look beyond the farm gates for additional ingredients, he has the good fortune to be able to source stunning produce from the bounty that Hawke’s Bay is so renowned for.

James has long-standing relationships with small, specialty, artisan producers to ensure our guests are presented with exquisite, fine cuisine, during their stay.

For guests who are staying with us, all meals are included within their tariff. We do welcome day guests who would like to dine with us for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is subject to advance booking and availability.

The Spa
We invite you to relax and rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit at The Spa at Cape Kidnappers. Located at the top of the path leading from the main lodge to the Hilltop suites, the spa’s incredible views of Hawke’s Bay will calm and relax you before your treatment even begins.

With 3 treatment rooms (including a couple’s suite, perfect for honeymooners), we offer a collection of massage styles, facials, pedicures, manicures and hair care. All spa treatments are 60-90 minutes in length and packages can be customised to suit your individual needs.

The perfect facial for all skin types, experience the power of the New Zealand’s world-renowned healing Manuka Honey. Helps improve cellular regeneration thereby improving skin texture and skin smoothness. Also helps to promote collagen production.

Cocoon Body Treatment 
This body treatment will care for your entire body, from head to toe. Starting with a full body exfoliation using customised body scrub made from organic products and natural oils, enjoy a scalp massage during a manuka honey or thermal mud body wrap selected to suit your skin’s needs, and finish with a relaxing massage.

Hot Stone Massage
If you would like to experience our Hot Stone Massage, kindly advise in advance. This massage is offered as a sedative, ritualised treatment for relaxation.

Large heated New Zealand river stones are placed on key areas on the body while smaller stones are used as an extension of your therapist’s hands to melt away stress and muscle tension.

Designed by legendary golf architect Tom Doak, the Cape Kidnappers par 71 golf course measures 7,147 yards (6,569 meters) and will challenge golfers of all skill levels.

Completed in 2004, our spectacular New Zealand golf course has been hailed as one of the great modern marvels in golf. Built on a ridge-and-valley landscape and with stunning sea views, Cape Kidnappers Golf Course plays high above the ocean atop dramatic cliffs.

With cliff-edge fairways perched 140 metres above sea level and with surface that remains firm and fast, this course offers holes unlike anything you find elsewhere in the world.

While every hole has a spectacular view of the Bay, some play cautiously alongside deep ravines as others intimidate golfers with deep cliff top bunkers and sheer drops off the very edge of the earth.

The golf complex includes a world-class practice range, putting and chipping greens, a well-stocked golf shop, club house and ladies’ and mens’ locker rooms. Premium ladies’ and mens’ rental clubs are available.

Sunrise Breakfast at Black Reef
