The Harmonie invites guests to experience Vienna’s cultural scene and rich history. Explore the city’s traditional Jewish district and the magnificent city centre as you embark on a journey back in time.

After a long day out and about exploring, our hotel is the perfect place to sit down, relax and reflect on everything you have experienced. The Harmonie is also known as a fine setting for seminars and meetings.

LOCATION
The Servitenviertel in Vienna’s 9th city district is one of the most beautiful parts of Austria’s capital. A fusion of flair, elegance, tradition and history, it takes its name from the Servite Monastery founded here in 1639. Today it is known for its narrow alleys, hip cafés and small boutiques, creating a unique vibe found nowhere else in Vienna.

Insiders refer to the Servitenviertel as Vienna’s arts district – a place home not only to many artists but also to a wide range of protected buildings as well as important cultural institutions such as the Schauspielhaus Wien and the Theater Center Forum.

The district’s vibrant local music scene includes everything from classical music to jazz to unplugged sessions. A touch of French chic and joie de vivre in the heart of downtown Vienna!

ROOMS & SUITES
The rooms and suites at The Harmonie offer a unique backdrop to your stay in Vienna. Options range from classic double rooms in various categories to 33m² suites and even specially designed rooms for allergy sufferers.

With four-star luxury combined with stylish interior design, The Harmonie is a home from home in downtown Vienna where inspiration meets relaxation. Each room is unique and houses a different work by the artist Luis Casanova Sorolla.

DINING
Good food, fine wine, a vibrant city and welcoming atmosphere – welcome to dining at The Harmonie. Start the day the right way with our healthy and hearty breakfast buffet featuring classics and favourites, including a large selection of organic as well as vegan products and also hot dishes.

In the afternoon we serve tea, coffee and cake in the lounge-library-bar, which in the evening is an excellent place to relax with a good glass of wine or a refreshing cocktail.

LOUNGE, LIBRARY & BAR
Situated right at the centre of the hotel, our lounge is the perfect place for those who have had enough of the hustle and bustle of the city and want to get away from it all to chat, sip tea or settle down with a good book.

Our bar serves free tea and homemade cake every afternoon between 3:00 and 6:00pm. You are also welcome to order a take-away coffee from the bar. Wiener Kaffee kann dazu bestellt werden. In the library area of the lounge you will find a selection of international daily newspapers and magazines as well as literature and guide books on the city of Vienna.

SEMINARS & MEETINGS
To be able to work undisturbed, you need a quiet room, a good internet connection, plenty of water or coffee and tea, a few healthy snacks, and the requisite technology to share ideas and content with others. Luckily, we have all this ready and waiting for you at our boutique hotel in Vienna.

Our seminar rooms have a separate entrance, a break foyer, a work station with a PC and, of course, state-of-the-art conference technology such as a ceiling-mounted projector, screen, audio system, whiteboard and flipcharts.

BUSINESS
A business hotel with stylish decor, authentic flair and excellent wireless internet? ? If that sounds like your kind of thing then The Harmonie is the right place for your next trip to Austria’s capital city. Our boutique hotel enjoys a quiet yet central location close to many of the major event locations. Within the hotel we offer two seminar rooms for undisturbed meetings.

CREATIVE WORKING
Looking for a personal, modern and familiar business hotel with a passion for art and design as well as cosy rooms and WLAN for your business trip to Vienna? Our boutique hotel, The Harmonie Vienna, is the perfect place to combine business and leisure – from its plush, cosy furnishings to its location in the trendy Servitenviertel district to its outstanding service.

DANCE & THEATRE
The expressive elements of dance and painting lend The Harmonie an unmistakable charm which can be seen right down to the smallest detail. With every step you take, you become more immersed in the fascinating world of Vienna’s cultural scene.

This artistic vibe also extends beyond the hotel itself and can be seen, for example, in a number of local buildings designed by famous Viennese architect Otto Wagner around the turn of the 20th century.

Harmonious colours and shapes combined with eye-catching design elements create a warm, welcoming and creative atmosphere in our rooms and suites. The Harmonie is a boutique hotel which exudes the artistic vibe of Old Vienna. The overall concept was initiated by the hotel’s general manager Sonja Wimmer, who has had a love of art and dance since her early childhood.

ART PROJECT WITH LUIS CASANOVA SOROLLA
Luis Casanova Sorolla’s paintings are as unique as The Harmonie’s overall art concept itself. This Vienna-based artist with Peruvian roots creates unique works capturing the dynamism of dance.

Throughout the hotel and in each room you will find paintings depicting solo dancers from the Vienna State Opera – colourful and powerful works created as part of the “Signapura” art project.

THE HARMONIEGASSE
The origins of The Harmonie’s name and concept are as authentic as its plush furnishings. The name can be traced back to the Harmonietheater, a theatre formerly located on the eponymous Harmoniegasse road.

Today still you can admire the imposing façades of the historic buildings designed by the famous Austrian architect Otto Wagner, which have been delighting passers-by for the past 150 years.

Right next to the Harmonie Vienna boutique hotel is the first of several buildings designed by Wagner as an ensemble in the Harmoniegasse. With so much city history on our doorstep, it was soon clear that the name of the hotel had to be, you guessed it, “The Harmonie Vienna”

EXPERIENCE IN VIENNA
“Vienna, Vienna, you alone, shall always be the city of my dreams…” goes a well-known song. Austria’s capital offers not only countless cultural sights, traditional cafés and bakeries, but also enjoyable, modern restaurants, fun experiences, music events and a vibrant nightlife.

CULTURE & COOPERATION
Our beautiful and historic city would not be the same without its arts scene. From theatre and ballet to opera and operetta, from dance and museums to exhibitions and food festivals, there is so much going on. We live and love Viennese culture – and we are cooperate with several major partners from the city’s arts scene.

THE KABINETTTHEATER
Hosting theatre and live music, the Kabinetttheater focuses in particular on (musical) theatre at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, Expressionism, Dadaism, the Vienna Group and contemporary dramatic literature.

As you step inside you will immediately see the passion and dedication with which the arts scene has been celebrated here for 22 years. After the performance, head to the bar to try the legendary brown bread with cheese and chives. The Kabinetttheater guarantees a wonderful evening you will remember for years to come.

THE VIENNA STATE BALLET
The Vienna State Ballet has a long and proud history as one of the most famous and revered cultural institutions in the city. Guests who stay for two nights or more receive discounted tickets for the ballet. If you book at least two nights, you will receive discounted tickets for current performances.

THE VOLKSOPER WIEN
Colourful, multi-faceted and full of life – these words are a good way describe the works put on at the Volksoper Wien. It is the only place in Vienna specifically dedicated to the operetta genre, though the programme also includes opera, musical and ballet.

The Volksoper Wien is home to over 150 singers, 95 orchestral musicians, 64 choristers and over 100 dancers. In 1898 it was opened as the “Kaiser-Jubiläums-Stadttheater” (Emperor’s Jubilee City Theatre) and put on plays in its early years. In 1904 the Volksoper as we know it today was founded.

RONACHER THEATRE & RAIMUND THEATRE
The Ronacher Theatre was originally designed to offer an alternative to the imperial court theatres, but just a few years after opening it was destroyed by fire. Anton Ronacher rebuilt it in 1886 and ran it as a classical vaudeville theatre until the 1930s. Today it hosts successful long-run musical productions.

The Raimund Theatre was also originally a spoken-word theatre which was later turned into a musical theatre. Founded in 1893 as a suburban theatre staging spoken plays, it began putting on operettas from 1908. The theatre flourished after a general renovation in the 1980s, when the Broadway show A Chorus Line proved a huge hit with Viennese audiences.
